The vanilla scent is pretty strong, but once you taste it it's not not that strong. Even adding in cream doesn't really enhance the flavor of the vanilla. All in all an good tea to have for variety.
Bright Ceylon tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

Delightful tea. Just a bit sweet. Nice morning treat.
Brewing this one by itself I am left with a slightly chemical-ish aftertaste. Blending it with other flavors I lose the very subtle vanilla flavor.
Would love even a tad more of the vanilla flavour, but we love this, both hot, then later on cold! We're enjoying our second huge bag!
I've never been a big fan of vanilla flavored anything so i was reluctant to try this tea. I actually love it and add it to many of my blends.
A great tea for a calm cup by itself or for mixing in with other teas (I like to mix with fruit teas for a smoother flavor).
It is good not great. It has a mild flavor and I happen to prefer something a little stronger.
The vanilla flavor is pretty weak, but it's still a nice tea in the morning. It's really good for blending, but it's not very fun to drink straight. Not as good as vanilla green.
I have never been disappointed with any Adagio tea. This is another hit. Add a touch of sugar if you like.
This tea is so smooth. No heavy fake flavors. It is great mixed with coconut. Extra smooth.
Subtle vanilla flavor with rich black tea. Wonderful on cool mornings.
This smelled fantastic but didn't taste nearly as good as it smelled. I think I don't like the briskness of the Ceylon tea that the flavoring was blended with. Perhaps if the vanilla were added to a tea that was more mellow it would work better for me.
Loved this by itself and in the strawberry. Very good.
Just an all around great, simple, full flavored black tea. Drinking it alone is great with a touch of infused flavor honeys or liquid sugar. Feel free to add almost ANYTHING to mix it it's--other flavored loose teas, infused sugars, flavored honeys or a vanilla bean/cinnamon stick. Add fresh fruit when made as an iced tea!
Great tea, I'm just not a big vanilla fan. Love the tea samples so I can find out what I do and do not like.
I'm trying to find some flavored black teas to enjoy, however this one didn't fit the bill. I wanted a stronger vanilla flavor to match the scent.
A lovely tea, it works well for me light and sweet as a nice treat with some cookies to dunk in it. I have to be careful not to oversteep it though, or it goes a bit acrid.
Sweet, vanilla, dessert like. What more can I say? It's a great flavor without that artificial vanilla flavor, it's very tasty and natural.
This tea smells as wonderful as it tastes!! I love this tea both hot and as iced tea!
Delicious flavor and aroma.Full body and smooth. Love it.
I love this tea! Great flavored black tea. If you like vanilla, try this one. Will definitely buy again.
A very nice flavored tea. I don't drink it on its own very often, and usually mix it (50/50) with Adagio's hazelnut flavored tea.
The vanilla was stronger then I was expecting, and I found myself accidently over-steeping it. Once, I added milk and sugar to it, I couldn't get enough of it!
I bought the vanilla to mix with the almond tea to give it a little twist. It works well with the almond, however, it's a little weak for me if I drink it on its own.
The vanilla has a bit of a french-vanilla taste. Just a hint of custard or ice cream. If you drink it cold, you'll definitely notice an ice-creamy flavor.
It's not at all an overwhelming vanilla flavor. It's just right, but only just lingering at the back of your throat in every sip. Like adding a splash of vanilla bourbon to your tea.
Love vanilla period. Flavor comes through without overpowering.
I felt like the smell of the leave was stronger than the taste, once brewed. Would probably be a good support when mixed with other flavors.
This is the perfect tea to curl up with a good book on a dreary day. Comfort in a cup.
Perfect cup of vanilla tea. It's just the right amount.
I have too much black and not enough vanilla. I was hoping to taste the light sugar cookie vanilla everyone else was saying they experienced in their reviews. It just wasn't my cup of tea, but I will continue to brew it as I haven't had oolong in oolong time.
Best loose leaf vanilla black tea I've tried. Good for mixing with other flavored black teas.
It was ok, I don't think I like the black teas as much as the whites.
nice gentle flavor and sweetness. Good with a little milk and sugar.
Of Adagio's flavors, Vanilla and Cream are probably my two favorites I have tried so far. The vanilla is delectable and makes for a tasty semi-sweet treat for any time of day... although maybe not bedtime.
This tea tastes good, and has quite a bit of vanilla flavor, but it also reminds a lot of Adagio's cream tea. I guess I was hoping for a bigger difference between the two, but I suppose it makes sense that they would taste really similar. This tea is good for blending.
Best to enjoy warm with some honey. You can also mix with other teas
If you see my review for almond, you will see how I mix this with the almond and prepare it.
It has a nice mix of vanilla and black tea flavor. The taste is very balanced and not overpowering.
Love this tea. have it frequently
Great for mixing. Sweet and strong black tea but the vanilla scent isn't overpowering
When I opened the bag the tea itself smelled faintly of vanilla, but once steeped it that flavor and smell almost completely disappeared for me. It still brewed a nice relaxing cup of black tea, and there was nothing wrong with that - smooth, dark, and not at all bitter. But when you're expecting vanilla, it is a little disappointing to end up drinking pretty plain tea.
I like this tea, which has a wonderful, smooth taste! I enjoy it with little milk and brown sugar. I do, however, wish the vanilla flavor was stronger.
This tea is my favorite morning breakfast. It is a great tea to experiment with.
Very mild, but good creamy taste. Great to mix with your Strawberry blend.
I like it a lot, the taste is quite distinct, but at the same time not too strong. Goes great with dessert, especially when unsweetened. I also tried making it into ice tea and surprisingly it worked pretty well too! It shouldn't be brewed for too long though, because it can become bitter.
It was a nice blend not too heavy and good when paired with a pastry.
This was a great tea I used this tea for a party and everyone loved it. granted I made sweet tea with it but people loved it nonetheless It's great both hot and cold. Personally it's perfect for kombucha.
Not as great as I thought it would be, it tastes pretty bitter no matter what time I brewed it at. Not a big deal though, I'll just experiment with it and blend the rest with other teas.
Nice and creamy. I like to mix mine with some earl grey.
Vanilla smells great in the envelope, but after steeping I found it a little bitter. Still, I love the vanilla flavor.
Vanilla is my favorite flavor and I have never found a vanilla tea that I have enjoyed this much. This tea is very smooth with a pleasant aroma, and an even vanilla taste. It stands well on its own. There is no bitterness or aftertaste like I have found with other vanilla teas. I will certainly be ordering more when I run out!
