Not my favorite, but I also tend to prefer white teas. Overall, I do enjoy drinking this a lot and am happy with the amount of rose I can taste.
Our Summer Rose tea invokes the sweet lingering fragrance of late summer roses winding up a garden trellis. Mellow and deliciously floral, this rose tea is balanced with the bright briskness of a Ceylon black tea.

Not my favorite, but I also tend to prefer white teas. Overall, I do enjoy drinking this a lot and am happy with the amount of rose I can taste.
This tea was very fragrant but I found the taste to be lighter than I was expecting.
This delightful when iced--a nice way to cope with being stuck inside the office on a sunny spring day. I'm a bit caffeine-sensitive, and this packed a wollop, but I like to think it makes me more productive. Or maybe I just talk faster. Dunno...
I've been making my own rose tea from blossoms we're growing at home, but I've been very eager to try a genuine 'rose tea' for a while, and let me tell you this one does not disappoint. This tea is SO aromatic it's borderline perfume. Very delicious and the perfect fix for light summer cravings.
It is good. The rose is a little strong but still good
This tea really opens up with a good bit of sweetener. Much stronger rose flavor than some other rose teas I've had, and at first I found that overpowering, but it's grown on me.
Very floral, but with a great depth. I liked this one more than I expected to!
I first encountered this at someone else s house and I turned it down because it smells like grandma. In a good way, but still. I finally gave in, and even though the aroma of the tea is very floral (which has grown on me), the result in the cup is mild. Now I quite like getting a faint whiff of rose from my tea. I d never get, say, a full pound of this, but I like keeping it around as a novelty.
I’m not the biggest black tea drinker, and my partner isn’t a big floral tea drinker. We both really enjoyed this one!
this is good many ways! I love rose flavoring and rosewater, so take from that what you will. It's good black, it's good with milk and sugar, it's good with just a splash of milk, it's good plain iced. Very floral and perfumy, so if that's not your gig it might not be right for you, but I adore it.
I don't even know what to say. This tea is my absolute favorite summer tea. It's so light for a black tea, and so oddly comforting to me.
This tea smells very floral and the taste is a bit too much for my taste. I enjoy rose in tea but this was a tad too strong.
At first, I was a little afraid this would taste like potpourri but the rose petals add just enough flavor without going overboard.
it has roses and is black tea, i drink it. i like it.
I love making this iced it's a great floral tea without being over powering
I always liked getting rose tea at boba shops, and figured I'd give this one a try even though I thought most flavored black teas from this website tasted kinda weird. This one didn't end up as dark in color as the Yorkshire Gold black tea that is my normal morning cup, but the fragrance of it is great. I think I might have found a new favorite. I'll definitely be ordering more of this one in the future.
A perfect rose black tea! Can taste both the black tea and rise perfectly balanced for me. Will repurchase when I’m out.
I did not like this one at all. I definitely loved the strawberry tea
I wasn't sure if I was gonna like this one but I got a sample anyway, definitely 10/10!
Once you get passed the overwhelming floral scent, the tea is quite nice.
A very clean and 'neat' black tea, with the subtle flavor of rose. Three minutes of steep time for a black tea might seem short, but I found that sticking to it kept the balance and allowed me to get more floral notes. I also found that this works well as an overnight cold brew, resulting in a light 'summertime afternoon on the wrap around porch' tea.
The aroma of this tea is amazing. It adds an incredible smell to blends and a subtle flavor. On its own, it's somewhat bitter, though. I like the floral taste, but it's an acquired one. Expect this one to taste a little like drinking potpourri.
The rose in this is really strong, without being overpowering. A great way to start the day!
I did not like this tea. I followed the exact instructions and the tea was so bitter. I also though the rose flavor did not pair well either.
Floral teas aren’t for everyone. This is very refreshing. I mixed it with chocolate and added a little cream. It is also good iced and sweetened with some rose sugar I had on hand!
Such a lovely and strong taste of rose! I love it! It will replace my Twinings rose garden black tea from Epcot!
Summer rose is just what you would expect. A rich dark blend with a touch of summer sunshine
Kinda tastes perfumey, I suppose that's what roses taste like. Different, but not my fave.
This smells amazing! This is definitely a great nice weather tea. Very floral and fresh in scent and flavor.
The rose is very pronounced, but not overpowering. Great afternoon tea
As a gardener, I've planted three rose bushes during the pandemic. This tea is like bringing your rose garden indoors. I can smell the rose when I opened the bag, and I can smell it after a steeping. I can taste it too!
Strong black tea, perfect for iced. Lovely rose undertones. Would buy again. Fragrant
I absolutely love this tea, but I'm also a huge fan of rose flavor to begin with. The rose flavor tastes and smells very authentic. The rose flavor itself is very bold (so if you don't love florals then it may be too much for you) but at the same time I think the tea as a whole is light.
Always one of my favorites... wonderful rose flavor
The rose flavoring is quite flavorful. I love it!
Even though this blend is Summer Rose, I look forward to it in the Spring. It's powder-sweet rose but the black tea base doesn't get lost under all the flavoring. This is a blend you have to be careful not to over steep though. It can get bitter if steeped longer than three minutes.
This is a go to tea for me. Great, strong black tea flavor with floral notes. Perfect on a cold, raw day. Also great as a pick me up midday when you start to drag. Floral flavor can be an acquired taste so if you like a strong Jasmine tea this will likely make you happy. If you aren’t a floral flavor person, I’d run away.
This is one of my new favourite teas. It tastes amazing as both a hot and cold Tea but personally I enjoy it cold. The rose is very prominent but not overwhelming. A great add on to any tea collection
interesting flavor with the rose, good afternoon choice
This was a great tea. The rose a really goof blend. It was very smooth. I was very impressed by the flavor because I was worried the rose flavoring would be too strong.
I want to give this more than 5 stars. So simple and so delicious. L-O-V-E
Oh this was so good!! Very flavorful, perfect if you love the taste of rose, not too strong but you definitely get that rose flavor feels very bright and summery I love it!
More floral than I would've expected, but not overwhelmingly so. Better iced than hot!
A classic blend, this is a staple in my kitchen all year round. The rose is fragrant but not overpowering. I usually steep closer to four minutes for a strong cup. It's very versatile as well, I enjoy it with a splash of milk sometimes.
A full- bodied black tea mellowed by the summertime fragrance of roses in bloom. Great on its own, but perfect with a touch of sugar and a dash of cream.
Would make a lovely, delicate iced tea as well as hot.
I enjoyed the tea with a teaspoon or two of sugar.
This is second tea from Adagio that just didn't work for me. Upon my ritual of opening this bag to smell the aroma, I was met with this very strong and pungent rose aroma. While it marginally smelled just okay, it's another tea (like my almond black tea review) that was really nothing to write home about. While I like flowery flavors like marigold flowers and blue cornflowers, this is quite overpowering.
I chose Summer Rose (and the Almond black tea which was not good) because I was trying to duplicate the flavor of Teavana's AWESOME 'Amandine Rose' black tea. Amandine Rose was described as having 'Almond, Cookie, Rose, Pastries & Cinnamon Spices'. After doing my own research on Adagio Teas' website for about 2 hours, I contacted customer service and asked for their advice on possibly duplicating Amandine Rose and they recommended the three core flavors of almond, summer rose and fiery cinnamon which is what my research concluded with as well. Well, it just didn't work at all. It tasted nothing like Amandine Rose, but more importantly, the flavor is really 'meh' even when I brewed this tea by itself.
Just NOT recommended!
This is a very good tea... I guess I just wasn't expecting such a strong rose flavor. You definitely have pay attention to the steep time. It's a great black tea. I love it with sugar and milk... actually it's the only way I am able to drink it. I'm sure it would make an awesome tea latte. It also has a lovely aroma.
I like this tea a bunch, it is super floral and goes well with honey.
