I’ll give this 3.5 stars. It was ok for me, but my son loved it. He knew right away it was an EG without me telling him. Bergamot is strong
in this one. Not offensive, but difficult to taste other flavors over it. However, I have had this in blends that I like. I did not find this too bitter or astringent. There are better green teas and better earl greys from Adagio. Steeped at 180° for 2 mins.

It tasted a lot like a spinach salad with a citrus and fennel dressing! Not my cup of tea per say, but it was high quality and would be very nice for those who enjoy that particular flavor profile.

I really enjoyed this! I even prefer it over a traditional Earl Grey.

A good take on Earl grey. Works iced as well. Some who are on the fence about Earl grey might find the bergamot too overbearing because it doesn’t have the black tea to compete with.

I normally love EG, and sometimes green teas, but this didn’t do it for me today. My first steep was too vegetal and bitter, the second was better. As my second steep cooled though it took on an almost soapy taste. This was not my kind of earl.

Bergamot scents burst out of the packet as it opened. Steeping at 180°F for 3 minutes created a medium yellow-green tea that smelled like Earl Grey.

Citrusy bergamot is definitely in the foreground, with a crisp green tea base. A mild citrus sweetness was also present. Plenty of green tea astringency finishes out each sip.

The 3 minute steep time may have been a little on the long side, so I think I'd try this one at 2 minutes next time. There was a slight bitterness that became stronger as the tea cooled. Adding some goldenrod honey brought it back into balance and accented the green tea perfectly.

CommuniTea, you provide such a variety of teas to taste and a green earl grey was quite intriguing. The earl grey flavor was very strong with the zing of bergamot present in each sip. I started the cup excited for such a strong flavor but, by the end, really found myself wishing for a better balance with the green tea. It was still a good tea but not something I would put in steady rotation against other EGs.

I am not a fan of green teas. I'm usually okay with earl greys. This smelled like Froot Loops...so I was optimistic, but it tasted like soap.

If you love greens and earl greys...try it, but if you're iffy...avoid this altogether.

normally, earl grey is one of my favorites, but for some reason, this one didn't really work for me. another reviewer commented that the various flavors seemed to pull in opposite directions, and maybe that's what i'm having a hard time putting my finger on... while i would turn down a cup, if offered, i think this is the first adagio tea i've tried that i don't plan to order at some point.

What a pleasant blend! I’m not fond of green teas, but I love Earl Grey blends. This was a great balanced cup. I steeped short and not too hot-176° and for just 2 minutes. This kept the green base in check and kept Earl from overstepping his boundary. Adding a touch of cream and sugar created a perfect comforting cup of tea, and a green tea that I can enjoy!

Today's CommuniTea packet is earl grey green , which is made up of green tea, orange, bergamot and blue cornflowers. I usually like Adagio's green teas, but this one didn't do anything for me. The tea and flavorings seem to pull in opposite directions. Steeped in 10 ounces of water at 180 degrees for 3 minutes.

Thanks to Adagio, I have learned to enjoy Earl Grey and green teas. Put them together, and I had a really good tea day! Steeped at 165°F x 2 minutes, and sweetened slightly. Enjoyed the second steep with a little vanilla green tea added. Definitely need to get some of this one!

This was ok for me. I suppose it's a nice green tea for Earl Grey lovers. I enjoy EG more as part of a blend...so this just wasn't my cuppa tea.

I found it had a really strong bitter taste. And I usually love green teas or black teas the most. Not sure why this was, but it made it just meh as a tea for me.

I usually don't like green tea, but the earl grey definitely made it taste a bit better. That being said... I think drinking it just gave me a small headache.

For me, the bergamot and orange flavors were too strong in this tea. But if you like Earl Grey and green tea, you'll like this.

I had to have mine iced today as I cleaned my car today. I love the combination of green tea and bergamot. I got a slight orange taste as well. This would be great if you need to get off the black tea.

I have always felt like Earl Grey tastes like Froot Loops and I think this tea is lacking that Froot Loopy-ness. It's fine, but I think it's a little misleading to call it Earl Grey.

I only steeped my tea for 1.5 minutes to prevent the green tea from becoming over steeped and astringent. Perhaps it needed to be steeped longer for the Earl grey flavors to develop.

I liked it. I like green teas more than black teas, and earl grey is one of the few black teas I like, so I figured this would be a slam dunk! Drinking clear and unsweet was weird - it was a good clean green tea, but with the citrus-cream flavor that earl grey has, so my tongue didn't know what I was drinking! I added some sweetener and milk - how I normally dress up an earl grey (a pseudo london fog!) - and the end result was delicious, though no different than a traditional earl grey in flavor... just green. Probably one of the few times green fog is an OK thing!?

I am not a big fan of Earl Grey and I am usually able to find some joy in it from the balance of black tea. That was missing here and the crisp green tea seemed to only amp the bergamot. It was tolerable, but not something I would reach for.

I love green teas… I don’t love Earl Greys. In fact, most of the time I get nauseous about 15-20 minutes after having a cup of Earl. Maybe a sensitivity to one of the ingredients? Anyways…. If your thinking this is a tea that will unite Earl Grey lovers and Green Tea lovers…. It’s not. I still didn’t like it…. I still got sick. My husband did say it was good. From now on, I’m having him do the review for any Earl Greys that come through the communiTEA, and I’ll just try a sip.

I first tried this tea when I purchased the Earl Grey sampler. I love all things Earl Grey and this tea is no exception. The bergamot flavor is what I like and this tea is very flavorful. It's light and fresh. You don't really get the usual green notes in this tea. If you like bergamot, you will love this tea. I brewed at 175 for 3 mins. I might make an iced tea on my next brew.

I tolerate bergamot more than like it, and it was strong in this tea with only a light green tea base. Definitely better in black tea. I drank about half the cup with some added honey, and it was tolerable but not what I wanted to drink.

My packet had a generous amount of tea, about 3 tsp. The smell of it is orangey citrus. The taste...eww. Green tea is totally my jam. I love green tea. But I think I really do not like Earl Grey, or the flavor of bergamot. It reminds me of some fruity kids cereal, or Lemon Pledge. Ughh, gonna have to drink some Pu Erh to get this taste outta my mouth! :P

Did not know what to make this of this tea based on the name. For my mind still thinks of black earl grey. However with the strong bergamot flavor shows that with enough flavor, you're not going to miss the black tea.

Green tea makes a nice clean base for the traditional Earl Grey flavors. The bergamot flavor characteristic of Earl Grey comes through nicely, but on a base of green tea it lacks the astringency that often accompanies a traditional Earl Grey. Whereas I generally sweeten Earl Grey, I felt no need to sweeten this version. (3 min. @ 175F)

Love Earl Grey and green tea, yet I would never have thought of the two blended together. A bright, invigorating taste. Brewed at 190º for 3 minutes.

For me, the bergamot citrus notes seem to be mostly enhancing the vegetable notes of the green and the floral notes of the cornflowers. Sometimes I taste citrus notes, but the strongest flavors are floral and vegetable by a longshot. It's not horrible, but not something I would seek out.

If you enjoy Earl Grey tea, then add this to your rotation. The green tea base makes this lighter yet more flavorful. The bergamot comes through nicely and is well balanced.

I’m shocked to say that I didn’t hate this one. I was fully prepared to. However, I don’t love it either. We created a truce and that is the best I can do. The truce was forged by adding some monkfruit sweetener. Without it, I would have found this undrinkable, but with the sweetness it was alright! Me and the Earl always circle each other distrustfully and that dynamic hasn’t changed. Sometimes we gel, like with bergamot in a blend, and sometimes we don’t, when bergamot is featured on its own. But, this wasn’t a complete train wreck and for that (and sweetener!) I am grateful. Happy Sipping!

My first try at Earl grey green. Love this Earl grey too. It is a bit on the light side, but still a flavorful blend. Love CommuniTea, I would have never tried this delicious tea on my own, so many really great teas that we get to sample.

Earl Grey and Green Tea?
Some may question this combo…
Until they taste it!

The green tea supports
The Fragrance of bergamot
Quite a partnership!

Now what else will blend?
Like tomatoes and ice cream?!?
Or milk and Yuengling?

(Haiku meanderings….)

In the bag, mild earl gray. I do like a cup of earl gray, but not a huge fan or green tea, and you can't really smell the green tea in the bag. once brewed...smells like green tea with a HINY of earl gray. 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because the earl gray still comes out when sipped, but it still tastes like green tea, which I am not personally a big fan of. But the taste is as expected and as the name suggests.

Strong bergamot, orang and floral fragrance prior to steeping. The scent remains after brewing. This is a delicious cup of tea with a strong bergamot flavor (I like that) with a mild hint of the cornflowers. It pairs well with the green tea so I can drink Earl Grey all day long now when I want to. Good deal.

This tea is delicious! I love Earl Grey, but I’d never had it with green tea, until now. I found that the orange and bergamot tone down the vegetal grassiness flavor many use to describe green tea. If you’re avoiding green tea for that reason, give this a try. If you’re like me, and Earl Grey of any kind makes your heart flutter, don’t miss this blend. Happy sipping!

I was excited to try this one, but it's not my favourite. When I tried brewing one cup at a time, the bergamot was extremely powerful, and it only got more intense as the tea cools down. Brewing a full pot was generally a better experience with a more well rounded flavour profile, so that's what I'd reccomend. I'll personally stick to black earl greys or other green teas.
