Brewed at 195 F for 3 minutes.
A smooth and flavorful black tea with a mild fruity flavor. The raspberry is subtle, but still noticeable, with a stronger fragrance than flavor.
Crisp black tea with playful raspberry flavor. Candy-like aroma, jammy flavor, tangy dry finish, not too 'cheeky.'

This tea smells a lot more like raspberries than it tastes. I steeped it at a lower temperature to avoid the bitterness from the black tea but it still had a tough of bitterness. While a bit much on its own I think this would do really well in a blend, perhaps with a sweeter tea or cream tea. I wouldn’t have this tea again on its own though.
Update 8/7/24: This is a smooth black tea with a nice raspberry flavor. I prefer to drink this plain and iced.
I cold brewed today's communiTEA sample and the first sip was bitter. I had to add a little sugar and heavy cream to tone the bitterness down and bring out the raspberry flavor.
Good hot, willing to bet it would be even better iced.
I don't think I am a fan of Adagio's raspberry flavor, this tea is okay but I think it had a bit of a artificial taste.
It tastes like raspberry. I read reviews before brewing and went with 180*F and 3 minutes. It still had great flavor and zero bitterness. I added milk. Great cup.
A soft raspberry tea, complemented by a bold black. This is one I'd recommend closely watching the steep time to not overbrew to avoid bitterness.
Very good Raspberry flavor. Not fake tasting at all! Found it a tad bitter tasting following the steeping instructions, but that’s just fine for me as I love milk in my black teas
This is a solid raspberry black tea. Smells amazing hot! Tastes great both hot and iced.
Adagio's Raspberry Black Tea offers a very good flavor with a natural-tasting essence of raspberry. The blend is enjoyable and smooth, making for a pleasant tea experience. However, it is quite mild, which might not fully satisfy those looking for a more robust raspberry flavor. For a stronger raspberry profile, Adagio's Raspberry Green Tea might be a better option, as the milder green tea base allows the raspberry flavor to shine more prominently. Overall, Raspberry Black Tea is a nice, subtle choice for those who prefer a gentler fruit infusion in their black tea.
One of the best raspberry tea's I've tried. The tartness of the raspberry comes through but it is still quite smooth.
This was NOT a good tea for me! I didn't like it at all, and it had NO raspberry flavor to the taste, so I gave it to a friend. 😖
Should have made this as an iced tea but used the sample for hot only. Nice raspberry flavor without over powering and smooth taste
If you like raspberry you will like this -it is very good! You will not be disappointed
I like it. Good raspberry flavor - not sour or “fake” tasting. Will buy again!
We bought this raspberry black tea from Adagio after trying the raspberry tea from Charleston Tea Plantation. Way to be competitive , Adagio - we love it!
i actually enjoyed this one iced. hot no so much. will be a rebuy after i finish the sample pouch i got
I found this one a little bit bitter. I'm still going to try to make it work, but I don't know that I'd repurchase.
I really enjoyed this tea, had a nice citrus taste
This blend has a sweet and tangy aroma that will tempt your nose and a smooth and fruity taste that will delight your tongue. The Ceylon base gives this blend a brisk and refreshing flavor, while the raspberries add a burst of berry goodness that will make your mouth water. The raspberry leaves enhance the health benefits and the flavor of this blend, adding a hint of herbal and earthy notes that balance the sweetness of the raspberry.
This tea is good hot and cold it’s one of my favorites but I also love raspberry so
This tea has a very sweet aroma and taste to it. It is very distinct in raspberry taste and I was not disappointed at all. It does have a very dry mouth feel so I recommend adding a bit of milk if that is not your favorite feeling
I like this raspberry tea, but the black tea was bitter. I will try the tea next time at a lower temp to see if I can decrease the bitterness.
Adagio's standard Ceylon tea, which is nice, but the raspberries and raspberry leaves make it special and give a nice fruity touch. I love it with chocolate.
Very good black prefer iced. Cold brewed. Good flavor. Morning tea. Wonderful smell.****************
In a world of flavors enchanting and fine,
Where tea leaves dance and transcend time,
A gem I found amidst the tea domain,
Oh raspberry tea, you bless my very brain.
Adagio, your craftsmanship is splendid,
This raspberry blend, like love, unended.
Upon my lips, a symphony of sweet,
A vibrant melody, pure and complete.
As the hot water meets this crimson delight,
Aroma pervades, enticing me to take flight.
With every sip, a burst of summer unfolds,
Whispers of ripe raspberry, a tale untold.
The honeyed tang, a perfect harmony,
Mingles with leaves in perfect empathy.
Smooth on my palate, a heavenly grace,
A sip of serenity, bliss I chase.
From dawn till dusk, in every vibrant hue,
This vibrant potion, amidst life imbues.
A gentle energy, it brings to my soul,
Refreshment and joy that make me whole.
So here's my ode to thee, raspberry divine,
For your flavors transcend life's confines.
In every cup, a sanctuary I find,
Adagio's raspberry tea, a treasure I'll always remind.
A bagged raspberry-flavored black tea from the grocery store used to be my daily cup of tea, but I didn't care for Adagio's when I switched to loose leaf. The flavoring is VERY intense. Even now, I can handle it in certain blends but won't drink it on its own. What I do like is a 50-50 blend of Raspberry and Raspberry Green (which I find too mild on its own). That creates a more balanced flavor I can live with. The fact that it's a black-green combo doesn't present a problem for me in taste or otherwise. High caff and 195/2 for that simple blend.
Really good tea if you like fruit flavored teas! Very strong raspberry flavor. Will definitely order this one again!
An excellent basic tea. It blends well with cacao nibs for an extra rich flavor. For those who like to mix tea flavors, this can be blended with rooibos to lighten it up, or perhaps raspberry leaf for women.
I mix this tea with chocolate black tea. It adds a lovely raspberry flavor and it’s one of my favorite blends
I've tried this raspberry tea a few times. The flavor veers towards a tart tasting tannic tea with just a hint of berry, even with careful brewing. The combined strong flavor of raspberry leaves paired with Ceylon black tea seems to eclipse the more delicate raspberry taste.
Brewed 12oz. at 195*F for 3min. My CT packet had 3 g. of a tangy sweet scented tea which steeped into a med. brown liquor. The brewed tea had a dominant black tea scent with a hint of raspberry and had the same flavor as the aroma when sipped. I used agave to sweeten which brightened the berry taste a bit more. The sweetened tea, however, still tasted more like a black tea than a berry one. Then I brewed a cup of Adagio's Decaf Raspberry for comparison and liked it better. The decaf tea was smoother and had more of a raspberry taste. So now when I want a cup of delicious berry tea I reach for my cannister of Decaf Raspberry which is delicious, resteeps well and rates 5 stars!
A Solid Fruity Black tea that delivers exactly as promised.
Update 2023: I remembered to use 195 F water and steep for only 3 min. I also used the raw honey for black tea. What a difference! I added a star since there was no unwanted astringency. I still would not give this all 5 though since there are so many other better teas I enjoy more.
I am not a fan of Ceylon black tea because I find it to be bitter. My first cup I brewed too hot (212 degrees and let it cool too long and then had to microwave it.) My 2nd cup I brewed at 195 for 3 min. It was tolerable but still had an astringency that required Monk fruit to tone down. The raspberry flavoring was only ok. I don't think I will be ordering this one.
. Aroma of raspberry was strong when I opened packet. Tasted predominantly like black tea with a hint of raspberry. A mild soothing black tea enhanced with a little honey.
Very nice; tart and rich. One sweetener packet really rounded it out.
And it smells great.
I love raspberry and the flavor is good and strong without bitterness. This is one of my favorite Adaigio black teas.
This was a nice tasting cup of tea. It was mild and fruity.
1st was as directed and no sweetener to taste flavor. Hot is was a nice tea (smelled like raspberry but no taste of raspberry) but became very bitter as it less hot. I added some stevia, my standard sweetener, and dumped it it was too bitter as it cooled off to drink. I read the reviews and tried a lower temp and also a sweet cream and it’s amazing! 180/3m + sweet cream, tastes like a cream raspberry candy and smells heavenly! I normally don’t drink fruit teas unless they are iced or part of a herbal mix, but I would get this again. I enjoy this subscription process as it allows me to try different versions daily. I drink a lot of tea and have my favorites. Also I’m learning more about the different time/temps and how that changes the brew.
Updated from 5/30/22: Pretty tasty with a little sweetener and a slightly shorter steep! I've also cold-steeped it, and it turned out light and juicy, but didn't need any sweetener.
Heeded the warnings of other sippers and brewed at 195F for 3 minutes and avoided bitterness, and got the dry finish and some raspberry flavor that was helped along by a dash of honey, but nothing very tangy.
Raspberry jam without cloying sweetness - that's what this tea reminds me of. The dry leaves smell jammy as does the brewed tea, and unlike other aromas that don't carry so well in actual taste, this one comes through loud and clear. With a touch of honey added, this makes a pleasant sip. It would probably be good iced as well. The raspberry flavor doesn't taste as artificial as many of Adagio's fruit flavors do. It's bright and tangy enough to give an enjoyable lift to the Ceylon's darker notes but subtly sweet enough to not make the tea too astringent or tart. Unfortunately, the flavor doesn't carry through as well in a second steep. Still, this would be a versatile addition to the tea cupboard as it can be enjoyed hot or cold and would probably blend well. (3 minutes @ 212F)
This tea has a very decent mimicking flavor of raspberry. Its a little tart but nothing some sweetner couldn't fix. Gives off a nice berry vibe.
Not a bad tea but just one that tastes like every other raspberry tea. Much like lemon and mango, it seems like every tea company has a version of this tea and they all more or less taste the same. Solid but there are way more exciting teas out there from Adagio.
I would like to brew & ice this time sometime. But, today I brewed it and blended in Chili Lime Green!! It was very good--However...I am a huge Decaf Raspberry fan. And love blending it with CLG & so many other teas, as well. So..the Caff Razz doesn't hold a candle to the tastiness of the Decaf, honestly. But, its still quite fine. 5️⃣🌟's!
Raspberry is my favorite flavor profile. Having it as today's communiTea flavor is really appreciated on a Monday.
I could smell the raspberries when I opened the packet and the tea had a strong raspberry flavor. The black tea base was not bitter.
When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with the delicious aroma of raspberries. I steeped the tea for about 2 minutes to avoid bitterness. The tea had a mild raspberry flavor that balanced nicely with the black tea base. I wish the raspberry flavor was stronger, but overall it’s a nice tea!
Black tea isn't my favorite, but I love raspberries. I do taste and smell the raspberry flavor. It's a good iced tea after adding some sweetener.
A delicious, fruity black tea. Like most of Adagio's raspberry teas, it can turn bitter quickly if oversteeped. But with a little caution, you'll be rewarded with a very tasty cup of tea!
Slight raspberry flavor and dry on the palate!
