The scent is heavenly in the packet. I love teas that unfurl and enjoyed watching this one come to life. The Jasmine is flavorful and smooth. What a delicious high quality tea!
Perfumy hand-rolled tea from Fuding, in Fujian, China. Each pearl is just one leaf and a bud. When added to hot water, the pearls majestically unfurl, releasing a delicate scent and flavor. Sweet and almost sugary.

CommuniTEA portion: Steeped at 195 for 2-1/2 minutes. Got 2 steeps and could have gone for more! Excellent sip! The aroma was very floral and I was nervous the taste would be too much but it was very balanced. A bit buttery even. Light and tasty. The pearls unfurling were also a delight.
This was not a favorite of mine. The aroma was nice, but I didn't find the aftertaste appealing.
The peals are so pretty! The jasmine is much stronger than I thought it would be, giving it an almost perfume-like taste. Unfortunately that made this just an okay tea to me, but if you're a fan of floral tea you should definitely check this one out!
I am delighted by this tea. I opened my CommuniTEA packet and dumped the contents into my strainer basket. I didn’t quite count the pearls, but I was looking at them hoping that the small number would give enough flavor. Three minutes steep time at 195° and the pearls had unfurled to almost the top of my strainer. Wow! Those little pearls hid long leaves. The aroma is heavenly and the taste is mild and smooth. I had purchased a box of jasmine pearls in the pyramid tea bags awhile ago and was apprehensive about brewing them up. I am now going to use them. I am a jasmine tea fan now.
Lots of perfumy flavor coming from the tiny Jasmine pearls. This tea is absolutely wonderful and goes well with sugar cookies. I really don't care for floral flavors, but This tea is just incredible.
I like this green tea very much so, I'm going to get a bag of this tea. The floral is very strong but there is a slight sweetness, that tones down the Jasmine and make the tea very classy.
As a jasmine lover, I really enjoyed these pearls! The dry pearls are beautiful, and have a lovely green tea and jasmine scent. Once the water hits them, though, the smell shifts to intensely floral. I steeped for a little under 3 minutes at 180, and the result was a lightly sweet, extremely jasmine-forward cup with a hint of green tea towards the end. If you don't like floral teas, you'll want to skip this one. If you're hit-or-miss on green teas, but love florals, this is probably a safe bet for you! A second steep was also delicious, though not quite as strong.
Thee most magnificent Jasmine tea I have ever experienced...From start to finish, its a magickal tea journey. The unfurlment of the Pearls, the Aroma, the Jasmine Flavorful Pow-Ah! A treat to enjoy via a CT selection...Most definitely on my Wishlist!!!
My sample seemed to taste a little on the lighter side, to my surprise. I prefer the Jasmine Chun Hao tea to this one.
I love how beautiful the pearls are a nd really loved watching them unfurl. My CommuniTEA packet had lots of lovely pearls and some crumbs. The flavor of the tea is very jasmine dominant and the green tea flavor is very mild. 195 for 2 minutes.
When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with the delicate aroma of jasmine. I steeped the tea for about 3 minutes and it was so fun to watch the jasmine pearls slowly unfurl. The tea had a smooth, floral taste. Wonderful cup of tea!
A lovely tea that is filled with jasmine goodness. Nice and flowery. One of the better jasmine teas I have had.
this is the only green tea I really love. gorgeous perfume but not-perfumey jasmine taste with the green coming through. def do not oversteep
This is such a pretty tea. If only I liked floral teas, this probably would have been amazing. But... I just don't, no matter how much I try. This is an extremely perfumy tea, and almost cloying in its floral sweetness, so it's just not for me. But I did like watching the pearls unfurl as they steeped. That was a lovely moment of zen to start the day.
I truly enjoyed this tea as a part of my CommuniTEA box. I like jasmine tea but have found the level of flavor in some to be overwhelming. This tea had a great balance of lovely flavor that was just right. I would recommend this tea and hope to drink it again soon.
I love teas that unfurl, but I was a bit unsure of this one. Packet had a good number of pearls and some whitish particulates. Put it all in my brewer. Steeped at 195F for 3 minutes (my kettle doesn't have a 195 setting, so heated to 200 and let sit for 2 minutes before pouring into brewer). I don't like most floral teas, and anything with grassy notes...but kept an open mind. The last jasmine tea I tried I loved...willing to give another a try! The aroma is a bit unusual...I'm not sure what I would compare it to. Maybe fresh hay with a bit of grain and just a whisper of a medicinal/herbal scent. I thought about it for a few seconds...and decided that the aroma is calming. Then I sipped...this would be the deciding moment. Light, smooth, gentle flavor...as I breathed in, the perfumed, magical hint of jasmine kicked in. Not too much...just enough. Lovely! No hint of vegetal/grassy notes...just a soft herbal/grainy floral scent and taste. It's a yes from me -- this tea is wonderful! It's like I can taste the earth, the green hillside in China where it grew, the sunshine and the jasmine flowers in my cup. Love it! But I can tell this is not a tea to oversteep...3 minutes max, and 190/195F. I added about 20 seconds to the first steep to allow the pearls to unfurl. Lovely tea!
1/31/2023 - This is the tea that brought me over to the green side :) When I first started really learning to properly brew tea and wanting to branch out to trying new-to-me teas, I was a firm 'I do not like Jasmine teas'' person. This tea changed my mind...I'm still picky about my Jasmines, but I found that I really enjoy these teas. Just about the only floral tea I enjoy. Happily sipping today's CT tea!
In the bag: About a dozen pearls. Besides the usual dark green leaves, a few yellow leaves are in the pearls and a few have broken off. I assume these are the young leaf buds.
On the nose (pre-steep): The classic grassy notes of green are the main attraction. I don't get the musty aroma of most greens at pre-steep. A hint of jasmine, though it's subtle.
On the nose (post-steep): I smelled Jasmine the moment the tea hit the water. It and grass are now both reporting, though it's the louder of the two.
On the tongue: Jasmine is the dominant flavor. I get grass as well, especially on the sides and back of my tongue. Naturally semi-sweet. Somewhat intense.
Opinion: A fun tea that I enjoyed, but it's heavy on the jasmine. A better balance between floral and grassy would have improved the blend. Note that I don't enjoy Jasmine on its own, so this might just be my personal preference.
Preparation: 2.5 min @ 195 ℉, no sweetener
While the jasmine scent of this tea is strong, the flavor isn't as strong. There is a good balance between the green tea flavors and the floral jasmine. I love watching rolled leaves unfurl during steeping, so that is an added bonus! The leaves will hold up to several steepings, with the jasmine flavor getting lighter each time.
Very floral taste, and it went down nice and smooth. Very delightful way to end the January CommuniTEA
I have a love hate relationship with Jasmine. This tea isn't over powering in Jasmine (if brew time and temp is reduced). It is fun to watch the balls unfurl. I recommend to all and adjust the brew time and temperature to less if you are not a Jasmine/foral fan.
This tea is overwhelmingly floral, and very much like what is often served in Asian restaurants.
UPDATED from 2/24/21: Like baby birds, the curled up pearls (and some tiny white pieces) roll into my large infuser, giving off the slightest fresh grass smell. As the hot water hits them, they awaken and I watch as they slowly spread open their wings, filling the infuser from edge to edge. They now have a more floral aroma, and the tea color is a light golden. This is buttery smooth, with almost zero astringency. The jasmine birds fly in and cover up any grassiness with their sweet, yet strong, floral flavor which stays in my mouth and nose long after the swallow. This steeps successfully several times and needs no additions to be enjoyed. Tastes equally good hot or cold. It does get milder with each steeping. (1st steep: 3:30 mins @ 190ºF; subsequent steeps: 2 min @ 190ºF).
This tea is so delicious, it's flowery but not overpowering and has a natural sweetness/ honey flavor, such a great steep and you can steep multiple times. Use a glass vessel its fun to watch the tea leaves dance💜
Very nice, rounded jasmine flavor that is very forgiving when I forget to stop steeping. Resteeps very well.
This is one of the best jasmine teas I've been able to get over the internet. It's light and airy but the jasmine flavor is the focus. Absolutely one of my favorites and a constant repurchase.
Very light and pleasant! The jasmine fragrance is a nice touch, though the jasmine flavor itself is very subtle.
My favorite jasmine tea in the entire world. I had a go-to jasmine green tea from another company which was discontinued recently. When I tried the adagio pearls from my advent calendar this year I was so happy! It's perfect to make a small pot. I love having the sachets with the right amount, too. Just what I needed!
Very, very good. Almost like as much as Jasmine Silver Needle. It has a nice sweetness without anything added.
This has been and forever will be my FAVORITE tea. It has depth, sweetness, floral notes, and reminds me of memories of visiting my favorite local Chinese restaurant with my mom back in Michigan.
Delicious and light as always! It’s one of my two favorite teas and I’ll always come back for it by the pound!
This is the tea I drink every day, and it's been my favorite for my whole life. I love soothing and floral teas, so this is perfect.
I am obsessed with this tea, I just bought a huge bag of it. It tastes perfumey but in a good, refreshing way. I tend to sip my tea so half of it goes cold, but even cold it’s still great.
Always in my next order! A great tasting, clean Jasmine tea.
This is my go to tea for every day drinking and the tea that got me to kick my soda habit. I can usually get three steepings out of a set of leaves (at 3, 4, and 4 minutes respectively) with the flavor being most delicate and floral on the first steep, strongest but not truly bitter on the last. Yes, it costs a bit more than other teas but for me the quality is worth it, and it is far cheaper than soda is these days.
This year’s pearls (22) smell heavenly and have a fresh sweet scent that has been missing for a couple years! This is the best Jasmine pearl I have had at this cost. It has the sweet smell and light taste that makes this tea so easy and relaxing to drink both hot and iced.
At first the brew looked so light I was wondering if it needed more time. (I had let water get a little cool...) but even though it was practically see-through it was very flavorful. I love the smell of the jasmine and the pearls were fun to watch unfold. Was not bitter at all. 5 grams. Got 3 good steeps. By 4 was starting to lose flavor enough to not be as good.
This is a strong Jasmine. The way the pearls unravel looks just as amazing as the tea tastes.
Very smooth , tasty tea AAA+++ great tea ...
This tea is a family favorite and we can't go without it.
Can steep 2-3 times max before it starts to get bitter. Smells great and the balls swell to a far greater size then what you'd expect.
this one was super light and refreshing. its a little bit expensive to drink on a daily basis. kind of a 'i earned this' kind of tea to sit back and drink
Nice jasmine pearls, but I don’t know that I can taste much difference compared to more economical versions.
LOVE the jasmine fragrance of the pearls! Perfect accompaniment for my morning routine. Unfold beautifully.
The best jasmine tea I have ever tasted, does not taste like perfume.
One of my favorites really takes me back and I haven’t had this tea in so long
I love this it's so refreshing and the fragrance is lovely. I suggest not leaving the bag in for too long or it'll be too strong and bitter.
Update: I think they changed the tea a little, not sure but I think it is improved because it has more jasmine flower petals and smells so good! I love it, thank you!
I love watching this tea steep. It is one of my favorite green teas. I think the Jasmine flavor can be hit or miss for some but I really enjoy it. It is a pretty light tea but don't over steep. It will get an unpleasant flavor if over it over steeps.
love these little pearls. I don't drinking them alone i add them to different teas to switch it up a bit
It’s so hard to capture this taste in words but the closest I’ve gotten to it is a thick forest after a downpour during a warm night. It’s simply earthy. Flavor is even better after it cools.
