The sample is actually a nice size to start off with as for me, about 10 buds is enough to really bring out the fragrance in this tea.
This tea has a very floral fragrance, and is sweet. One of the more fragrant of the the collection of teas I have. I can see why it is the most famous scented tea in China. Being that it is sweet it requires little honey if at all.
This is the best jasmine tea I have ever tasted. It is even pleasant when you over steep it, and it has fantastic buttery overtones. In addition, the Jasmine isn't too overpowering in this one, like it usually is in Jasmine flavored green teas.
I actually prefer the second steeping on this tea because it gets really buttery and a little less jasmine. A fantastic tea!

I should start by saying this is MY opinion, I understand many people will disagree, but then that's just the nature of making a statement.
I love Jasmine teas, both green and white, and I've enjoyed the few varieties I've had from adagio immensely, with that being said, this tea left me thoroughly underwhelmed.
I tried everything I could to get as wonderful of a cup of tea as all the commenters seem to have had - I played with amounts, stepping time, temperatures, resteeping, different vessels and absolutely none of it gave me a cup that would entice me to buy more. By the time I was finished experimenting, my tea was gone.
Price usually isn't a bother for me, you get what you pay for in most instances, but in this particular instance, $40 for a small tin of what I would consider 3.5 star tea was unnecessary.
The tea is good, yes, but I really like the jasmine silver needle and yin hao much more than this variety.
This tea is very light in color and flavor.

This is my first loose jasmine. I might not be the most trustworthy source, but this is very enjoyable. I've never liked cheap jasmine teas I've tried because it smells like a grandma's soap, and ends up tasting like it too. I might not ever drink jasmine pearls every day, but the fragrance of these is so lovely and soothing. It's strong enough to make my entire kitchen smell of it. But the flavor isn't necessarily as strong as some cheaper ones I've tried with artificial flavoring. Very glad I bought the sample of this.

I love Jasmine tea and this one is one of the best that I've come across so far.
How can you go wrong with this jasmine pearl. You get a lot in that little container and it was still good after 2 steepings.
Definitely my favorite tea. The smooth delicate but full flavor and aroma last for at least 3 sweepings making this a very reasonable purchase.
The only downside of this tea is the price. Unbelievably smooth and easy to drink.
I like to blend this with some Jade Snail for a subtle jasmine flavor.

Update: Steeping the tea for 5 min, not 3min, did the trick on the flavor issue I had. Still this tea does not suck the moisture from my mouth! So a Great! from me!

I have to admit, I have had jasmine pearls that are much stronger in jasmine flavor than this. That said though, the teas I've had that offer the stronger flavor have a dry bite to them. As if the moisture was sucked from my tongue. This does not offer that objection. So the only reason I am rating this as good and not great is simply that I would like the jasmine flavor to be more intense. But, I believe that steeping for a little longer might do the trick.
Also a wonderful cold brewed tea. Flavorful full-bodied and the jasmine is just right. Love it
wow this tea is amazing. it has a very unique taste and is very light. don't let the price scare you either because you can make this tea last a long time. I resteeped the same leaves 3 different times in my french press and still got great tasting tea.

Simple, delicate, elegant. Delightful floral flavor doesn't fully blossom until the 3rd steeping at which point I was floating on a steamy, jasmine cloud.

This was my first time trying this tea and I was pleasently surprised. Tastes as good as it smells.
The jasmine really comes out in this tea. the aroma is fantastic and it really is quite relaxing.
I used my frequent flyer tea points to try this Master Tea! Truly one of the most delicate and balanced Jasmine Teas I have ever had the pleasure to taste. Good for a couple steeps too which makes it a bit more cost effective. Worth every penny!!

Being that I payed $9 for a Masters tea sample I wasn't expecting this great of tea. If you like traditional green tea you have to try this. Plus it is in a very unique case for a sample.
The tea itself is pretty good. It's not the best jasmine tea I have ever had, but I love it nonetheless! The tin is beautiful though! I am going to use it for storing my other jasmine teas when this runs out.
Delicate and fragrant treat, worth the money, one has to find the right number of pearls per cup to suit individual taste, has to be brewed with 80 C water to preserve flavor
I like to consider myself a rather big jasmine fan and I have to say, this is just wonderful, one of the best I've had. This was my first rolled/pearl tea and I can now say, I am a fan. The pearls are pretty tiny, but not near as messy as normal loose leaf tea, plus the flavor is amazing.
I purchased this tea as a Christmas gift for my mum. She absolutely loved it! It's the real thing!
This tea is just great. The best jasmine pearl tea I have ever had. And I have drank a lot of jasmine pearls. The jasmine flavor is perfect. Some teas have too much jasmine or too little. I highly recommend this tea to any tea lover.
Fresh, and vibrant jasmine flower aroma once brewed. Pale, light bodied, sweet liquor with hues of jasmine blooms. A perfect balance of floral and green tea flavours. Exquisite and addictive.
It's fantastic. Powerful floral flavor, perfectly smooth. But it didn't taste any different from the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, which is scads cheaper... Or maybe I'm just a total pleb with an unrefined palate.

If you like the scent of jasmine in your green tea, you will enjoy this one. It is a soft tea, in fragrance and taste, not astringent at all. Last but not least, the little rolled up buds are easy to measure.
I am not a big fan of jasmine. That is, until I had this one. It's a very silky tea that doesn't choke you with the flowers. Smooth, subtle, and very enjoyable.

I've given this tea a second try when the Phoenix Pearls were again unavailable. I'm convinced that the first review that I posted reflected my errors in water temperature or stepping time. This time, I carefully calibrated and loved the tea. I almost always add honey to my other teas and decided to do so with the Fujian Pearls this time. I make it in a 24 oz. iron teapot and stir the honey (1 tsp. per 8 oz. of water) into the leaves after adding the water so that the tea and honey flavors steep together. What a difference. The tea was wonderful. I do steep it a little longer than some other jasmines.
I'll buy again as a treat (because of the per/cup cost).
This is the best tea I have ever had hands down! I can make a whole pot and keep re-steeping the leaves over and over without any loss of flavor. This is an expensive tea but you definitely get what you pay for and it is so worth it!
Easily one of my favorite teas I've ever bought from Adagio (and I've bought lots). Excellent taste and definitely worth the slightly higher price.
I was surprised by just how much I ended up liking the regular Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, and this version is even better! Bolder, yet lighter and a hint sweeter at the same time. Considering it's only 2x the price (unlike a couple of the other master's that are 5x), it's well worth it!
I love this tea, but I'm not quite sure if it's worth the price for me. I'll probably order the jasmine phoenix pearls next time.
This is the nectar of the gods! It tastes like a sunny European valley in the middle of spring! This is easily the nicest jasmine tea I've tried thus far. I highly recommend it!
