It s all right for using in a blend, but this isn t really a tea that would stand on its own. The vanilla isn t really present and it s a bit bitter, even for a black tea.
Bright Ceylon tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

Vanilla is a staple flavor in all my teas; I really enjoyed this tea as it is well balance and what I was expecting. Great for rainy afternoons.
This is a great flavored black tea. The vanilla is strong, but not overpowering. It’s fantastic to mix and blend with!
I bought this for my boyfriend as a replacement to a Thai tea bag thtey were obsessed with and they love it. It’s the perfect loose leaf replacement
Vanilla is my favorite flavor, so i was pretty stoked to try this. I was enormously disappointed by it, however.
When I think vanilla I think of the earthy, brown flavor of a vanilla bean pod. This is much more a dessert-y, french vanilla flavor that's pretty cloying on the aftertaste. I don't think I'd finish even the sample packet if I was drinking it straight up, but it gets bumped up to three stars for being good for combining with other teas, which is how I'll be running through it. I especially like it with chai flavors.
I hands down prefer the cream tea blend and even though it's not meant to emulate vanilla, I think it captures the vibe of real vanilla bean much better than this does.
I was a little skeptical about vanilla tea. I usually go for those overly fruity varieties, or just plain jane (there is no in-between). However, I saw this tea and my curiosity was peaked. I ordered a sample, and anxiously awaited delivery.
The first thing I noticed when opening the bag was the strong vanilla scent. I was excited to brew my first cup! The vanilla flavor is perfect. It complements the tea without being overpowering. It has become my new favorite after just one cup!
The vanilla really adds a nice touch to a simple black tea!
I m not usually a huge fan of flavored black teas, but this one is very good. The vanilla is subtle yet balanced. I definitely recommend this one if you re looking to try some new black teas!
This is another great Adagio tea that is wonderful alone or added to other teas.
This tea is just ok to me. It has the promised vanilla flavor but just didn’t impress.
I think this is a perfectly serviceable tea for blending with other teas, especially when you want to tame something a bit strong, like a chai.
I do an equal 1/3 combination of Vanilla with Earl Grey Moonlight and Cream for a FANTASTIC Earl Grey Creme tea. It is velvety smooth and starts my morning off just right.
This was a very subtle vanilla flavor, was hoping for more.
You definitely get the vanilla taste - and just smelling the tea is a delight.
The taste of vanilla from this tea is amazing. With a hint of sugar, this is like a dessert in a cup.
The vanilla taste is not the rich vanilla bean I was hoping for, but it's still good. I think it's better in blends than on its own.
I don't link it on its own, but it's great for mixing with earl grey to get a London Fog taste
A nice black tea with a light hint of vanilla. The flavor is definitely there without being overpowering. I enjoyed it.
Alright. Isn’t the most accurate-tasting but still sweet and warming.
Absolutely one of my favorites. Simple yet so tasty. My fave afternoon pick me up.
Love this vanilla too. The taste is sweet without added sugar or honey. Add steamed almond milk, and it is dessert.
It was good. The vanilla is more of a hint. The black tea used in this blend has good flavor. No bitter taste. I would have liked a stronger vanilla flavor.
A very smooth, flavorful black tea. Great vanilla scent and taste.
This is delicious and perfect to mix with other flavors to add some sweetness and creaminess.
This is one of my favorite teas! It has a wonderful smooth flavor and no bitterness.
Like vanilla extract in baking, the vanilla flavour in this tea enhanced the Ceylon black tea base but was not a distinct flavour on its own. If you are looking for a bright, yet soothing tea, this might be the one for you!
I really enjoyed this tea after trying it in the nut sampler. Delish!
Delicious and yummy. What’s not to like about vanilla tea?
This is too 'dessert-y' on its own, but pairs nicely when blended with Peach Oolong.
Very vanilla, it's almost like a cake or sugar cookie flavor. The adagio vanilla does taste a bit like a vanilla you would put into caked goods, and I think it's delicious If you like vanilla, you would like this. The tea isn't bitter, the vanilla isn't overpowering. I might get a big bag of this one!
I love anything vanilla and this was no exception. adds nice smooth flavor to the tea. I will purchase this flavor.
The vanilla black tea is delicious with some agave/sweetener and milk. It is not overwhelming with vanilla but pairs well for a sweet breakfast tea and toast! I like the simplicity of this tea.
I like to combine this flavor with other teas..good black tea
This is a lovely blend of black tea & vanilla, tastes decadent
I love sweet flavors and always make sure to have this one on hand, along with the decaf version.
I also love mixing this with the “cream tea.”
Delicious but be careful with the addition of too much sugar.
I like this one, it’s not overly vanilla flavored but just enough vanilla taste.
I had my first cup of this without anything in it, and I can see what other reviewers are saying about astringency. I put a splash of milk in my second cup, and it was wonderful. A little milk cut the bitterness perfectly and allowed me to taste the vanilla better. It smells fantastic and the caffeine is a nice boost, too. I will be adding this to my regular rotation of teas, but I will not drink it without milk.
It can add a little sweetness to a cup of tea, but it wasn t my favorite on its own.
Pretty aggressive vanilla flavor. It's delightful in a blend, or if you plan to blend it yourself. Alone, it's good, but it hardly lives up to its potential.
this is a great vanilla on its own and I also added to others. (It's great with raspberry)
I gave this 3 stars, but it needs help to get there. I had to bring the steep temperature down to 175 & add a little extra sugar. Second steep loses a lot of flavor. I think there are better vanilla teas out there.
I mix this with some other flavor tea (orange, blueberry, chocolate chip) and it makes that tea have just the little extra touch.
Perfect blend of vanilla and black tea. Nice kick of caffeine too!
This is such a lovely vanilla! It smells and tastes wonderful. It's really nice black with sugar or honey, with milk, or even as an iced tea!
This is my favorite especially with a little heavy cream added for a richer flavor experience.
It was enjoyable, need to try more and will update review.
Love!! Perfect alone or blended. Just the right amount of vanilla, both for aroma and flavor
When the weather turns cold, I enjoy cream in my tea. I'm trying to be health conscious, though. SO, I thought this tea might fulfill my cravings by being all the creamy goodness I want, without adding in the fat that my doctor wants me to avoid. I found it to be a pretty successful substitute, all in all. It drank nicely alone, and also when mixed with the raspberry green tea sample I bought.
This is probably my favorite hot tea. I was introduced to Adagio mid-Summer and have now purchased several teas - all are just splendid. I like the smooth vanilla undertones this tea has.
