I was a bit skeptical about ordering this tea because I'm not a huge fan of floral teas, but the rose petals bring out the strawberry and chocolate flavors more. With milk and sugar it's quite good!
Deliciously combines the luxurious flavor of fresh-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries with the taste of premium Ceylon black tea.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering this tea because I'm not a huge fan of floral teas, but the rose petals bring out the strawberry and chocolate flavors more. With milk and sugar it's quite good!
I was really excited for this tea, the first time I tried it. My hopes were dashed, though, when I took my first sip. It tasted a little watery, and a little flat. 'well, I just didn't make it right!' I thought, so I set the bag aside to make more later. When I did, recently, it seems as though I brewed it correctly, but the strawberry flavors were very disappointing. It tasted like cheap strawberry flavoring. The chocolate notes were very intriguing, and I'd be interested in trying a tea that showed them off more, but the strawberry flavor made this a no-go.
Tried the sample of this before ordering. I love it! Was a little aprehensive at first but ended up really enjoying this tea. I will be ordering the full size!
Delicious--- but a bit too much like cocoa? Perhaps I like my tea to taste like tea. Regardless, it is very tasty. I wish I could sense a bit more of the rose, though.
This tea tastes as good as it smells! Unlike the Republic of Tea Chocolate Covered Strawberry, this one tastes like the sweet as opposed to just having a hint of the taste, yet without being overpowering. Goes great with some sugar to bring out the flavor even more.
This is for people who don't mind that a tea sometimes doesn't taste like a tea. I loved it--but I also like chocolate covered cherries, and you know that those cherries don't taste like real cherries... I loved this but if you are looking for a real tea taste in there, you probably won't detect one!
I wasn't sure how I felt about this tea at first--but once I figured out the right amount of steeping time, I really like it. It's not an everyday tea, but is great for indulging a craving for chocolate strawberries...!
This smells amazingly like chocolate-covered strawberries! SO delicious!!
It doesn't taste quite like it, but it had the scent and definitely the after-taste of dark chocolate. Very relaxing, very romantic and I really enjoyed it with a lovely dose of sugar! :)
The smell is super strong, so much so that it kinda put me off. It tastes rich, but not so much like chocolate and strawberries. So far I've only really liked it once I've blended it.
This is definitely a desert tea. I added 1 packet of sweetener and it was perfect and tastes exactly like a chocolate covered strawberry. I usually add milk to my tea but found that it wasn't necessary with this.
Love love LOVE this tea! I'm super finicky about flavored teas and am quick to balk when it's not done just right. This is a beautiful blend of flavors and is strong without being overpowering. Makes sinfully amazing sweet iced tea.
When I read the description I wasn't too sold on the idea, but honestly the premise just seemed really strange to me, so I picked up a sample size for giggles. Earlier today I tried brewing a bit at work. And that smell. And that taste? I WANT TO TAKE A BATH IN THIS TEA
The flavor's really kind of interesting. Combined with the smell I got less of a fruity flavor (which I was expecting) and something a bit more coffee like which is, um, yes please!
Oh my goodness just opening the package smelled like walking into a gourmet candy and chocolate shop! Great tea, I can't wait for colder weather and an excuse to order more.
I love this tea. It has a great taste and mouth-feel, and did not need to have much added to it. The tea bags leave a little to be desired, I had to steep for quite a while to get a good, strong flavor from it. But it was well worth both the money and the wait
Probably the very first chocolate tea that didn't taste like an awful, overly watered-down cup of cocoa. I tasted tea, chocolate, and a hint of the strawberry. Not too weak of a flavor, but not strong. Definitely ordering again, seeing as how it really surpassed my expectations. (I really only ordered it because a lot of the reviews were so positive and said that it actually didn't taste like watery hot chocolate.)
It doesn't taste exactly like chocolate covered strawberries, but it still reminds me of the flavor. It tastes almost sweet and is a great way to finish off a meal or drink with desert.
This tea doesn't taste as strongly of chocolate and strawberry as it smells. If I could carry around a sachet of this in my purse just to smell on occasion, I would.
It does taste really pleasant though. Not overwhelming, but there is no doubt that flavor you're drinking. As it turns out that black tea isn't my favorite, I preferred to cut the strength a bit with a little bit of sugar. It was perfect that way, and makes an excellent treat.
When I first opened the bag, I definitely smelled chocolate-covered strawberry and that was very awesome. Once I steeped it, I could still smell and taste the strawberry, as well as a slight floral taste from the rose petals but not overpowering. I didn't really taste the chocolate, but I still enjoyed the blend thoroughly.
The chocolate gives it a very strong mocha taste that can be overpowering if steeped too long but it's still very good!
Upon opening the bag it smelled lovely. It smells just like chocolate strawberries as does the taste. It taste good with short bread cookies...well it is a dessert tea
Out of all the teas I've tried from Adagio itself, this one is by far my favorite. It's especially good when blended with their cream tea and topped off with a splash of milk. I agree with other reviewers that there is a slightly artificial aftertaste, but it's minor.
Deep chocolate strawberry scent, taste lingers well. Slightly sweet strawberry flavor at start with a hint of dark chocolate bitterness to finish. Heavy feel overall for a more relaxed black tea, rather than an energizing morning black. The Scent is better than the flavor, but the flavor is still quite nice. You can taste the black tea but it is not a strong overall tea flavor. Somewhat coffee like taste.
Cold: Loses bitterness completely with the same overall flavor, but a tad weaker.
I'm so glad this isn't a holiday specific tea because I love this flavour all year round! It's not too strawberry-sweet, or the kind of chocolate that needs milk and sugar to taste good, but it has the distinct flavour.
This tea does actually taste like chocolate-covered strawberries. A little sugar definitely helps bring out the strawberry taste. The only thing I would like out of this tea is slightly more chocolate flavor, but I think that's more of a personal preference than anything lacking in the tea. This makes for a fantastic iced tea.
I feel like the chocolate scent takes your breath away before you can even taste it. I think this would be better perhaps mixed with milk. Good as an occasional tea, but definitely not an every day tea for me.
yummy! Very good with a little cream and sugar. Real smooth black tea. Nice afternoon treat. Have recently started blending it with Irish breakfast for a flavor twist in the morning.
seems like it could be a lot better if it tasted a bit more 'real'...richer chocolate and a bit of tart from the strawberries would have made this much better in my opinion
I can have my chocolate fix and not worry about alot of calories
I really like this tea, although it's a bit strong, especially with sugar. I wouldn't recommend it iced, though, since it loses a lot of flavor.
Careful--it's easy to oversteep this one. The tea itself smells like opening up a box of chocolates, which paired with the strawberry and rose makes it perfect for V-day. Unfortunately, I think it's a bit strong for me, and a touch artificial. Not something I'd want to drink regularly.
I really enjoyed this tea without adding anything to it. It was very yummy as a treat at the end of the day
Normally, I'm wary of chocolate in my tea, but the strawberry in this balances the rich with fruity quite nicely. It smells quite a bit like the filling of a truffle (a *good* truffle - I'm very picky about my chocolate), and honestly needs neither cream nor sugar - but if added, it becomes rather like Black Forest cake in a cup.
The strawberry and the chocolate flavor definitely come to light, though the rose is more so just an aromatic. Great with a bit of sugar and cream.
I loved this! Like most chocolate teas I've tried, the smell's stronger than the taste, but that doesn't matter. I thought the strawberry flavor was nice. I drank it plain. I'll try it with sugar and/or milk next time.
I really wanted to like this, but the strawberry smelled and tasted a bit artificial. Not bad, but not to my taste.
Delicious tea that stands in well for dessert with milk and sugar.
I absolutely hate to give anything on Adagio a bad review, but this is one of the worse teas I've tried... Upon opening the bag, the smell alone put me off trying it for several days. It's overly syrupy and a even stings a bit. I had hoped that the scent would mellow out a bit when brewed, but no such luck. The scent is just as strong as ever, and the chocolate part of the tea gets bitter very quickly even when you follow the recommended brew time and temperature. The taste is, as advertised, chocolate and strawberries, and on its own would be very enticing, but the smell takes away my enjoyment of the flavour. This tea does taste better with cream and sugar. Perhaps it would also be better iced. All in all, it does make a very pretty tea and if you can get past the smell then it's certainly worth the buy. It was just a bit much for me personally.
This tea was absolutely amazing! So far the black teas I've had were okay, with weak flavors that required a lot of sugar for me to taste them, but this one was different. Even without the sugar I could still taste the flavors (but I added some anyway because I have a sweet tooth). The smell out of the bag was decadent. Overall this tea was the perfect combination of chocolate and strawberry.
Great on its own or combining with other teas. I love the smell and the taste. I usually had a little bit of sweetener and milk to make it fuller.
It smelled a little too strong in the bag, but the taste was much better. Milk keeps the bitterness at bay, and the flavor improves as it cools. I could definitely make this a regular addition to my collection, and I will reorder in the future.
This really does taste like chocolate covered strawberries. It's even good iced!
*swoon* Sweet and fresh like the real thing! How can this not be sinfully bad for you?
I can have multiple cups in a day. Amazing flavor. It's the perfect mix of chocolate and strawberry. I recommend this to everyone I know. I also keep this in stock.
I purchased this flavor simply because of the description. It was pretty much as described.
The flavors weren't too noticeable for me. I tasted the fruitiness of strwberry but not much chocolate flavor.
Guh, talk about a dessert tea. I think this almost has to have some sweetener (I use stevia) and just a dab of milk to really shine. Tastes like chocolate covered strawberries. I tried a friend's and just had to order a bag of my own. Yum!
i was very skeptical about this tea, having never had any kind of chocolate tea before, but i'm happy to say i was very wrong. It's sweet, flavorful, and overall really nice. I didn't even have to use sugar, and I usually use 4-5 tsps in my tea!
This tea smelled incredibly chocolately, but the taste was a little weak. Adding just a touch of sugar and cream brought out the sweetness more. Overall, I still preferred the aroma to the actual taste.
I really was skeptical that it would taste like chocolate covered strawberries but it's very, very close (it smells just like them). The rose petals are a wonderful touch.
Would rather get this than a box of chocolate any day.
I love this tea. It tastes EXACTLY as described. The perfect combination of chocolate and strawberries. The perfect pick me up anytime of the day! This tea is also wonderful when brewed with a bit of the cream flavored tea mixed in. It makes it very smooth. I have an exceptional aversion to teas that taste artificial. This tea has none of that. Perfect tea to try!!
