I did not expect this tea to taste so great but oh MAN is it. So sweet and delicate. My boyfriend also really loves this tea. Great for any time of the day, and especially great to have with dessert.

Amazing tea. Really didn't expect the creme brulee flavor to come through so heavily in both scent and taste, but it was a welcome surprise. Wish the apple flavor was a bit more pronounced but this was a wonderful autumn cup of tea. One of my new favorites.

A very pleasant and fragrant Fall tea. There’s a smooth, slight smokiness that does not overpower the other flavors. Maybe a bit heavy on the creme brulee. I enjoyed it with milk and honey.

Has elements of fruitiness in this blend but you cannot smell or taste them. The scent and taste of this tea reminds me of decomposing leaves. Interesting but not a favorite.

Great smooth, soft flavor. The apples and rose hips with a little cinnamon and creme brulee make is a great cup of tea

I was blown away by how much I immediately loved this tea. Does feel like an early morning walk with a cool white sun slowly burning away the curling mists. A little too light for me with 1 tsp per serving, so I sometimes use 2 tsp per serving and bask in the deepened flavor.

The creme brulee overpowered everything else, even the tea. I feel this would be better as an accent in a custom blend

It must be my portion but all I could taste was the creme brulee flavor. I really don't know what could've happened but it's almost overpowering.

I find the creme brulee flavour too overwhelming that I can't taste anything else...

Such a delightful green tea with favorite flavors including delicious creme brulee. It’s lightly floral with rose petals, gently spiced with cinnamon and has a hint of a tang from the rose hips. A ribbon of luscious caramel creme brulee ties it all together exquisitely. The gunpowder green is friendly despite its name and has no heavy grassy or vegetal notes to detract from the other yummy flavors. It’s slightly smoky flavor was well hidden too.

My CT packet had 4 g/ 2 full tsp of chunky tea ingredients. All were there including apple pieces, rolled gunpowder tea pellets, a few rose petals, plenty of marigolds, a nice sized rose hip and some cinnamon chips. The dry tea had a soft aroma of blended cinnamon and caramel. Brewed 12 oz. at 175*F for 3 min. And resteeped 8 oz. for 3:15 min. The liquor was the color of Autumn sunshine and was wonderful to sip unsweetened. A honey add made it extra delicious and both my cups were gone in a flash. One of the best fall teas I’ve sipped so far and a must purchase for me. I never knew a green tea could be this terrific!

I can see why my friend spoke so highly of this one! It has a slight smokey flavor, with warm toasted sugar and delicious spices that would belong in an apple pie! Great with a little honey or, in my case, marmalade stirred in.

This is just okay. I didn’t get any of the rose hip or apple flavor; which is too bad because this blend could have really used something to cut through the almost buttery flavor of the creme brûlée. I wouldn’t have this one again.

……what do I say about this tea? The description said it all!! Delicious and warming as the creme brûlée notes bathe your palate. The calming of the apple and cinnamon with the rose hips is a genius combination!! A favorite for sure!!

★★★★☆

This was a very interesting tea! I loved the aroma. And the flavor was good except for the smoke! Had it but had that slight smoke flavor I just could not tolerate.

This green tea tasted nothing like a green tea. Instead, it was more like a cool season dessert in a glass. Caramel brulee flavor mingled with light cinnamon undertones and a slight sweetness. I loved the flavor but found it slightly off-putting in liquid form. Maybe bobbas would introduce the chewiness I feel this flavor needs?

I do not recall liking this one last year so I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it this year. The creme brûlée flavor reminds me of the maple flavor from other teas. The spices were very light and I didn’t get any smokiness from the tea, which is a good thing. I added a pinch of rock sugar, now it’s like a light dessert tea. 175° for 3 minutes.

Today's tea is autumn mist green, a blend of gunpowder tea, apple pieces, cinnamon, rose hips, creme brulee flavor, marigold flowers and rose petals. The creme brulee scent is strong, but it all blends together well when you drink it. It's a clear amber once the dust settles, but there's definitely more dust than I expected there to be. You might want to use a mesh strainer, or maybe my packet came from the bottom of the batch. All in all, it's a tasty brew. Steeped in 12 ounces of 180 degree water for three minutes.

It was good the first sip, i came back like ten minutes later and it was completely different in flavor.' Where is the green,' i thought. Maybe if i make a new cup i'll give it another shot.

This tea smells wonderful out of the communiTEA packet. The creme brulee flavor tones down the smokiness of the gunpowder tea.

Original Review 9/29/2020: I've seen this tea pop up in the fall for several years now, and I have no idea why I never tried it before this. It is SO GOOD! The SMELL when I opened the sample bag was absolutely incredible - almost maple-y, which is odd considering there's no maple flavor in it. I've often been disappointed by teas that smell amazing and then taste fairly bland, but this one did not disappoint. The taste was just as wonderful. Warm, a bit spicy and a bit fruity without being overwhelming, perfect for fall.
EDIT 10/21/2021: This tea is still just as wonderful as my previous review! I made sure to steep it at a slightly lower temperature this time to avoid any potential bitterness from the green tea. The caramel/creme brulee/butterscotch, fruity, and spicy notes still taste just as good as they smell!

Fantastic tea! Comparable to the maple creme oolong in flavor, sweet and desserty without being too much. The fruity flavors aren't prominent, but add a light sweet aftertaste that boosts the rest of the flavors up.

When this packet tea was opened. The aroma filled my kitchen. At first it reminded me of chocolate and then it became lovely caromel. The green tea was perfect to blend the super smooth and rich taste of Creme brûlée. Nothing bitter and no perfume flowers

it's kind of maple syrup reminiscent. I had to add a touch of fresh grated Saigon cinnamon and monk fruit sweetener to liven it up. After that this makes a really good dessert tea with a slight smokiness aftertaste from the gunpowder

I really like this tea, it is really good, I get more of a buttery maple, then creme brule but it's still a refreshing fall flavor, I added a dot of honey and a 1/2 tsp of vegan cream, very delicious. It actually got sweeter as it cooled. Delicious!

I really want to like green tea more than I actually do. This one I like, I actually had purchased this one so I had already tried this, and liked it. Very nice, easy drinking green tea.

Can't think of anything I would change about this tea. It is one of my new favourites and added to my wish list.

CommuniTEA packet tasting, this gunpowder tea is delicious. The crème brûlée flavor is forward with a smooth cinnamon finish. Easy to drink and would be scrumptious with apple cake. Happy sipping!

Dry tea smells like creme brulee. Once brewed, the resulting cup is a darker golden green with the creme brulee scent. When hot, the sweet creme brulee flavor is prominent. When warm, the gunpowder green adds a hint of the smoky green gunpowder tea, with a hint of cinnamon. The overall flavor is sweet but light, and is quite an autumn blend. This is quite delicious on its own. Brewed at 175 for 3 minutes.

This is pretty good, but I wish I could taste more green tea. The creme brulee, while yummy, is a very strong, sweet flavor and overpowers the others for me in this blend, especially as the tea cools. Hot, I was able to discern some smokey Gunpowder green tea flavor and it was an interesting combo with the creme brulee. Kind of like mildly smoked caramel.

Delightfully green with Smokey cinnamon crunch flavor. My friend who didn’t add sweetener thought it tasted like flavored water, so you might want to add sweetener.

It as good cup of tea you can taste maple (180 @ 3 min). A delicious autumn tea.

This was a lovely surprise and not at all what I was expecting. The creme brulee taste is the strongest component and smoothes the rest of the tea into a mellow pleasure to drink. There is no hint of grassiness here, and perhaps the only identifying factor of 'green' is the lightness of the tea.

In the packet, lovely crem brulee scent with some spices, and mild fruit. Once brewed, this doesn't taste like green tea at all, which I like (I'm no the biggest fan). The spices and the creamy caramel deliciousness have a strong flavor. Nice cup of green tea if you're not a fan of green tea!

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample.
The green tea is very light in flavor and pleasant overall. There is a maple-like aftertaste though that I don't care for.

What an unusual, delicious tea! I'm kind of at a loss to even describe it. There caramel comes through first and foremost, but there are other flavors in the background that aren't individually identifiable. No rose or smoky gun powder for me, but whatever. It all works together. I'd never have imagined this to be a green tea if someone gave it to me with no explanation.

The flavor reminds me of maple and brown sugar oatmeal with apples, except that flavor is in a gunpowder green base. It's okay, not something I would reach for often.

If you are into sugary sweet, honey rich cereal, you’ll love this blend. I find the creme brûlée sugar notes very overpowering of the rest of the flavors. And they linger for a very long time after your cup is gone.

Delicious green tea with a flavor reminiscent of creme brûlée that is perfect for fall. Even the aroma of the tea is intoxicating. A favorite. @adagioteas

Trying along with the CommuniTEA: Overwhelming maple scent wafting from the dry ingredients and packet.
Once steeped for 3 mins at 185° F, I still notice strong maple scents, but not as cloying. When I take a sip, I detect coconutty creme brulee flavor along with maple with a hint of grassy green tea and more maple flavor on the finish. For me, the sweet maple flavor and scent is overpower all the other ingredients. I would like this much better if other ingredients could shine through the heavy, overpowering maple flavors.

This was a pleasant surprise. Brewed at 176° for 3 minutes, then sweetened with cream and sugar, this is a delightful sweet treat. The burnt sugar crème brûlée comes through in a delicious way! Sad that it’s only around for autumn-I guess I’d better stock up!

Not a big fan of this tea. The flavors seem in conflict. It tastes more like butterscotch than creme brûlée, and for me it doesn’t go well with the gunpowder tea. I don’t taste cinnamon.

This tea was outstanding ! The smell and flavor of creme brulee is the star of this tea. A slight smokiness lies in the background with the cinnamon. Very enjoyable!

Lovely fall green tea blend. Tastes almost like I am eating pancake syrup on top of an apple. As it cools I can pick up the green tea. Aftertaste is sweetness.

This one is something special. The flinty, smoky character of gunpowder with creme brulee flavoring? Who would have thought THAT would work out well? But it does. Oh it does. I adore a unique blend and this one is a success. The mix creates this smoky, creamy, decadent delight with just a touch of floral on the back end. It really is enchanting. Happy Sipping!
