Raspberry Customer Reviews

Crisp black tea with playful raspberry flavor. Candy-like aroma, jammy flavor, tangy dry finish, not too 'cheeky.'

A nice strong black tea with just enough of a hint of that juicy, sweet, tart raspberry flavor. I've only tried it hot, but I bet this will taste absolutely delicious as an iced tea :)

Love it, got it as a sampler and ordered more, nice flavor not too much but enough to notice!

★★★★★

I'm a big fan of fruit flavored teas, and this is one of the best ones I've tasted. Very pleased.

The raspberry flavor lingers on your tongue after you swallow your sip. It's a delicate tea that goes great with a vanilla cream. It's a perfect tea to start your day with.

Tangy but sweet, very nice texture. Don't steep too long or it gets bitter.

★★★★☆

fresh, faint, traditional raspberry flavor. Slightly sweet. Very refreshing iced!

★★★★☆

Smells amazing when brewing. I think this would make fantastic iced tea.

★★★★★

Wonderfully strong berry flavor. The fruitiest of all the fruit flavored black teas I have tried so far. When mixed with a bit of chocolate it tastes nearly as decadent as the chocolate raspberry cheesecake I used to get in NYC.

I loved the raspberry tea. it was sweeter than I expected, but not tart. I like mixing it with other black teas for some extra fruity flavor.

This tea is pretty lightly raspberry flavored, more of a tea taste first, raspberry second. Like most of their fruit teas, it would be nice if they put more fruit bits in, but it's pleasing enough.

Opening this bag was like opening a bottle of fruit-flavored chew vitamins. It smelled chalky and rather artificial (though that's not what put me off. I'll admit I'm weird in that I kind of like those things.) As a tea, it was weird. Sort of sweet and berry-ish, but quite fake and reminiscent of medicine. I wouldn't throw out the sample I bought, but I wouldn't order any more, either.

Raspberries are always the best. I like this blended with the rooibos.

★★★★★

One of my favorites! Great balance of fruity raspberry and rich black tea. Before encountering Adagio teas, I always added sweetener. The flavor of these teas, however, stand alone! My husband, normally not a tea drinker, enjoys this one too.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite stand alone teas! Possibly because the first tea party I was invited to, at age 8, served rasberry tea. But my love for rasberry tea hasn't diminished! I love this tea around three o'clock! Just a gentle little pick me up, and a much needed spot of summer in the dreary months of winter.

Just awesome !!! Great flavor !!! will buy again !!

★★★★★

A great mix of sweet and sour, and holds up well to being forgotten about and cooled.

★★★★★

The smell of this tea is fabulous and the taste matches!! I def like to make mine a little stronger as I use 2.5 teaspoons per cup! I cant wait to combine it with some different tea combos for some ice tea

Delicious black tea with a light, subtle raspberry flavor. Sometimes I like to mix it with a bit of peppermint tea. Just as tasty iced.

★★★★☆

A very bright raspberry flavor. Reminiscent of summer. Also seems to be a favorite for kids, my nieces and nephews drink this like kool-aid!

★★★★★

Wow, this was quite surprising.. The scent from the pouch was identical to a big bowl of raspberries,so refreshing. I just knew the flavor was going to be super strong with raspberry powah!...but no, the raspberry flavor was quite subtle, but definitely there. This one is going to be another favorite, due to how balanced it is..like ying and yang.

Not as flavorful as I was hoping. Still nice ans smooth

★★★★★

Loved this tea. makes a fantastic sweet iced tea!!

★★★★★

Best raspberry I've found in some time! It's a little tart and sweet, but not overly so, and good any time of day or if one isn't feeling well. Definite re-order!

★★★★★

I really like this tea. it is perfect hot or iced. For iced tea, just put cold water over it and let it sit for about 12 hours. I found that this brought out the more fruity flavors of the tea.

Great fruity raspberry flavor. Not too tart or sweet. Refreshing and just right!

★★★☆☆

I don't think it's as sweet as I would have hoped it to be.

★★★★★

Love the taste and the smell. Very delicious tea. Will definitely be adding this to my favorite teas.

I love raspberry tea, this one was a little bit on the subtle side, but still delicious! very good iced!

great flavor, it has a great taste also, I really like it alot

★★★★☆

This is a really good tea that is just great iced. Great raspberry flavor at the end of the sip with the black tea flavor at the front.

★★★★☆

This was a little light on the raspberry flavor but still very good. It smells heavenly! I drink it several times a week.

★★★★★

This is my favorite tea! I love love love raspberries!

★★★★★

The aroma is wonderful and together with a little cookie it's even better. I love my teas!

★★★★☆

The taste of this tea is better than the smell. When I opened the bag, the tea smelled awful, like chemicals or fake raspberry flavor. But, once brewed and with sugar and milk added, it actually tasted pretty good! A bit like raspberry candy.

★★★★☆

A nice black tea with a hint of raspberry--and I mean a hint. The berry flavor isn't overly strong. I'd suggest brewing right at five minutes or under to bring out a bit more of the fruit taste.

Very raspberry... which I should have expected I guess. LoL It's good. Not amazing. Can be a little overpowering. But all in all not bad. I like it better as a mix-in I think. The pure raspberry is just too much for me to handle. I like this best with cream and sugar. Try adding it to other black teas for a little more subdued flavor.

★★★★★

This has a wonderful chocolatey raspberry aroma to it, the kind that I shake under a friend's nose to get her out of bed, but tastes like a good deep black tea with just a hint of fruit.

This is absolutely delicious iced. Ive been drinking it nonstop. Have yet to try it hot though.

★★★☆☆

This is good iced or hot, but it all depends on how strong you like your tea. Make it to strong and it tastes medicinal/fake.

★★★★★

This is my favorite tea I've ordered from this site- the raspberry flavor is so juicy and fresh.

A favorite of mine to augment to a blend or stand alone as iced tea.

★★★★★

Definitely one of my new favorites. When first opening the packet, the sweet scent of raspberries was almost overwhelming. Even after brewing the aroma is still very pungent. The tea itself is very delicious, only keeping a little bit of the sweetness from the berry. I see no reason to drink this tea with sugar or any other sweeteners. Before I even know it, my tea cup is empty. Extremely easy to drink. I just bought this and I already feel like I'm running out!

While I love raspberries by themselves... lending them to a black tea over sweetens the tea for my tastes and does not lend the raspberry tang I love when just eating the fruit. If you love really sweet fruity teas though you should give it a try.

★★☆☆☆

I've purchased a Raspberry Black Tea locally and was really looking forward to Adagio's version... and found myself disappointed. The flavor is too subtle. I've been working my way through my last order of it, and have simply learned to add other teas to it (Adagio's Apple and or Cream). On it's own, it's simply too bland for my taste.

★★★★★

This is definitely one of my favorite black teas! It is rich with a strong flavor of raspberry. My husband and I love to blend it with herbal teas, like Berry Blast, to boost the flavor even more!

A nice mild taste, not too tart and definitely raspberry. I found steeping it longer to provide more aroma.

★★★★☆

This tea smells so great out of the bag! As with all black teas, make sure not to oversteep (or it will become bitter beyond belief). I personally like green teas more than black teas, but this tea was still pretty good.

★★★☆☆

Maybe I need to force myself to try this tea a few times more and see if I can get it right, but I think this is the first Adagio tea to really put me off (and yet it's so popular, with so many nice reviews! I might be crazy). This smells wonderful in the bag, like chocolate-raspberry ice cream, but brewing the tea seemed to flip the lovely raspberry scent inside out, twisting it in on itself until it tasted actively... upsetting to me. To be clear, I didn't get a lack of fruit flavor from the tea. I got an abundance of fruit flavor that somehow came across as... creepy. Not too tart. Not too bitter. Creepy. Like when you blend two flavors that just will not agree to cooperate with one another and should never have been forced to touch. Only this was all in one tea.

It's a mystery to me, and I'm willing to accept that my own taste buds may be to blame, but I actively disliked this tea.

Update: I made another cup of this tea while running a comparison between several of my Adagio berry tea samples, and I felt I should up my rating on this one by at least one step. I definitely can still taste that unfortunately-indescribable flavor note that was bothering me so badly on the previous try, but on this time around I also noticed aspects of the flavor that I liked. I think it would definitely be worth an experiment to try this tea crossed with a fairly weighty vanilla or chocolate tea. I wonder if the depth of such a tea would take that squirmy twist in the raspberry flavor that is throwing me off and tamp it down until it's no longer noticeable at all.
