Let me just say, 'Not my bag of tea'. I would recommend trying it just to try it, but I really didn't care for it. I have a few friends that do enjoy it, so I would say get a sample before anything.

I love green tea, and thought the addition of popcorn and toasted rice would be a nice addition. For some people I'm sure it is (there's nothing wrong with it), but I will probably stay with my pure sencha.

The genmai cha 'pop' has a lively flavour! Reminds me of a favourite Japanese restaurant.

It tastes like popcorn! Either you like it or you don't. I like it!

I first tasted this from a friend and had to buy some for myself. It has a different feel than most green teas. With its unique nutty flavor, I enjoy it more than a most green tea.

This is a wonderful specimen of a wonderful tea. The mix has a little too much rice-to-tea ratio, but other than that is one of the best I have tried.

I have yet to find a tea from Adagio that I don't like.

This is so much fun! I love chewing on the rice and popped corn kernels! It took me a while to get used to the flavor, though, which is really quite nutty as a result of the toasted rice.

I love the bags in general, but genmai cha is an acquired taste. It has a very heavy popcorn flavor.

This is the best genmai tea i've ever had, soooo fragrant and tasty. Don't steep too long or it'll be bitter.

This tea has cute little popcorn peaces, and has a wonderful taste. I love japaneese brown rice and green tea, and this is a step above and beyond.

This tea was a little bitter for my taste, even though I was careful to let the boiling water cool a bit before steeping for only 3 minutes as instructed. It does smell nice though, and looks neat with the rice and popcorn.

The grain adds an interesting 'toasted' flavor, but the green tea itself didn't seem noteworthy.

Really pleasant unique taste! Try it and you'll love it! As you steep it, it becomes more flavorful, but not bitter. Great with Japanese food. I was very happy to find it on this site.

This genmai chas was very very good. The toasty flavor that the rice provides is just exellent, and it offsets the taste of the tea about perfectly. It makes my whole office smell good, too!

I had reservations about a tea with, well, stuff in it. But, I have to admit, it was pretty good.

Yes, that's rice krispies and popcorn in your tea. And it tastes darned good, too! It reminds me of oriental rice crackers. A nice change of pace -- good for when you're trying to satisfy a 'salty' craving. Be careful not to oversteep, it can get bitter.

These aren't for everyone, but I really like the roasted taste and having the tea in tea bags is super convenient for brewing at work.

I rate this the best because of the quality. These are very full leaves and it is a tea that is worth the scant price you will pay for it here. Adagio takes what was originally the poor man's tea and makes it into an extraordinary treat.

I love the nutty flavor of rice and green tea. It softens the sometimes strong flavor of green tea nicely.

This tea is very exiting! It smells like popcorn and rice crispies; is very fun to drink. This tea is swiftly becomming a favorite.

I couldn't believe how good this tea is. I, usually, prefer unsweetened, black tea, but this was great. It has a surprising natural sweetness and a great nutty flavor. I will get more.

I thought this would be fun, but the popped corn in it really doesn't go well with my taste as teas go... I was a bit dissapointed

Very, very nice and quite interesting. The puffed rice and corn adds a very intriguing aesthetic and flavor component to an otherwise pleasing green tea. Subtle sweet flavor with a nice nutty undertaste.

I recently returned from a trip to Asia. I traveled India, China and Japan- three countries I associate with a rich history and palatte of teas. I must say that I tried the genmai cha in Japan and Adagio's version is superb. It is full yet not bitter with a nice toasted rice flavor: A sure competitor to the popular genmai's straight from Nihon!

I bought this for my husband to try. He enjoys green tea. It has an interesting smell/taste kindof nutty. I don't recommend this tea to a beginning green tea drinker.

Okay, maybe this just isn't my cup of ... well, you know. I found this stuff to be terribly bitter and just plain nasty. I even added honey (which I never do) and could barely even tolerate it then!

I'm not a big fan of green tea, but I love the toasty flavor from the rice in genmaicha.

The aroma was great but the flavor was weak. Tried using more per cup but didn't seem to strengthen it.

a good change from regular green tea. the brown rice is flavorful and very tasty. a bit anti-sweet.

An alternative taste - this tea is a little bit different than anything else I've tasted. You can see and taste the mini-popcorns that create such a unique flavor.

Kind of hard to get by the almost nutty flavour, I find I can't drink more than a cup without upsetting my palate.

The aroma leaves much to be desired, however I enjoyed the malty flavor. I made this for my family and they politely requested I keep it to myself. So sample at your own risk, this is for the truly curious only!

My favorite so far. Very different, and very enjoyable. The corn, rice, and green tea flavors blend together perfectly. Very refreshing and light.

Often hard to find, Genmai Cha is one of my favorite teas, by far! The subtle flavor of toasted rice and green tea is a remarkable combination unlike any other I have found! I highly reccomend!
