I haven't had thai tea more than a couple times before, so it's difficult for me to say how authentic the flavor was. I can only promise it's delicious!

I couldn’t taste anything but coconut, so having an affinity for coconut is probably a prerequisite for enjoying this tea.
Ols Review: March 5th, 2018: I tried this tea hot and cold and they both taste delicious. I prefer this blend iced with milk and sweetener. I also add honeybush chocolate with the Thai tea to make a mounds candy, a fantastic iced tea latte. New review: Same as the Old Review: Still Delicious!
Oct 10, 2017: Old ReviewI: really enjoyed the flavor of the Thai tea blend.
New Review: I'm in love with this tea as an Iced Tea Latte. I love the coconut black tea and the honeybush vanilla flavors. The coconut gives a very strong delicious tropical fruity flavor. The vanilla has a tasty deep smooth silky, creamy taste. Awesome flavors and taste, make an excellent choice for the summer.
UPDATED from 11/8/20: There is a distinct coconut (as well as warm spice) aroma wafting from the CommuniTEA packet when open. There are leaves, apple pieces, coconut, and those healthy little red safflower petals peeking out at me. It is steeped at a lower temp than recommended into a clear red amber. The aroma is coconut. The taste is a delightful mixture of cardamom and coconut with vanilla. There is a bright astringency that lingers into the finish. So very pleasant. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (for 10oz) brings out the sweet coconut more. Adding heavy whipping cream blends well with the vanilla and the tea becomes very creamy, as the coconut slips into the background and joins in the finish. Adding sweetener and cream makes this a lovely, tropical drink, that drunk over ice brings memories of beaches. (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener and cream).
I like to make this as an iced tea latte with lots of sugar and coconut based non dairy milk. So. Flipping. Good.
Update: received for today’s communitea and tried with sweetened condensed milk for the first time. Even better than sugar and coconut milk, IMO.
Delicious blend that really does taste like a Thai tea!!
Surprisingly, this was a quite enjoyable cup for me. Usually I find coconut flavor overpowering and unappealing, but the addition of the cardamom and vanilla gave the tea a taste and a smoothness that I really enjoyed. Nicely blended.
Such a nice blend with the coconut and cream with the spiciness of the cardamom and safflower. I missed the apple flavor but that might just have been my packet.
I really adore this blend. I love getting Thai tea at restaurants but I discovered that if you try to buy Thai tea leaves and mixes to make at home, almost all of them are loaded with artificial flavors and orange coloring. I was so excited to find that this Adagio blend doesn't contain anything artificial!
It is so delicious and brews into such a beautiful color without food dye (likely due to the addition of honey bush leaves). I tried it both hot and cold and really enjoyed both.
This is so good with a little sugar and milk! A perfect pick me up for your afternoon.
Love this!!! Tastes sweet without sugar and is one of my favorite teas.
It was good. It wasn’t what I was looking for and had more coconut than I anticipated but it was still good.
I’ve never had Thai tea in a restaurant and I never add dairy or sweetener to my tea so I don’t know how helpful my review is, but I did enjoy this tea plain! Vanilla and coconut flavors are prominent, but there is definitely the presence of several spices too. It’s a lovely milder alternative to a chai tea.
Lovely sweet flavors. Delicate and delicious. Would be great iced.
On it's own with no additions this is a mild black tea, lightly spices with hints of cardamom, safflower and coconut.
Adding the traditional drizzle of sweetened condensed milk brings out the sweetness of the coconut and vanilla and makes for a delicious treat both hot and iced.
A pleasant, perfectly agreeable Thai tea sure to be savored without complaint. It's a well-mannered blend, not bitter with accidental over-steeping. Smooth and exotic, it's neither spicy nor sweet, just creamy with hints of natural, nutty-vanilla. A lovely choice for morning or afternoon, when you want a high caffeine tea without the bitter essence of assam or perfumey notes of earl grey.
very mild warm spice with fruity notes. coconut is not overpowering
Love this tea, so mellow but flavorful. My husband likes a drop of half and half milk in it. I think it is good on its own.
This is one of my new favorite teas! I love the hint of coconut and thai flavors and highly recommend you try it.
I like it well enough as it's own drink but it doesn't fully taste like Thai tea. The fruitiness is a little surprising. 4 stars because it's very nice but is not a substitute for real Thai Tea.
Coconut forward, so not like the thai tea you get at a good thai restuarant, but pretty great all the same!
A nice smooth black tea. I was hoping for a bit more coconut.
BOLD! Arguably the most full-bodied bold flavor on the website. And it's able to do this without coming off tasting like tobacco. I love it!
I enjoy brewing Thai tea a little longer so I can add milk and the drink will not be watered down. Thai tea blend is a smooth, flavorful blend. I prefer it cold but it is also tastey hot.
This is definitely one of the most interesting teas I've ever had. For some reason, my bag of Thai Tea was devoid of cardamom, so I added a dash of my own and also added some manuka honey as I had a hunch this would be a spicy tea. I was sort of right. The cardamom is a little spicy, of course, but the safflower was like a foamy ocean wave with a bite at the end. The notes of coconut were very subtle. This is honestly not a bad tea, but the flavor combination is not something I would ever think of. I think I would recommend this tea.
An absolutely delightful tea! I love it with sugar and a splash of milk
an interesting blend that draws on similar flavors to a Thai tea but with less dye!
Very different than the typical Thai tea with boba I've had but still soooo delicious.
Pretty good! It has a heavier 'black tea' flavor in comparison to the thai chai
I really like this flavor. Light coconut flavor with hints of other Thai flavors. Very different and satisfying!
You are first hit with an amazing aroma when opening the bag and the tea that follows is just as lovely! A great tea for those that don't realize they like tea yet
My absolute favorite! The flavor is incredible and it hits the spot!
Delicious tea, however 1 tsp at 3 minutes it was not nearly strong enough. I will continue to experiment amount of tea and how long I let it steep. A delicious tea definitely worth trying, you may just need to adjust your ratios. Besides this, I would give it 5 stars
So, so good. This tea is delicious. I love the coconut flavor
The package recommends steeping for 3 min, but I find that the flavor profile has a little more depth with a little extra time. Coconut and cardamom are the prevalent flavors, with hints of some and vanilla and apple. Traditionally Thai tea is served with condensed milk, but that's too sweet for me. I combine mine with a bit of cream and the result is magic.
I wanted to simulate the thai tea lattes i've had at thai restaurants. I used milk and sugar instead of sweetened condensed milk, but still pretty darn good!
I ordered a sample, wanting a tea with a hit of coconut. I like coconut, but I feel like that's the only flavor going on here. I tried it hot and cold-brewed, cold is better but it mostly just tastes of coconut. I'm hopeful the Thai Chai will be a bit more interesting.
This tea is very good and really reminds me of the Thai iced tea you can get at Thai restaurants. I did try it hot the first time and the sweetness of the coconut really came through. You almost don't need sugar, although I did drink it with a tsp of sugar and some silk almond creamer and it was fantastic. I will try it iced also like the traditional Thai iced tea is served. You really can't go wrong with this flavor.
Very strong flavor great for mixing with cream. Love for a dessert kind of drink.
This tea sounds and smells excellent but the taste doesn t quite follow through. Even brewed at a slightly lower temp, it still comes through as a bit astringent and it really lacks the sweetness that I would expect a Thai tea. There is coconut and spices, but it doesn t carry through to the taste. @adagioteas
My favourite black tea! I adore this blend, the subtle spices and coconut flavours are really nice, and i feel like this tea wakes me up in the morning lol @adagioteas
This tea has a wonderful full flavor. The coconut flavor has the right touch.
The coconut gets stronger the more it sits so don’t brew this one too long...unless you add lots of sugar and cream and make a latte!
One of my absolute favorites. The perfect amount of bittersweet for me.
I bought this and the Coconut Grove Pouchong at the same time. Because I tried that first, this came in second place. But I was looking for a strong coconut tea. Don’t get me wrong. It’s very good. The apple and cardamom are subtle background flavors. The coconut and vanilla are more pronounced to me but if I could only have one adagio tea with coconut, it would be the Coconut Grove Pouchong.
I would have preferred a little heavier vanilla flavor like some other Thai teas that I’ve had, but overall very good.
Really good Thai tea, I enjoyed it with an almond/coconut milk blend. I don't enjoy things overly sweet, so I didn't add sugar.
This is an interesting take on Thai tea and I enjoyed it. Not my every day tea, but it's nice to have when I want something different.
