This packet smells like creamy chocolate when you open the tea packet. But something I found with chocolate teas, is that the chocolate smell is extremely strong with the un-brewed tea leaves yet after steeping there is only a muted chocolate taste if anything. This tea after brewing follows that and I only taste a creamy sweetness and no chocolate. (200F, 3min)

Black teas are quickly becoming my favorite. This isn’t the best one I’ve had, but it’s still nice. The Chocolate was definitely the most forward tasting to me. I didn’t fully taste the caramel if I’m honest, but I tend to focus on the strongest flavors

To avoid bitterness, I steeped at 195 F for 2 1/2 minutes. Behind the black tea the prominent flavor was caramel with a hint of vanilla. I didn't pick up on too much chocolate in my cup. Sip, sip away!

I have been waiting for tiger eye to come to the CommunTea. Nice caramel and light chocolate mix. Definitely a great base for other tea blends. Nice dessert treat.

I enjoyed it, but know that I’m missing out on the full experience of this tea. While I can taste that this tea is more than black tea, I am disappointed in my inability to really taste the chocolate. I’m missing out on so much. And I love chocolate.

If you like black tea buy this. If you hate black tea skip it. My packet was plain tasting and lacking in coco and carmel.

I've tried making this three times now and I always seem to oversteep it somehow. It's not bad, just a bit harsher than I'd like. In theory I like all the ingredients, so I'm thinking operator error. I'll keep trying. Or maybe take it down to 195 degrees. 9.5 grams brewed in 32 ounces of 200 degree water for three minutes.

This was recently given to us as a sample from a client, Boy do we love our clients and this tea! I have been an avid coffee drinker since I was a child, literally, this tea has been a total game changer as a coffee lover... I may have switched over to the dark side.

Oh my yum! Perfect balance of caramel and chocolate with dark undertones rather than cloying sweetness. The depth of flavor is amazing. I added nothing to this tea. I only ordered a sample size 😒 but will definitely add a larger bag to my next tea order. I steeped it a second time for 10 minutes and it still was very flavorful.

New favorite! I can't say I get very strong chocolate/caramel notes, but it's a very smooth and creamy dessert tea. It's very cosy and comforting. It's also pretty great mixed with a chai for a bit of a spice kick.

Yum! I had enjoyed Tiger Eye in the DGS fandom blend of Ryunosuke and eagerly ordered the source! It’s sweet, with swirls of caramel and chocolate intertwining. Dark, moist on the intake and just a tad dry on the finish. Perfect for sating your sweet tooth on early mornings when you need some caffeine. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the special Birthday blend offered once a year on special occasions, and the earthy cocoa notes remind me a bit of Adagio’s Irish Stout, which is phenomenal. If you love sweeter flavors, then don’t hesitate on this one. Serve with a chocolate or caramel stroopwafel for the best result!

I'm sure this is much enjoyable with sugar, but I'm drinking this without today and may try it with ice during my lunch break. Anyways, it's a tasty treat when you can't decide between chocolate and caramel. I had no problems with the tea overbrewed. I still enjoy it.

This is one of my absolute favorite teas from Adagio. I'm currently packing to move and when I realized that I hadn't refilled my tin of Tiger Eye before packing the bag of loose leaf, I turned around and ordered more of it.

The taste is rich and well rounded. I usually pour about a tablespoon of vanilla syrup in the bottom of my VERY large tea much, I add a scant quarter cup of milk, then fill to the top with just off the boil water. Drop in my tea bag and put on my silicone cup lid. I then let it steep for at least 10 minutes (it takes longer when milk is present). I rarely end up with bitter tea, I get rich chocolate and tea notes and a smooth texture to the whole thing. It's wonderful and I cannot imagine not having it.

Lovely flavors of chocolate and caramel soften the pleasant, mild astringency of the Ceylon black tea base. So far, this is my favor chocolate-themed black tea in the Adagio pantry. Well worth a sample pouch to see if you feel the same way.

This is a fine tea. The chocolate can taste a bit fake, but I like this one mixed with a bit of Irish Breakfast and/or cream.

What a great cup of tea ! The chocolate and carmel blend so well with the black tea. Vanilla adds creaminess. I see why this tea is in so many blends.

This tea is excellent as a substitute for dessert. When hot, it has a rich, sweet, cocoa/ caramel aroma and taste that is enhanced by a touch of your favorite creamer. As it cools, the flavor mellows into a milder, sweeter flavor that is refreshing on its own. Perfect for an afternoon tea or dessert tea.

I really expected to love this one but its quite overwhelmingly chocolate-ty
It’s just too sweet, which honestly can be a plus for some. I prefer it to be more subtle and have been going through what I have left by adding it to other teas.

Full disclosure: I am a chocoholic. Having tried all the chocolate flavored teas, I have to say this one is my favorite. Whereas chocolate, chocolate chip, and chocolate truffle taste more like decadent dark chocolate, this tastes more like a creamy milk chocolate bar. The caramel and vanilla round the chocolate notes, making it a smoother and sweeter blend. It's great on its own, it's great as a latte, it's great in blends. It's just great! Definitely a new pantry staple for me!

Im new to artsy teas, so forgive my ignorance.

My sole criticism would be that the tea wasn't quite as strong as I was hoping. I'm a novice and am used to drinking unnaturally strong coffee, so I'll chalk it up to lack of skills/knowledge, or perhaps its just my blunted taste buds.

I could smell the caramel, cocoa, and vanilla as soon as I tore the little sample bag open. I drank my first cup black. It was quite good. All the little flavors are very subtle, but if you pay attention, you can taste them. Honestly it doesn't even need to be sweetened, though it is very good with rock sugar and Irish cream.

I'll probably buy a whole pound of this stuff in order to brew blasphemous, monstrously strong cups. Even though it was weaker then I wished, I still quite like it. There is potential here. If you like cocoa, caramel, and vanilla (don't lie, you know you do); then you will probably like this tea.
