Really smells like roses. Tastes like roses, too- can't decide if that's a good thing or not.
Our Summer Rose tea invokes the sweet lingering fragrance of late summer roses winding up a garden trellis. Mellow and deliciously floral, this rose tea is balanced with the bright briskness of a Ceylon black tea.

Really smells like roses. Tastes like roses, too- can't decide if that's a good thing or not.
Very nice, and not overwhelmingly floral. Good for dreary days that make even fall and winter lovers miss the sunnier times of year.
The first thing I want to say about this tea is how it doesn't look exactly like the photo. Rose petals naturally fade when they dry, so they're not the bright magenta you see here. They're faintly pink, but mostly a sort of cream color. That said, there is a very generous amount of them in my sample. Lovely!
The smell of the dry leaf is very floral, but not exclusively rose. I'm getting hints of lemon, pepper, and magnolia. Mmm, magnolia! The smell poignantly reminds me of the beginning of summer here in the deep south. I wonder if there are magnolia teas out there... that's something to research for sure.
The brewed tea also smells of rose and magnolia. So summery, so nostalgic. Upon the first sip I notice that it's not an overwhelmingly floral tea. It certainly doesn't beat you over the head with the rose. The black tea base is mild and without bitterness or astringency. Much like a yunnan tip or something. Very smooth. Though that might have something to do with the preparation. On the package, it said to brew for three minutes, so I did. Anyway, it's very gentle and I look forward to finishing the sample.
This tea has a very nice fragrance, and its flavor definitely is good for a change. it isn't very suitable as an everyday tea due to its strong rose flavor, but it is a nice option every once in a while
This is a good rose flavored tea. It doesn't taste artificial at all, but it is a little one-note for me. I like this tea blended with berry blast to make the flavor a little more complex.
I have not tried this one yet, but I will soon. I think it will be good.
This has a pleasant taste to it. A good economical tea.
The rose it was very faint at first but the after taste was very loud and sudden almost as if it were saying 'HEY! I'm Rose, don't forget about me.'
Smells like roses and tastes like a delicious black tea blend. The petals themselves you cannot really taste, but the scent is lovely.
This tea smells fantastic. The rose goes very nicely with the Ceylon tea. It was only slightly bitter, and as you would expect had a pleasant rose aroma. Very nice for afternoon tea. I also tried blending it with the 'cream' tea from Adagio. It turned out great with a little milk and sugar.
I guess I wasn't such of a person who likes flower flavor in the tea. It was OK in the beginning but I started not enjoying the fragrance... Maybe it takes time to get used to this taste. (I only started drinking teas recently, about a month ago)
Well, it certainly did taste like roses... the only problem was that it tasted like actually eating a rose. A little too strong, even when used to accent another tea.
I usually get rose water at the Mid-Eastern markets and add about 10 drops to my Earl Grey tea. But with this tea, I don't have to and the rose flavor is just right. I will probably have this every morning at work.
A nice floral black tea. The taste is pretty straightforward. Good with some vanilla creamer.
This is a light, fragrant tea. Very soothing and calming.
At first try when opening the pouch the smell of Roses is like standing in a rose garden. I tried 1 teaspoon, I had a hard time tasting the rose flavor till the tea was cold, then there was a mild rose flavor.
The second time I tried the Rose tea I used a heaping teasoon it had much more flavor.Hot or cold. I could taste the rose flavor. Im glad I made the ajustment this one might become a regular buy for me.In my top ten thats for sure.
I tried Summer Rose tea on a whim, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites from Adagio. Mixed with dried rose petals, this tea has a sort of old-fashioned appeal and a musky red wine flavor and aroma. I've found that it can even be steeped twice, a bonus for black tea, 2 minutes for the first steeping and 3 for the second.
If I had to use one word to describe this tea it would be Delightful. It's just a lovely tea all around. The aroma is exactly like burying your face in a full rose blossom, it's intense but you need that or you probably wouldn't have a very nice tea. Once steeped it smells more like a regular black tea with a slight floral aroma. I prefer this tea black and sweetened, but I have a fondness for sweets. This would be a nice lunchtime tea with some sandwiches.
[update] Thought I'd add that my friend, who absolutely hates the smell of roses and thinks most teas have very little, to no flavor, loves this tea when I make it for her. Not sure how that works but it's nice to make a tea drinker out of her! :>
Well, I ordered this in the middle of Fall, so it felt kinda wrong drinking such a summery tea when it is cold and dreary out. It was good, but I am going to save the rest until it is more weather appropriate!
Probably one of the best teas I have ever tasted! Light, yet full bodied, it is wonderful with breakfast foods.
This tea was great! Very flavored and lives up to it's name. Smells great and tastes better. Rose is my favorite kind of tea
This is my go to tea when I can't decided what I want because this one always satisfies.
Oh. My. Goodness. I normally don't like black teas with a lot of flavor added, but this tea is soft (not astringent at all) with just the right amount of floral scent and flavor. It seriously smells like a fairy garden (and is especially good with milk or condensed milk).
This was a very good tea. And it tastes exactly how it smells, like a rose. Which makes sense, since it's Summer Rose tea.
This tea not only smells like fresh roses, but it tastes delicious. It's not perfumy like some other rose teas I've had by other companies, which normally give me a headache. This is my go to tea when I need to perk up at work. I'm definitely reordering this one.
I adore this tea! I adore how it give my entire office a fragrant, floral smell and I find that the rose pairs so nicely with the black tea. This as become my new afternoon pick-me-up.
This is my daughter's favorite. I send it to her as a gift on her birthday and other special occasions.
One of my favorite teas on this site, and the one I reach for most often that isn't one of my own blends. The rose smells wonderful, and the taste with black tea is nothing short of incredible. I particularly like blending this with the lavender earl gray.
Roses are red and this tea is bold. I love the floral notes and the scent is Devine. I ended up adding a little cream to lighten the strong tea. Overall a lovely tea for sharing. I imagine a tea party when brewing this delightful brew. Too bad I'm not good at sharing.
I really enjoy this tea- I'm drinking some right now. The floral aspect is just right, aromatic and light. Iced or hot, plain or with honey... always delicious.
Even in a tea tin, the rose smell fads from fresh to the smell of roses past their prime. The flavor is very bland.
a very nice soft tea. perfect for me when i want to wind down at night
I over-steeped my first cup and it was bitter, but overall this tea had a good flavor and made my room smell lovely.
I LOVE this tea! I love rose as a flavor and scent in general, and so I was very excited when I saw this tea. I had great expectations for it, and it did not disappoint. When in the bag, it smells very rosy. While steeping, it smells almost as strong, but the flavor in the end isn't as strong as the smell. I'd say it has the perfect amount of rose flavor to it. My new favorite tea!
delightfully fragrant tea, you'll want to drink this out of you finest china
I got this tea to try because it was unusual for me and new to adagio. It's not a favorite on its own, but has potential to be a nice element in blends. The summer rose smells pleasant in the bag, and melds nicely with a gentle black tea base. However, the rose flavoring does taste a bit soapy, and would probably benefit from lots of milk, sugar, or vanilla tea. Pretty, girly, and unlike other flavors on adagio, I'm glad to have in the arsenal for future blends.
My favorite tea, a solid black tea with rose flavor.
This rose tea is the best one I've personally have come across! I love the smell reminding me of Alice and Wonderland! The taste is strong and really soothing. The smell is just the same as a red rose in full bloom.
If you prefer to drink your flowers rather than grow them, as I do, you will love this tea. The roses blossom on your palate with this rich, smooth tea.
it's a very floral, and surprisingly sweetly flavored blend
This is very floral. I personally love it. If you don't like overly floral teas this probably isn't for you. It's a very summery tea. Would be very good iced.
Not my favorite, but my 22 year old son and 19 year old daughter love it. I like it ok...I just have a hard time getting past the smell to get it to my mouth.
I love this tea! It's a good balance, plenty of rose flavor without feeling like you're not drinking perfume.
I have to say this is my new favorite kind of tea. It's sweet and delicate tasting and is also delicious either warm or iced.
Smells like roses! It's definitely very feminine, but probably not for everyone. The perfume-y quality is to be expected, but it's very refreshing!
I served this last night at a dinner party and everyone loved it. One guest stated, 'This tastes like rose petals!.'
I've had a lot of rose flavored teas and this one is okay. It smells really strong, which is great since I like roses, but the flavor is more perfumey than floral, like the oil that is used to flavor the tea isn't as pure rose as it could be.
Too floral for me but it really smells/tastes like roses.
Very refreshing as iced tea on a hot summer day. Leaves you with a fragrant taste in your mouth
I wanted to try this tea because I saw it used in a blend. I love the smell and the tea tastes really good. I may have to go ahead and try this iced
