Love this tea. This was so smooth and that perfect blend that made me think of a thin mint.

★★☆☆☆

I only like green tea when it's very light. This one was too full bodied for me and overtook the mint and chocolate flavors. Just too grassy to be a good combination. However, if you like strong green teas and chocolate mint, you'll probably enjoy this one

This is my least favorite flavor profile. Chocolate, mint, and green tea. No thank you. I could only take a few sips. The green tea tasted too much like seaweed for me. It did not balance at all with the chocolate and mint. It gets 3 stars because my son, who is a choc/mint fan, really liked this one. He said he got mostly mint and the flavors of the green tea, but he enjoyed it. Steeped 180º for 2 mins.

Better than some other minty teas I've tried. I don't know if it's the added chocolate flavor, or the softer green tea base, but the mint in this one is bearable (which is saying something, for me).

A wonderful minty tea with a holiday flair. The mint chocolate flavor is delicious with the lighter tea base of green tea. It would make a good year round one too. Chilled, it refreshes wonderfully as a cool peppermint iced tea with a chocolate accent.

My Ct packet had a generous 4 g/ 3 tsp of flat green tea leaves with a scattering of cocoa nibs and peppermint leaves. Brewed 18 oz. in a PersonaliTEA teapot at 175*F, green tea temp., for just under 3 min.. A resteep of 9 oz. for 3:30 min. was enjoyable with a flavor that was more mint than chocolate. With a sweetener add of agave, all flavors were boosted nicely. The green tea base was friendly and had just a whisper of grassy taste that the main chocolate mint flavor covered well. This tea is a terrific holiday one that easily spans the seasons with its yummy chocolate mint taste.

I like this green! The mint and chocolate complement the green tea flavor really well!

Something about this one doesn’t work. The green tea is a savory tea which just doesn’t go with the mint and chocolate for me. 175° for 2.5 minutes.

I enjoyed this tea. It was a bit like chocolate-mint-light with the green tea base. Although not a favorite, I would not turn it down if served.

I'm not big on green teas. This is a nice mix of cocoa and mint...but I like a stronger tea base. Great quality tea, but just not really my thing. Great for those who love green tea though!

Good blend, enough mint with a hint of chocolate to make it interesting but not drown the green

Nice chocolate mint flavor that works. Brewed at 180 for 3 minutes.

A nice combination of chocolate, mint and green tea. You can taste all the flavors and the green tea wasn't grassy tasting.

Smells like a perfect mix of cocoa and peppermint! Wonderful green tea doesn't get in the way of the cocoa notes. Great beginner's green as well.

This unexpected combination is tasty! I like green tea and just about anything with mint chocolate. The flavors work surprisingly well together.

This tea has a very nice minty flavor, but not too much in the way of chocolate or cocoa. The mint blends well with the green tea and mellows it out.

I'm not usually a fan of green teas but this tea is a winner. Who doesn't like the combination of mint and chocolate? I found the chocolate to be subtle and enjoyed the tea with a splash of oat milk.

I wasn’t thrilled with this one. I felt that green tea and chocolate just didn’t mix.

★★★★☆

I like it about as much as I've liked a green tea. I personally rated it a 6/10 for my own tastes (keeping track so I can see what kinds of flavors I like best) but it deserves a bit more than that I think for it's quality. I will say that I wish the flavors were as intense as the smell, because it smells incredible.

Yum! I usually like my teas pretty dark, but I found this tea quite delicious. The warm chocolate flavor combined with the mint is quite heavenly! Loved it!!

I love a good chocolate mint combo. Having a green tea seems to make it lighter and refreshing. I enjoyed this one as the chocolate is what I taste first, with the mint in the background. Yum !

Deliciously refreshing! Mint green tea after a meal is always incredible, adding a bit of chocolate helps to satisfy those after-meal cravings. Love it!

This is a fantastic tea. The mint is present but not overpowering, the green tea is light, just a bit grassy, and pleasant, and the coco compliments the blend nicely. This reminds me of my favorite chocolate peppermint puerh from another vendor, just the right balance of flavors. It's good hot, warm, or iced, and wonderful without any additives. A definite winner for a holiday cup or a refreshing afternoon tea any time of year.

New Review: One year later, still delicious. How have I not ordered this yet?

Original review: Oh, yum! I was a little concerned trying this, chocolate mint can be too minty, or have a fake chocolate flavor, but this one is nicely balanced and tame.

Nice green tea blend. Refreshing and balanced. Delicious hot and cold too. Did not add any extra sweetener or milk so I appreciate a tea when I can drink it as is.

I find that I’m not always a fan of flavored greens (unless its fruit/tropical flavors), so take my review with that in mind. This blend definitely delivers the mint and chocolate promised, but I find the green tea base adds an odd back note of which I’m just not fond. I’d rather have these notes with black as my base. I added some sweetener to draw out the flavors and I think that this addition is necessary. This isn’t my jam, but it might be yours! Happy Sipping!

This one is uniquely different from just a mint and chocolate. The green tea’s minerality adds a new depth. Cooling, citruses, and refreshing with a subtle bold punch for good measure.

Wow! I always loved chocolate mint candy and this has so much more flavor than I expected. The green tea flavor itself it extremely mellow and doesn't overpower or detract from the candy flavoring. (176F, 3min)

CommuniTEA Sample: This is a good green mint tea with some nice chocolate flavor. It's not quite as minty as I like, but it has some very nice chocolate tones to round out the flavor. Very nice!

I had been looking forward to trying this tea ever since I reviewed Grasshopper. It didn't disappoint. However, I tasted more green tea and mint than chocolate, but I'm always a sucker for green teas. If you are wanting more chocolate flavor, do try the Grasshopper and make yourself happy.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Chocolate mint fragrance present from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 2+ mins at 185° F, I begin to notice grassy and buttery notes from the green tea, along with mint from my cup. When I take a sip, the chocolate is subtle, but present with mint and earthy supporting notes. The finish is strong mint with a hint of chocolate and dry, earthy green tea.

Dry tea smells of mint and chocolate. Once brewed, the resulting cup is a golden green with a similar scent. When hot, the peppermint flavor was strongest. When warm, the chocolate notes with the nice green tea backdrop can be noted. I like the balance of the chocolate notes and peppermint, which is light enough that the green tea can be tasted and helps to round out the flavors, with a menthol cooling sensation after the finish. Knowing that the flavor profile is delicate helps to truly appreciate the tea. Brewed at185 for 3 minutes.

This is a wonderfully balanced cup of tea! I’m tasting the chocolate, and the mint, and a slightly astringent green, none of which overpowers the other. A tiny touch of sugar and cream makes it perfect! Very light and refreshing, I have no desire to make this rich and indulgent. It’s just a nice light treat.

22 Dec 2020 communiTEA review: Pleasant chocolate and mint aromas were noted immediately upon cutting open my communiTEA packet. Dispersed among the tea were a few tiny cocoa nibs vying for position.

When hot, mild chocolate and cocoa flavors were noted. Mint flavors were moderate. The green tea had just the proper amount of grassy flavor as to not overpower others. A tiny bit of sugar was added to smooth out the mint and bring chocolate flavors forward.

When warm, chocolate and cocoa flavors became moderate. These flavors blended nicely with the green tea providing a chocolatey “melt in your mouth” silky mouthfeel. At the end, the tea came forward and left mild peppery zings on the tongue. (3 mins @ 175ºF, 1/8 tsp sugar)

Green tea, cocoa nibs, natural chocolate mint flavor, peppermint leaves
I steeped the tea for 3 minutes at 175*F in 12 oz of water and I added 1.5 tsps of tea sugar.
I tasted this tea for the first time about a week ago. My daughter let me share some of hers. I really liked it and am looking forward to seeing if my first impressions were accurate. It smells delicious upon opening, like a chocolate mint or a thin mint Girl Scout cookie.
I can see what appears to be a good size grass type of tea (I’m assuming it’s the green tea.  ) All I can really see to identify is the tea. This tea smells amazing even once the hot water is added. It has a grassy, minty taste with mild to moderate chocolate. I enjoyed it most once it had settled a bit. These teas are teaching me patience. It was well worth the wait, however.

UPDATE 12-21-2021: I review this tea in Oct 10 2011 and somehow 'NOW' I can Taste a good amount of mint and chocolate to my liking.. Excellent!!! Awesome dessert green tea. : (Old Review) When I opened the sample of cocomint green tea, it had a very pleasant cocomint smell. The tea is an ok flavored green that is lacking in the chocolate and mint flavors. The chocolate/mint was just a very light aftertaste of chocolate/mint. It is worth to try a sample first, before you think of buying a larger size. I don't think I will order this tea again but I wouldnt refuse a cup of this tea, if offered to me.
