This tea has a great fruit taste. I tend to like my tea mixed with flavored water and this one is great mixed with a cup of orange favored water.

Just what I was looking to get. Solid traditional tea with a subtle twist. This one satisfies the whole family.

I quite liked this tea and enjoyed the black tea base, but the passionfruit was a bit perfume-y for me. Brewed for 4 minutes with a packet of Splenda.

★★★★☆

This wouldn't be my personal go-to, but it does make a nice iced tea! I do wish that the passionfruit flavor was stronger - I was worried that I hadn't steeped it for long enough (I was afraid of oversteeping!), but looking at other reviews, it seems that this tea just simply doesn't have the strongest of flavors. Regardless, it was nice to try an iced Ceylon for once!

★★★☆☆

The aroma certainly is interesting, but I can't taste anything except the black tea and sweetener didn't help much. Ill have to cold brew it next time

The packet has an enjoyable fruity aroma. I cold brewed it for about 7 hours and it had a wonderful fruity flavor. ( I don’t know passion fruit so I don’t know if that’s it or not.

CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 212 F. I normally don't like Ceylon based teas, but this one wasn't bad. It was less bitter, less astringent, it was fine. I do wish I got more passion fruit flavor, especially some more tartness, but there is definitely some tropical fruity flavor in there. There was a very weird smell though, kind of like burnt wax or maybe some kind of cheese? I didn't taste anything weird, and in my second infusion, there were no issues.

I'm torn, I want more fruitiness for a fruit named.tea... but it's a decent black with some, underlying fruityness hidden in there, somewhere.

July 21, '25 ... I really have grown to like today's tea in blends. Therefore, since that I have grown to love it--it's a 5 stars from me, now!

Aug 23rd, '23~ Sailing the 'Meh' mast on today's cuppa. ((I brewed @ 195° for 3 mins and then Iced.)) This tea does need an enhancer of some kind of sweetener to pop the flavor experience. I mean, I'm enjoying an iced cup this morn, but this is a tea that I would moreso enjoy in a blend. And, also, yes--its fine, as a once a year imbibement in CommuniTEA as Tea 0' the day...but not something I need a satchel of in my stash.

This one was really conflicting for me. I absolutely loved the passion fruit flavoring in it. I just wish it would have had a keemun base or something other than Ceylon. I think it could even work as a blended base with Ceylon and Assam as well. Ceylon base for me is sometimes just too bold. Had cup today with nothing added. 212° 3 min

This was 'good'. It was unremarkable, really. It didn't scream passionfruit, but was a nice semi-fruity black tea. Easy drinking and I kind of 'forgot' about it while consuming because it just wasn't very exciting.

I didn't really like it very much but I also didnt l hate it. It wasn't something I would go out of my way for but it was ok as far as a tea goes. Nothing about it really popped for me just kind of went oh this is tea.

I expected a stronger passionfruit flavor, but this was a plain black tea with passionfruit and floral notes.

It tastes floral but I'm not sure I taste the passionfruit. It looks like a quality black tea though. I get it for family members who like flavored teas.

I'm always trying to figure out if I like mango, papaya or passionfruit the most and I think it has to be passionfruit. I put less than a teaspoon of sugar in my cup, but I think I might bump it up to see if it brings out the fruit flavor a bit more.

I wanted so badly to like this, because I love passionfruit, but the passionfruit flavor was barely there.

This is a great iced tea, but I do wish it had a bit more passionfruit flavor. I have to use more tea to get a flavorful cup than I do for others, like the orange.

I cold brewed this for three hours at room temperature and it turned out really well; there was no bitterness and it had a nice fruity flavor. Unfortunately though, it was just a generic fruit flavor and not really discernible as passion fruit. I may get this again sometime, but it wouldn’t be my top choice.

I really like the subtle fruitiness. It was kinda light tasting, but I ended up getting more flavor after I let it get cold

I cold brewed this based on other reviews. It was a nice light amber brown. It seemed to keep it's passion fruit essence, which was light. Sweetener is almost a must to really enjoy what this tea has to offer. Overall, it didn't wow me.

I really like passionfruit, so I was hopeful that I'd like this tea. Unfortunately, I found the black tea to be too bitter and that distracted from the passionfruit flavor. Once the tea cooled the passionfruit flavor was stronger. Perhaps I would like this tea better as a cold brew iced tea.

This had a noticeable bitterness on the first sip followed by a light fruitiness. Maybe that's just the way passionfruit tastes? I don't know. I tried it iced and the bitterness wasn't as pronounced but the fruit taste wasn't as pronounced either. I'm glad Adagio does samples so I can try before I commit to a full pouch. Steeped for 3 min. with boiling water.

I got this as a summer tea; however, it's a bit more cozy while I was expecting something a bit more tart.

I first decided to try this tea when Yogi discontinued their Passion fruit green tea. I absolutely loved that tea and wanted to find a similar tasting tea. This passion fruit black tea was the closet thing, so I purchased a pound of it. When this tea first arrived and I opened the bag to smell it, boy was I disappointed. It smelled like the fruit had started fermenting in the bag it had an almost alcoholic smell. I figured it was probably the passion fruit bits. I made a cup and eww...I really didn't like it. Mind you, I'm just starting to explore flavored teas. I was adamantly against flavored teas because I believed they took away from the subtle flavors of the tea itself. I suppose that's the point of flavored tea but now I had this pound of tea I didn't like. So I did what any frugal person would do, drink it anyways because you paid for it.🤷‍♂️

But let me tell you my friends, this tea grew on me! I began to love the flavor, the aroma and the fragrant Passion fruit flavors. I like it so much that I purchased another pound of it because I'm down to my last brew. This tea has given me the courage to try other flavored teas, so I ordered a few sample packets of Delicious fruit flavored tea.

I'm glad I stuck with this one because I really do love ❤️ it now. I just have to figure out how to make this into a green tea version in the custom tea creator🤤

The aroma of this blend is captivating, with a tropical and refreshing scent that uplifts your mood. The flavor is equally satisfying, the black tea base provides a smooth and rich taste, while the apple pieces add a touch of sweetness and freshness. The passionfruit is the star of the show, giving this blend a tangy and exotic twist that will make you feel like you are sipping on a cocktail by the beach. The marigold flowers add a splash of color and a subtle floral note that complements the other ingredients.

Passionfruit is generally my go-to base flavor anytime I order a bubble (boba) tea. On its own, this tea doesn't fully satisfy my tastebuds. However, when I blend it together with orange black tea, the two flavors complement each other so well that I would continue to order this. I've enjoyed my passionfruit/orange blend both hot and iced, with and without boba. :)

Not the most flavorful tea, barely tasted as tropical as a mango or a coconut. For a tropical tea, I would expect more.

Original review 9/7/22: I was prepared to not like this tea. But 'Meh... passionfruit' turned into an appreciative 'Huh! Passionfruit!' I've never liked its flavour in other things, but it melded nicely with the Ceylon tea. I steeped for 2.5 minutes at 200° and it was still a touch bitter, though, so I agree with other reviewers that it might benefit from a lower temperature.

Updated: I cold-steeped it this time, and I still like it way more than I thought I would! I'm still surprised at how well the passionfruit and ceylon complement each other. I was fine without sweetener in it, but it would certainly enhance the flavour.

10 oz, 3 mins @ 195* F, divided. Sweetener in both, cream in hot.

Hot
This was a very mild flavored tea and quite enjoyable.

Cold
This is a perfectly fine tea. It's fruity and slightly floral, yet delicate in flavor. I prefer my teas a bit stronger in flavor than this one. It was still a nice sip and I wouldn't hesitate to drink it again or blend with it.

Oh dear. Without sweetener, this is extremely floral, with a taste like bitter perfume. It could be my dislike for the flavor compounds in tropical fruits; if you're sensitive to those, I'd give this a pass. (That said, if you love them, this tea will deliver...!)

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with sweet aromas of passionfruit. I steeped the tea for 3 minutes. The passionfruit flavor is delicious and is nicely supported by the black tea. This is a delicious tropical tea!

It says passion fruit but i was getting cherry notes. A little bitter black tea improved with honey as it brought out more Fruit flavor. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA November box.
Update much better this time around, lessened the steep time. Quite enjoyable. No cherry notes this time.
