The scent of mango was strong from the CommuniTea packet. This scent lingered after brewing until the tea started to cool. Warm, this tea was mango with a nice backbone of black tea. As it cooled,it became increasingly bitter. I must not have had the right balance of time and temp for this one. If you can live without the caffeine, I would recommend the decaf version which has the same flavor without the bitterness.

This tea was great. I brewed as directed and it was full of flavor. Added a little sweetener. This would be a great morning tea to kick start your day, very satisfying.

Super yummy iced tea! I cold brewed and added a bit of sweetener. Definitely one I’d purchase for summer.

I enjoy black teas over ice in the summer and this one works very well. A little bit of sweetner brings out the subtle flavor of this gentle mango.

Today's CommuniTea is just a bit meh for me on its own. Not as sweet on its own as I'd imagine with fruitiness to it.

Fresh tropical mango scents floated out of today's packet. An abbreviated black tea steep for 3 minutes at 212°F created a rich mahogany colored tea.
Mango aroma and flavor pervaded the rising steam from the cup. A mellow fruity mango flavor mingled with the brisk Ceylon black tea. Some pungent flower petal notes added some almost zesty hints of flavor to the cup. Could it be that the marigold petals are more of a major flavor component in this mango tea? It certainly seems to be the case.
As most tropical and fruity black teas go, this one's quite enjoyable. The bold and brisk black tea plus the zesty marigold petals gives this the added strength it needs to hold up to adding ice for a summertime treat.

I liked this but I am not sure I would reach for it often unless I was making iced tea. The tea itself is nice and the mango flavor balances well with it. I slightly dislike something about the scent of this tea as it reminds me of a flower I dislike. This would make a fabulous iced tea, especially if accented with tropical fruit and edible flowers.

Nice tea with a nice mango flavor to it. Mango rooibos is a good non caffeinated option too

This tea is pleasant enough with careful brewing. Mango is such a gentle flavor that I find it best complemented with a lighter tea base. Ceylon tea, I find, is too bold and brisk with cocoa notes to allow the mango taste to truly shine. I felt the same way about the chilled portion I put in the fridge to try cold. A mango taste was there but the Ceylon asserted itself to be the main flavor. I love mango and I love black tea but a partnership of the two did not work for me.
My Ct packet had all ingredients including a nice helping of mango pieces. I brewed 3 g./ 2 tsp. of the very aromatic tea at 200*F for 3 min. in a 16 oz. mug. The medium brown liquor had no bitterness, just an acceptable amount of astringency for a nice black tea with a much gentler fruity scent than that of the dry tea. A resteep of 8 oz. for 3:30 min. featured more the Ceylon taste and a whisper of mango making it a one steeper for a truly fruity flavor. My sample bag of Mango will be the perfect amount to sip and enjoy with the amount I have left.

This is good, probably one of the best flavored teas from Adagio I've tasted so far. It's not super mango-y but the mango taste and sweetness is there. I'm on my second steep with a pinch of stevia to cut the bitterness (I tried brewing at a lower temp like someone on here suggested, and it helped. I think I just really prefer green teas to black!)

This was a lovely surprise! I haven’t really leaned into any of the mango teas we’ve tried with the communiTEA. This is the first I really felt tasted like identifiable mango. Steeping at 195 for three minutes kept the astringency of the black down and let the fruit shine

I absolutely love mango. This tea is nice, with fruity notes.

Mango is one of my favourite fruits. I barely tasted any mango and upon inspection had just one mango piece in my package. :(. Even steeping it longer didn't give much more flavour unfortunately. I think this would have been fantastic if I had gotten a more balanced package.

This is a little better than most of flavored ceylon teas. I will still have mango mate in my cabinet but would consider buying this one if mango mate ever becomes unavailable during a summertime.

This is a lovely, full flavored mango Ceylon. It is smooth, with no bitterness and the mango flavor blends nicely with the Ceylon. Neither flavor overpowers each other.

I enjoyed this black tea. I brewed at 195 for 3 minutes. Wish it had more mango flavor though. I didn't detect much fruit flavor hot or when it cooled.

Flavored blacks are always hit and miss for me. This one is good but I wanted even more of the mango! Sweetener helped brighten the cup and make it a more enjoyable sip. I still think Strawberry is my absolute favorite of the 'fruity black' teas. This is a nice cup for people who like a little flair with their traditional Ceylon.
Happy Sipping!

CommuniTEA Sample: A very nice black tea with some mango flavor. When hot, the mango is more on the back end of the taste, but moves more forward as it cools. A very nice, fruity tea.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: scents of ripe mango fruit on the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F (to minimize tannins), I notice a honey-mango and slightly floral fragrance from my cup. When I take a sip, I get ripe mango flavors followed by a very dry and quite astringent ceylon tea finish.

28 Aug 21 note: I would suggest steeping this at 190°F to help lower Ceylon black tea bitterness.
27 Aug 2020 review: Since I had mango last night with dinner, my tongue was ready and primed for tea tasting this morning! Plenty of mango pieces, tea and marigold petals were noted in the bag. Sweet mango aromas were also noted. So far, so good. When hot, mango tastes were mild with marigold floral notes in the background. When warm, typically bold and brisk Ceylon black tea tastes were forward along with mild tannins noted in background. Mango flavors were weak at this point and all the way to finish. The marigold seemed to be the main player throughout with strong floral and somewhat spicy flavors left on my palate. As a note, I always steep Ceylon black flavored teas the same with favorable results. Unfortunately, this time the mango was overpowered and didn’t have a chance to shine. (4 mins @ 200°F, 1/4 tsp sugar)

There’s not a ton of fruit flavor, but it’s big of caffeine and that will have you going all day. I steeped mine at three minutes.

This is a solid black tea with a delicious mango flavor. I cold steeped this one, and preferred it without sweetener. The slight astringency of the tea compliments the juicy mango perfectly!

Nice fruity aroma and flavors in this tea. Brewed at a lower temperature the tea has lots of flavor, moderate astringency and just a hint of bitterness to give it character. The mango flavor is juicy and a little tart and a little sweet. Bet it would be great iced!

This is a nice, lightly flavored mango black tea that I enjoyed very much. I brewed this at a lower temperature so I wouldn't get the bitterness,195°F for 3 minutes.

NIce lightly sweet cup of tea. The mango flavor is there but blends perfectly with the black tea, rather than being overpoweringly sweet. I cut down brewing time on this one -- 212F, 2 minutes as Ceylon can brew up pretty strong. No bitterness. Smooth, sweet and enjoyable...until a moth flew into my cup and I had to pour it out and clean my CommuniTea cup. It was great while it lasted! Darn bug!

I had an iced mango tea at a restaurant nearby and was looking for one that would compare. I'm pretty sure they use this same tea, or at least one with the same ingredients, because it is exactly what I was looking for!

I love all things mango, but unfortunately this tea is undrinkable for me. It isn’t horrible when mixed with other teas though (I like mixing 2 parts Peach tea with 1 part Mango).
