A very well balanced black tea with all of the great pumpkin spice flavor. A must have during the fall and especially on Thanksgiving!
This one is just Ok. I got more of a normal chai flavor than a pumpkin flavor from this one.
This was pretty good, not my favorite. The flavors were not quite as strong as I expected but it’s certainly an acceptable warm drink for fall for those of us who love spice but hate coffee.
Had this as a CommuniTea packet and knew I needed to invest in a big bag. Warming, smooth, and delicious. This blend is perfect on a cold, winter day whether it's pumpkin spice season or not!
One of my favorites for winter. Deep flavor profiles that add warmth and spice to your day.
For the fall lovers out there this tea is a must have
One of my favorite blends. Nice and spicy. Tastes like fall but I like to drink it all winter too!
This is a pleasant chai style tea. Cinnamon and clove forward. Very little actually pumpkin flavor but the spices are very well balanced. I recommend brewing this tea extra strong and turning it into a latte.
Curl up and enjoy the cozy notes that remind you of fall. Tart but not unpleasant and mixes well with rock sugar.
I am not usually a pumpkin spice everything fan, but my husband is so I grabbed this. I was surprised by how much I liked it! Really pleasant flavor. Please note, water boils at 199 degrees where I am, due to altitude. @adagioteas
Warm and cozy with the perfect amount of spice. Best I think with milk and sugar @adagioteas
I like this black tea, with good holiday flavors to go with it.
One of the best teas I’ve had from Adagio. It is great as a milk tea.
If you like the flavor of pumpkin, this is the best tea. For a truly decadent drink, add pumpkin spice latte creamer!
Delightful! I enjoyed this tea as my wake cup or just a relaxing afternoon sip.
This is one of my favorite teas. I like to add pumpkin spice creamer and a spash of vanilla syrup to sweeten and it s perfect for fall and winter mornings. @adagioteas
I have been a fan of the honeybush pumpkin chai on here for awhile as a go-to cold-weather non-caff favourite. However, I saw this one and wanted to try the 'real' tea version. It has a good spiciness to it, very clove-forward rather than cinnamon-forward (but I have other teas heavy on the cinnamon so it's not too disappointing). It has a natural sweetness, so no sweeteners needed. But it is a little harsh without some lightener. A few splashes of unsweetened almond milk does the trick for me.
Definitely one of my favorite teas to drink in fall, matches the vibe perfectly.
Updated review: Now that the blend has been reformulated, I don't care for it. There is no pumpkin flavor. It is left tasting like any random chai, with too much cardamom. I won't repurchase.
So good! The pumpkin flavor actually shines through, so you aren't left feeling like you drank another random chai. Well done! Milk and sugar for me.
It was the embodiment of fall and the holidays. It was very flavorful.
This has all of the spices pumpkin pie has. It's best with a little honey.
The tea was good, but not what I was expecting. It’s very much like a standard chai. I got very little pumpkin flavor or smell out of it.
I bought this for a Christmas gift so I can’t really say how it is.
This is a spicy combo, and I am all for it. The heat from the pumpkin spice compliments the black tea so well. Highly recommend.
I do like this tea but it's not my favorite black tea. I'm more of a Christmas spice kind of person. This is more bland compared to that
tea was appropriately spicy, if not a little brisk and bitter @adagioteas
Lovely seasonal tea. The chai really blends well with the pumpkin spice.
The spice was too strong and the tea became bitter very easily.
I ordered a small pack of this because I love pumpkin everything, and I must say, I love it! They changed the recipe and this one is a hit. So good! I had to mix it with gingerbread tea last year to make it taste right, but this one is perfect!
Such a great tea for a brisk fall evening. The pumpkin or spice is not overpowering. Overall, a great fall flavor to add to any tea collection
I MISS the 'OLD' Pumpkin Spice. When I read a couple of years ago that Adagio was going to change to a new version of my ALL-TIME favorite tea, I was very skeptical and ordered several pounds while I could still get it. Today was my first cup of the 'new' Pumpkin Spice. That lovely and exciting feeling one gets when they open up a brand new bag of favorite tea and breathe in the aroma was replaced by disappointment. The thrill of the first cup of the season of my beloved Pumpkin Tea that tasted like pumpkin pie in a mug that I served proudly to every guest in my home, was gone. My fears were confirmed in the cup moments later. The overpowering cardamom leaves no room for any other flavor (if it's even there at all). The only scent imparted, or flavor detected, was just that - cardamom. All I can liken the 'new' Pumpkin Spice Tea to is just plain chai (not even pumpkin chai, mind you). I tried 3 minutes like the bag said, 5 minutes, 1 minute, boiling, not boiling, simmer. No matter how it was prepared, it came out all varying degrees of that one flavor. Rather than retaining the name, they should have just discontinued the original flavor. Now I have a whole pound of THIS to drink myself :-( Janet A.
The flavor is good, not one I would readily associate with pumpkin spice though. @adagioteas
I found this to be more strong than I anticipated. I had to cut it with milk and sugar. Smelled really good though. I think that I may have steeped it too long.
Not a fan. I was underwhelmed by the pumpkin and spice notes and was expecting more of a chai tea taste.
Tried with milk & with honey (not together) - milk gets you something like a pumpkin spice latte, without the overwhelming sweetness. Honey gives you a spicier flavor, perfect for a cold morning to warm you up!
A good fall day kind of tea! The spice goes well with the black tea
This could be a new favorite!! Such an amazing aroma and taste! Really gets me in the Fall spirit!!
Smells great.
I'm not a huge pumpkin fan but I like a more festive tea when we get close to the holidays. This one is good - a little heavy on the cloves - but with a decent amount of milk added (I use 2%), it's the type of tea I like a couple of times each week at this time of year.
I really need advice on how to make this tea palatable, because it's just too bitter no matter what I do. Maybe I steeped it too long or not long enough, but it's just SO bitter I can't take more than one sip without choking.
Pumpkin spice as advertised, especially good with a bit of cream
Nice warm fall flavors. It has an excellent aroma.
Openening the bag made me cautious - the only thing I could smell was cinnamon, and lots of it - but then the hot water hit and the softer scents started flowing out.
Others seem to have better luck with this than I did; my first sip was nothing but black tea with a bitter tang I couldnt quite place. The smells were still there, though not quite what I'd call 'pumpkin spice', but the flavour and mouthfeel left a lot to be desired. Maybe it was a bad ratio (which happens occasionally), or needed less time than prescribed, but those are experiments for later.
A small swirl of sweetened condensed milk went a long way, tamping down the bitter, letting the cinnamon and cardamom really shine, and softening the drink into something I could easily call Fall Flavoured. There still needs to be more (or really any) pumpkin flavour to make it suit the name, but it's an overall decent cuppa to start the morning when the cold winds start to blow.
One of my favorites so far, it tastes very good and great for fall
Honestly wasn't my favorite I wasn't really able to taste the pumpkin flavor.
The aroma is wonderful! Smells just like autumn. I tried steeping this tea for 4 minutes, but I could not taste the spices. The second time, I rinsed the tea for 20 seconds with hot water, then steeped at 212 for 5 minutes. No bitterness, just aromatic, spicy tea with a wonderful smooth mouthfeel. For added richness and indulgence, I then added a tsp. Of cream and sugar.
Great pumpkin spice flavor. Perfect for cool fall mornings. 🍁
I shared this tea with three of my sisters, and it got rave reviews. Just taking in the aroma had us heady with anticipation. The flavor definitely conjures up all things autumnal - pumpkin pie, fall spices, golden days. I challenge anyone who gets a whiff of this intensely flavorful tea not to try it.
Dry tea smells strongly of clove. Once brewed, the resulting cup is a medium brown with a clove and cinnamon scent. When hot, the clove and cinnamon are strong, with some ginger zings in the finish. When warm, the black tea can be tasted, and adds a bright backdrop to the spice mixture. The spices are reminiscent of a chai mix but less strong. The pumpkin-esque spice mix is very fitting for fall. I just wish that there was more actual pumpkin flavor as I love pumpkin. Brewed at 200 for 3 minutes.
I gave this as a gift and the recipient called to thank me, she was delighted with the aroma of the tea!
I really wanted to love this tea. I was super excited to try it, but it does come with an extremely strong synthetic smell. It tastes strongly like a chia tea with no hints of pumpkin. If you're really looking for a good chia tea with pumpkin flavor, I would recommend David Tea's Pumpkin Chia instead,
