Maybe I need to force myself to try this tea a few times more and see if I can get it right, but I think this is the first Adagio tea to really put me off (and yet it's so popular, with so many nice reviews! I might be crazy). This smells wonderful in the bag, like chocolate-raspberry ice cream, but brewing the tea seemed to flip the lovely raspberry scent inside out, twisting it in on itself until it tasted actively... upsetting to me. To be clear, I didn't get a lack of fruit flavor from the tea. I got an abundance of fruit flavor that somehow came across as... creepy. Not too tart. Not too bitter. Creepy. Like when you blend two flavors that just will not agree to cooperate with one another and should never have been forced to touch. Only this was all in one tea.

It's a mystery to me, and I'm willing to accept that my own taste buds may be to blame, but I actively disliked this tea.

Update: I made another cup of this tea while running a comparison between several of my Adagio berry tea samples, and I felt I should up my rating on this one by at least one step. I definitely can still taste that unfortunately-indescribable flavor note that was bothering me so badly on the previous try, but on this time around I also noticed aspects of the flavor that I liked. I think it would definitely be worth an experiment to try this tea crossed with a fairly weighty vanilla or chocolate tea. I wonder if the depth of such a tea would take that squirmy twist in the raspberry flavor that is throwing me off and tamp it down until it's no longer noticeable at all.

Not quiet as good as I as expecting, the raspberry is actually a little too light for my preference.And the raspberry seemed to make the tea a bit more bitter Not a bad tea though.

Thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of this one. Subtle raspberry with a nicely rounded Ceylon tea flavor. Will definitely purchase this one again!

I bought this mostly to share with my friend, who loves raspberry tea. It's not my favorite, but she loves it.

I've always been a fan of raspberry anything, and even raspberry tea. This is delicious, next time I have this I want to hopefully mix it with some lemonade in a pitcher. <3 Yummy!

I love fruit-flavoured teas but am often disappointed by the 'fake' or medicinal taste. Once again, Adagio does it right! I enjoy the bold berry taste. no cough syrup here! Blends very nicely with vanilla, too.

Wonderful fragrance to it, although the taste was a little weak.

this tea is very yummy, especially considering that i don't usually like flavored teas. the raspberry flavor isn't over empowering but still noticeable.

This tea smells amazing. I open it up at work and my coworkers instantly gather around cause they know i'm making raspberry tea.

Raspberry is raspberry is raspberry. A lot of places make raspberry tea, but most of them don't nail it. Adagio is close, though. At least it doesn't make my throat burn.

As is usually the case with Adagio's flavored blacks, the tea was strongly scented when the bag was opened - like cherry syrup, definitely worth a second sniff. Brewed up at 212F for 4 minutes, the flavor is smooth, with the raspberry subtle but present, not overpowering. Good both hot and cooled to room temp, though I haven't tried it iced yet. Excellent with a bit of star thistle honey.

I have really taken to the flavor of raspberry, so it was nice to have it on it's own. It does taste great blended with something else though, like the Sagittarius blend offered here.

Have not drunk this by itself, have only blended it with other teas. It has a wonderful aroma and has great raspberry flavor!

Raspberry taste seems a bit too artificial for me, but it's also possible I'm just not a big fan of raspberry tea (though I love the fruit!). Curious to try it iced and/or blended with other things. I think it's one of the ingredients in the Valentines tea, which is great, so it's strange that it doesn't taste so good on its own.

I'm usually not one for fruit teas, but as far as they go this one is quite nice.

This tea is really nice...it's not too sweet. In fact, it's rather mild and smooth and just generally enjoyable.

This is one I would buy more of, definitely. It's sweet and tangy!

It's a little low on the raspberry flavor for me personally but still tastes great, tried it hot as one of my first teas from adagio and its just not what I had expected, seems like it would be good Iced so I'm going to try that next.

The best raspberry tea I've ever tried. Great with cream and sugar but also as an iced tea.

Fragrant tea with a distinct fruity flavor. The Raspberries come out nicely in this mixture.

Upon opening the bag, it smells WONDERFUL. I was so excited to brew this one, and it's so delicious! Doesn't need to be sweetened at all, in my opinion. I've only tried it hot, but from what the other reviews say, I really need to try it iced!

So good! This tea smells delightful, and the raspberry flavor shines through nicely. Great on its own or with a bit of sugar. I like to make it with sugar and cream, which is delicious as well. I'm sure it would make a wonderfully refreshing iced tea, too.

I have always enjoyed the rasberry tea from Adagio.

This tea has a very strong, sweet berry flavor. Don't drink this on an empty stomach.

I love raspberry tea. Best raspberry tea i had. I really enjoyed it iced.

It was alright as a hot brewed tea. However, I think that this tea is better suited as a cold tea.

I love it! Will be getting more on future orders.

Very good! Raspberry is my favorite overall flavor and to have it in tea is awesome. The black tea that acts as a base is very good and high quality. I didn't give it a 'great' rating because the raspberry isn't AS strong as I like it, but keep in mind I am a raspberry freak. Watch the steep carefully, it got bitter the first time I steeped it and let it go a little long.

Absolutely wonderful aroma! The only downfall was the slight bitterness.

Fruity notes are nice, enhanced with a touch of honey.

Very tangy and astringent taste to this tea. I add sugar, lemon, and honey to balance the flavor out and it works. I tried it iced and it was even better.

Do not let the bag fool you! As someone else mentioned it smells pretty medicinal when first opened, but the taste is far from chemical or unpleasant. It isn't 'oh dear god raspberry' either

The raspberry tea is one of our absolute favorites and a go-to tea.

Bought this for my band director and he absolutely loved it.

Not overwhelming at all. Sweet to a fine point, and certainly palatable. Leaves a little bit of a dry finish.

The first time I tried this I wasn't overly impressed. The raspberry flavor seemed underwhelming. I love raspberry though, so I tried it again and maybe got a better batch because it's as wonderful as I had hoped it would be. I like this hot or iced.

This tea is pretty good. It has a really nice but not overbearing raspberry flavor.

A nice fruity tea. Tastes somewhat similar to the blackcurrant tea, but it has it's own raspberry flavor, which tastes pretty damned good.

This is a very nice tea that isn't too weak like some fruit-flavoured teas. It wasn't quite raspberry-y enough for me, so I added two fresh crushed raspberries to the pot and it was PERFECT.

Easily over-brewed. Tends to get very bitter. This tea definitely doesn't taste as good as it smells.
