Strong black tea with mild strawberry flavor. Enjoyable and a good way to start the day.

Even though I was careful of time and temp (195F for 2.5min) the tea still turned out to be very astringent. Not a good combo with the 'berry' flavor, which to me was indistinguishable as 'strawberry'.

This tea is vibrant; it is bright, fruity, and smooth with a strong base, very berry-forward and perhaps my favorite berry tea that Adagio offers. I was surprised to find that I like this better than Adagio's Valentine's or Libra - I thought I liked strawberry better with cream and chocolate, but it seems the plain strawberry flavor just stands out wonderfully. I'm now inspired to try adding more strawberry to Adagio's chocolatey blends...

Not bad, not nearly as artificial strawberry flavoured as I was dreading

This was just OK for me. Fruity and bitter, probably due to the raspberry leaves. Would have been better with some sugar or stevia.

I liked this tea more than I thought I would! I'm not usually a fan of strawberry, but the black tea was enough to soften it. The smell and taste were both very strong, so I toned it down with some milk, and the result was quite tasty. Not something I would drink all the time, but not bad.

I liked this tea quite a bit. Some fruit teas are almost'fake' fruit tasting or medicinal. This is not, no astringency either. I added a wee bit sweetener and some oat milk. Delicious

I was excited to try this one, with my love of strawberries. Admittedly, it's a bit one-note. This tea is much more suited to be part of a blend than enjoyed on its own. The strawberry blends nicely with the ceylon, but the tea itself is unexpectedly bitter. Not unbearable, but it definitely detracts from the enjoyment. (Brewed 3 minutes at 212°F)

Meh. It's not you, it's me. I have a hard time with fruit teas in general, and this one is no exception. Give me a mango tea any day over this. Sort of has a 'fake' strawberry taste to me.

Enticing strawberry aromas floated out of the packet, alongside an earthier scent. An abbreviated black tea steep at 212°F for 3 minutes created a russet and mahogany tea.

More delectable strawberry scents rose up with the steam as I waited for the tea to cool. Strawberry flavors were apparent and strong enough to stand out alongside the bold Ceylon tea. The black tea provided layers of malt and cocoa, with a moderate level of astringency. Steeping this one is less forgiving than the decaf version of Adagio's strawberry black tea. At the 3 minute level, it was bold yet still manageable without much bitterness.

Just like its decaf cousin, this is an excellent strawberry black tea. Reach for this one when you need an extra kickstart in the morning!

The strawberry CommuniTea packet was ok. I didn't have any strawberry or Raspberry pieces in mine. It smelled so good when I opened the packet that I had high hopes. It mostly tasted of black tea with only a hint of the fruit flavor.

This is today's CommuniTEA packet, and... it's okay. Maybe it's because I didn't get any raspberry leaves or strawberry pieces in my pack, but I ended up with a slightly sweet Ceylon instead of anything resembling strawberry. Maybe if I got more than just the tea, I'd change my mind.

Time honored Ceylon black tea is flavored beautifully with just the right amount of strawberry. I did not find it bitter although I steeped as directed. The strawberry enhanced the taste without lending any sickly sweet taste or perfume smell.

This one surprised me, fruity teas are usually overly fruity but this one is not. It's got a nice blend of the fruity and black tea without either being overpowering.

This tea smells wonderful! The strawberry flavor is less pronounced than its scent, but it is very delicious! This tea is great hot or iced.

Black tea and strawberry; It's a pretty basic tea without complexity. The strawberry is present in good amounts, noticeable but not overwhelming. This tea is somewhat bitter on the first steep from the raspberry leaves (even when steeped at 195), this bitterness was relieved by adding a splash of milk. Has some astringency. I actually preferred this tea on the second steep -- there was still plenty of strawberry flavor but the bitterness disappeared and the tea was smoother, no milk required. It would probably be great in a blend or as a summer iced tea. (3 min @ 195)

Strawberry! It truly is the perfect strawberry tea. Big (natural) flavor, just the right sweetness, with just the right amount of black tea for background. Well-balanced and satisfying.

Strawberry is one of my favourite tea flavours. This one is pretty good, fruity and slightly sweet. I recommend adding in a bit of Wild Strawberry tea for even more Strawberry flavour.

CommuniTEA Sample - Pleasantly surprised at the tea this morning. I was expecting more of an artificial flavoring, but this one really hit the mark for me. A splash of cream and it was an excellent start for the day.

Really nice strawberry flavor amongst the black tea. Took a bit of sweetener to tone down the bitterness that likely came from the raspberry leaves, but once I sweetened it, I really enjoyed it. Also really good mixed with some of the chocolate truffle tea!

I’m biased against most of the straight flavored Ceylon blends, but this makes a luxurious latte with milk and sugar.

I don't have the best sense of taste/smell, but I couldn't taste the strawberry in this. All I could taste was the black tea. I added 2 Tbsp almond milk after the first couple of sips, but the strawberry flavour still eluded me. If I were to drink this tea again, I would try to steep it at around 185F instead of at 212F. This might not have been my cup of tea, but someone else who has a better sense of taste/smell might enjoy it more than I did.

Strawberry in a cup? Coming right up! Honestly I could have had even MORE strawberry flavor here but I like my flavored teas to be intense. I do think the creaminess of the strawberry helps tamp down the bitterness that can sometimes come through with Ceylon. Overall, this is a nice flavored sipper for a morning wake up call. Happy Sipping!

If you like strawberries this is the tea for you. The strawberry journey starts with the scent and follows through to the last sip. Very delicious.

The smell from the dry Leaves remind me of Strawberry NesQuick. I expected more strawberry flavor in the infusion. The astringency in the black tea came forward in my cup so I added sweetener and 1tsp dry milk. Strawberry came more in whiffs from the smell. A nice black tea with a sweet aftertaste and a lovely aroma. Brewed @ 212 for 4 min

This tea is a pleasant surprise. A strong, candy strawberry aroma comes from the dry leaves and, once brewed, the strawberry flavor is naturally strong and sweet enough to not require any sweetener. The strawberry flavor complements the black tea well, much like chocolate covered strawberries. That said, the strawberry flavor does not hold up for a second steep, even with a little sugar added. (3-4 minutes @ 212F)

The light strawberry flavor compliments the awesome Ceylon black tea. I prefer the fruit flavor to be more subtle because it doesn't cover the wonderful taste of a quality Ceylon. I do find that an easy way to bring out more of the fruity taste is to add a splash of lemon juice or a couple thin slices of fresh lemon. I note a bit of a floral scent and taste to this lovely tea as well. Maybe that's from the raspberry leaves? Not sure...but it's wonderful. :)
11/11/21 - Still love this flavored black tea! It's a staple in my tea stash. Great hot or cold brewed.

30 Oct 20 communiTEA review: Strawberry aromas hit my nose right out of chute! Intense black tea aromas were also noted. I decided to do a 190ºF steep to stave off any bitterness at this point. Everybody appeared to be present in my communiTEA packet and ready to go! When hot, I was presented with a stately dark red colored liquor that really caught my eyes! The strawberry came through with just the right amount of sweetness with no sourness noted. I added some sugar just to sweeten things up a little more. When warm, the Ceylon black came forward crisp and clean by supplying pleasantly dark-chocolate flavors. A very nice cup indeed! Do not over-steep this one! I suspect today’s tea would make a pretty decent and refreshing iced tea. The decaf version of this tea is also pretty good. (3 mins @ 190°F, 1/4 sugar)

This one is a very pleasant black tea with a distinct strawberry flavor. It is uncomplicated by other flavors or additions which is very satisfying for a taste specific tea. I steeped this one for 3 minutes at 185, there was no bitterness and fruit flavor was pleasant.

I could taste fruit but I'm not sure the flavor was distinctly strawberry. The tea was good, mild and not tannic, but strong with a fruity flavor. Decent, but not Adagio's best.

A keeper for me. I was expecting to like the raspberry flavored black tea better, but this strawberry appeals to me more. I'm not sure the flavor is the authentic taste of the fruit, but it's definitely tasty-- juicy is the best word I can think of to describe it. I will order more in future. :)
