This is a nice light tea which I brewed with a lower temp water - 180 degrees - for 3 minutes. I think that took care of any possible tartness I might have otherwise tasted. I just would have liked to be able to taste other flavors in the brew. Still it’s a nice smooth sip.

Update May 30, 2022: After reading a suggestion in the chat this morning, this tea was taken to a new level of delight. Added a little honey, then (soy) milk, it became a mellow Raspberry Cream tea. When it cooled, poured it over ice and it was a delicious refresher on this 90 degree day.
Jan 2021: Yes, it’s raspberry but it was a bit like sucking on a cherry cough drop while drinking tea. Sweet and tart as is, this cup from a Communitea packet brightened up a cold Jan morning.

A risky fine tea, but I really prefer the decaf version in terms of flavor. The raspberry flavor in the one just isn't strong enough to compete against the black tea. 3 mins @200F

This one is a take it or leave it tea for me. I’m not fond of raspberry, especially combined with Ceylon. My hubby, on the other hand, loves raspberry and enjoys this tea. Not a bad tea just something that neither one of us would drink regularly.

Lovely raspberry scent, but be careful with temperature to avoid bitterness. I did 212⁰, but should have followed my usual 200⁰ for black tea rule. Even with that, the raspberry flavor was present and enhanced by adding some monk fruit. Pretty astringent as is to be expected. Not bad, but I think I may prefer the raspberry green tea.

So if you love raspberry cordials or raspberry whipped eggs you will love this tea. If you are anti raspberry skip and if you only like fresh real fruit raspberry it may not be in your wheel house either. I would prob love this in a white or green tea base but black just doesn't work for my preference.

I saw others suggesting a shorter steep time, so I steeped mine for just over 2 minutes and it came out great! Tastes like raspberry, lightly sweet without adding sugar.

It's slightly astringent, but with a little bit of sugar you can hardly taste it and the raspberry flavor comes out more. It's more sweet than tart or tangy, but it's not a one-note sweetness either. The raspberry flavor is pretty good.

very pleasantly raspberry flavored, that was made better with some of adagio's honey for black tea, which brought out more fruity flavors

Very strong fruity smell from the packet. I brewed at 195 for 3 mins. No bitterness but not a lot of raspberry flavor. Did a second steep and put it is the frig. Much more flavorful iced.

CommuniTEA portion: Cold brewed for 10 hours. I mostly just get black tea with a slight artificial taste. Was enjoyable enough but not something I would order.

This was a nice smooth tea. It had a wonderful aroma when I opened the package. I only wish the flavour had been more pronounced in the brew.

smooth ceylon tea with raspberry. A very nice tea and I would imagine just as nice iced!

CommuniTEA Sample: Not one of my favorites but it's not bad. OK is a good description of it. I don't get fresh, juicy raspberry flavor when sipping this, but more of a raspberry leafy/astringent flavor.

I steeped at 195F for 2 minutes to stave off bitterness. I ended up with a slightly astringent black tea base with a hint of fruitiness. I think this one is great for blending, but on its own, it’s kind of just OK to me. It might be a nice cold brew, next time, I will try that. Sip, sip away!

Great flavor, I like to add sugar to this one, it takes the edge off the bitterness and makes for a tasty sweet raspberry cup. I still prefer raspberry green over black, it is one of my favorites, but this is pretty good too!

Ceylon always seems to play well with bright fruit flavors. This makes a nice cup! I drink it unsweetened, but I’m sure some sweetener would make the raspberry pop even more, although I enjoy it as is.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–I find Adagio’s flavored berry black teas just too bitter. If you like raspberries, this tea may be your jam. If you are a stout soul that can withstand the assault of tannins plus raspberry leaves on your taste buds, this brew may float your boat. However, my palate is not that hearty and I will move on to puerh or green tea pastures. Happy Sipping!

The raspberry is a little bitter even though I brewed it at 200 degrees. I was hoping for something more tart.

I brewed this tea for about a minute and a half, and it came out perfect! A nice, fruity taste without the bitterness that can come from overbrewing Ceylon tea. I am going to add some Cream tea to it on the second brewing, for a little berries and cream taste.

Much better than most berry teas! Nice raspberry taste. Some cream make it like a berries and cream flavor. Yum!

I thoroughly enjoyed this cup of tea and appreciated the previous reviewer’s suggestions to lower the water temperature and use less water but pull the steep promptly. I thought the raspberry-tea flavors were well balanced. I steeped at 190 degrees for 3 minutes and added raw honey to bring out the flavors. Delicious with a red raspberry jam on my English muffin!

2022 - The black Ceylon tea is really smooth in this year's batch. Just a little astringency to match the raspberry flavor and no bitterness. Very enjoyable cup this time!
2021 - The dry tea smells strongly of raspberries and as described, like candy. I suspect I should have brewed it at a lower temperature, as it was very strong at 212 and 3 minutes. It's a very astringent black tea and completely dries the mouth. The raspberry flavor was indeed tart and lingering. I would have liked this flavor better with a less assertive tea as its base.

I liked this raspberry tea. I think it'd be a great tea to have on-hand to add to earl greys and cream black teas.

There is a strong raspberry taste in the first sip than the bitterness creep in after that. The raspberry I did taste is a bit overly sweet. (195F for 3min)

Prior review: Ah! Love the fragrance of raspberry treats wafting through my kitchen upon opening the pouch. Upon the first sip, brewed at a lower temp and just about 3 minutes, I was pleased with my tea. Craving an experiment, I whipped up some heated vanilla creamer, just delicious!

This is one of my favorite fruit teas! I add just a touch of sweetener to help give it a more full raspberry flavor. I'll probably try it with a splash of oat milk next time too!

UPDATED from 1/8/21: There is a smell of sweet fruit coming from the CommuniTEA packet as it opens. This steeps (at a lower temp) into a lovely raspberry red color. MY is the raspberry bitter - talk about astringency! Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) calms the bitterness, so I can appreciate the raspberry flavor more. The tea goes well with sweets, and I am able to steep it 3 times! (it tastes good each time!) It even tastes good when cold. (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).

This is my new all out favorite tea. As soon as I opened the packet, the smell was like a fine dark chocolate with raspberries. After steeping for three minutes, the tea was a rich golden brown. The taste was of mostly excellent tea with an undertone of raspberry. I prefer my tea with nothing added and this tea was perfect. It was such a pleasure to drink.

Good flavor is you're looking for a very straight raspberry. I personally prefer to mix this with blackberry to make it a more complex profile and find that combination splendid

Smells very fruity and sweet. Can brew bitter if brewed too long. Smooth. Not an overly fruity taste to the tea itself. Has a good caffeine kick! This is still my favorite tea on the site! Good cold or hot. I highly recommend.

I brewed Raspberry with some mango, orange peels, valerian, and fruit tisanes honey. It smells a little weird, but it's very good! It's very sweet and each fruity flavor is separate, but they come together really well. I love this tea and would highly recommend it!!

Very good raspberry flavor. I found that the black tea can be a little strong if left to steep too long. The raspberry and black tea is a great combo. It was nice with a little cream and sugar and great iced.
