Even though I let this steep longer than the recommended 3 minutes by mistake, the flavor was tea was strong but still good and would buy again. And the aroma!
Brisk Ceylon tea with fresh lemon. Bright and sweet like Meyer lemons, with a crisp mouthfeel and refreshing finish.

UPDATED 8-29-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Lemon Soleil. I have had this tea previously and positively did not like it. I even tried dressing it up with mango, orange peels, raspberry leaves, strawberry, and black tea honey but even that did not work for me. However, today, I discovered that if I add an extra large helping of black tea honey by itself, it cuts through a lot of the undesirable taste of this tea and makes it good. For this reason, I have upgraded my review to 2 stars; however, I would only recommend this tea with an extra helping of honey to get through it.
ORIGINAL: I brewed Lemon Soleil today with just a dash of lemon balm and plenty of garden herbal honey. Unfortunately, not only did it taste like lemon cleaning liquid, it smelled like it too. I am not sure if I got a bad bag or if it really needs to be at boiling temperature when brewed or what, but this is not at all a tea I would recommend. I did not enjoy it at all.
Wow! This tea smells exactly like tea with lemon…which I suppose it is. The lemon is a nice complement to the Ceylon base and comes through clearly without tasting artificial. A touch of honey helps smooth the brew. In a second steep, the lemon is less pronounced but still present.
I remember my mother serving hot tea with a squirt of bottled lemon juice, and this tea reminds me very much of that. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the walk down memory lane, I could get the same effect by adding a squeeze of lemon to a cup of black tea. Similar to eating at a restaurant, I’d rather order something I’m unlikely to make at home. (3-4 minutes @ 212F)
CommuniTEA portion: Cold steeped overnight. Enjoyable bold black with subtle lemon notes. I would have liked a little stronger lemon, but it was still quite enjoyable.
Wow! Brisk, bold black lemon Sunshine! Dry leaf aroma smells like sweet lemon candy. I slightly over brewed my cup and it’s a tad astringent. Added sweetener and it brought forward the lemon. As it cooled the astringency lightened. Eventually I poured this over ice and enjoyed it with lunch. The aftertaste and aroma are both lemony and extremely delightful. Had the astringency not occurred, after just a minute too long brewing, i would have given this blend 5 stars.
This is a delicious, light lemon tea that reminds me a little of the lemon lollipops you find at the bank. I do wish the lemon was a little stronger, but adding a tiny bit of vanilla syrup did enhance what was there. One reviewer mentioned adding lemon zest to the steep which I think would make this superb, or maybe lemon zest-infused sugar!
This is a great tea, esp with a little honey. Good both cold and warm brewed. Would recommend, esp for lemon fans.
This is a really nice lemon black tea, pretty basic but it's simplicity is what makes it work. This would be great as a sweetened iced tea. The lemon flavor is not artificial at all, and not overpowering either. 3 mins @ 195°F
Not bad but the lemon is not as strong as I would have hoped for. Not much of a wow factor compared to Adagio's other flavored teas. Seems similar to other lemon teas. A bit astringent. Happy enough with just the Communi-tea packet.
This is a nice, enjoyable lemon tea. It has much more lemon flavor on its first steep.
A yummy black tea, dessert-ish, lemon-y sunshine without that bitterness kick that límon can bring, just sweet! Though, not something I would need a stash of ..but really enjoyed this as a tea of the day in CommuniTEA! (Added 1 tsp Florida Crystal Sugar & Steeped 3 mins @ 212°) 🍋🌅
Time to SQUEEZE the day!
The ZEST times are on the way!
Lemon-know your plans!
A lemony cup
Packing all that citrus punch
For a knockout tea!
(Haiku Review)
This brews up into a lovely lemon-scented cup. The tea is flavorful and not bitter. The lemon flavor is more like a Meyer lemon as it doesn't have the tartness of regular lemon juice. It's smoother and less acidic, almost sweet. If you like lemon flavor without the tart, tanginess, this is the tea for you.
Excellent blend. Ten out of ten would drink again.
A simple unpretentious black tea…mellow lemon so I recommend adding a lemon wedge to enhance the city’s notes.
Lovely lemon and so delightful with milk and sugar!
UPDATED from 8/24/20: There is a wonderfully lemon aroma emitting from the CommuniTEA packet. It steeps at a slightly lower temp to avoid bitterness. This black tea has a MILD lemon flavor, so if you are looking for a strong Lemony zest, you will be disappointed. That said, adding sweetener and heavy whipping cream makes this tea better tasting for me. Not sure if it was the ceylon or what, but it was not for me. It steeps well a second time and is good over ice. Adagio has so many great teas, I will probably pass on this one. (3 mins @200ºF)
This tea is just okay. The Ceylon tea overpowers they lemon. I would have been much happier with lemon peels included instead of just natural lemon flavoring.
Reminds me of the popular lemon tea you can get at big box stores. Quite tasty and not overpowering.
A very pleasant lemon flavor, it isn't too tart and it is very nice cold brewed. (Cold brewed for 10 hours)
The flavor is great alone, but use this in my 'crazy teas', where I mix many flavors together to find that perfect mix.
It's alright - it rang a little one-note, and I wish it were more full-bodied, but I enjoyed it.
love to add a teaspoon to my peppermint tea nice pick me up.
This makes one of the most excellent iced teas! The lemon really pops, and gives just the right astringency and brightness!
I think this might be one of my new favorite morning teas. The lemon works well to give the tea brightness, but it somehow also has a very mild vanilla flavor that helps to prevent it from too astringent. I usually need at least some sugar with my black tea, but I drank this straight!
And as with all of the teas I've gotten from adagio, it re-steeped quite well.
I was able to steep it two more times: once for 5 minutes, and then for 7 minutes, and still have a well rounded, full bodied tea. Definitely getting more of this.
Love this tea! I always add lemon to my black tea. With this tea, no need, just honey. Will purchase again.
This really tastes like you just squeezed a little bit of lemon juice into your cup! A bright lemon flavor, but not a very strong one though. This is perfect for somebody who just wants something gentle to sip
Very subtle lemon flavor. I have tried it several times and there is just not enough lemon.
I love this tea. It has a wonderful crisp summer flavor.
The flavor of this tea is very black tea forward with just a faint hint of lemon, I found the combination to be somewhat bitter when brewing hot. I found this tea infinitely better when cold brewed, this removed the bitter flavor and adding sweater brings the lemon more to the forefront.
Everyone raves about lemon in tea and I love adagio's rooibos lemon cloud so I figured I should give this a try next. I should've gone with my gut an avoided it as even sugary lemonade is too sour for me. This was just way too bitter, and not the black tea, just from the lemon. I bumped this up to 3 stars as I tried it again after dumping a ton of honey in it and it was more pleasant, but I'll just stick to the 'cloud' version.
The lemon is pretty light here which I think a lot of people will find pleasant. I generally like a lot of lemon flavor so it would be pretty hard to have too much for me. I did have this hot with some oat milk and it was lovely, though I do think it would be a fantastic iced tea for summer - No need to keep extra lemons on hand!
A nice, clean flavor for when you want something more than black tea but don't want to add sugar and cream.
I enjoyed Lemon Soleil, but wish it packed a bit more lemon zing. No worries, I can add some chopped lemon peels from my Selefina spice sample or a squeeze of fresh lemon to up the ante. I steeped at a lower temperature to avoid bitterness. It makes for a nice, bright cup of black tea perfect for spring and summer mornings. Sip, sip away!
This is a good tea to try if you like earl greys and want to drink something similar but not too similar
A decent black tea with a hint of lemon flavor, but I do wish the lemon was more pronounced as the Ceylon takes over and sort of overpowers it. I find that to be the case with a lot of fruity black teas. But it still is nice brewed hot or iced.
This is a pretty good lemon black tea. It tastes like you squeezed some lemon into some black tea. I added a little vanilla sugar to bring out the lemon flavor more. And it's delicious iced.
I mean it’s good but the lemon flavor is not strong enough. Maybe put dried lemon pieces or peels in the tea itself?
This is a fabulous light weight hot tea great for anytime of the day! @adagioteas
This is such a great tea for a spring morning! It really tastes exactly like you squeezed some lemon into Earl Grey, without the mess of getting lemon juice all over your fingers. I might mix this with some of my other black teas to get a little lemon flavor.
We mix this with our English Breakfast in an ice tea pitcher to create a lemony breakfast iced tea and it has been great for it.
First that wonderful lemon peel smell hit me when I opened the bag. The lemon was not over powering. Loved every sip of it. Perfect after a long day.
This is a good tea, not as lemony as I expected though.
A good tea, and if you like lemon with your tea then this is for you. Traditionally, I don't care for lemon in my tea, but in spite of that it still is good.
Lemon forward in scent. Taste is not as natural as I'd like. It's not too tart but it's a tight citrus that doesn't feel as smooth as some of my favorite fruity Adagio blends. It's fine but not a favorite. (Though I love the name.) Will try it iced to see if that improves the finish.
At first this tea doesn't give off very much lemon, but it does give off a citrusy herbally note. When you let it cool oh, and add a little bit of honey, it's just as though you added fresh lemon juice to a cup of black tea. But be careful for letting it steep too long, any longer than 5 minutes and it gets really bitter as though you put lemon rind in the tea... Eight out of 10, would enjoy iced but only have tried it warm
Really tastes and smells like lemon, best combined with the cream tea
This one was fine. Pretty similar to any other lemon tea out there. Not quite worth the money to buy again. @adagioteas
This tea has a nice lemon flavor that is nice and light. I like The lemon flavor with the richness of the black tea.
I love lemon flavor and this is a nice tea, just a little light on the lemon. I brewed at a lower temperature than recommended and the Ceylon was nice. I also tried the tea cold brewed and iced and I think that is the way I would prefer to enjoy this tea.
