I loved the sample pack I bought and then got on the list to order a larger pack when it became available. While the larger pack was still good, it was not as lemony as the sample pack, so I was a little disappointed.
Brisk Ceylon tea with fresh lemon. Bright and sweet like Meyer lemons, with a crisp mouthfeel and refreshing finish.

This tea smells so lemony, I love it! I went into this thinking it might be similar to an Earl Grey but it's a delightful flavor profile all of it's own. I brewed this very strong and added a splash of unsweetened soymilk to cut some of the acidity/tannins. It still tasted lemony and slightly sweet which was great. I'm sure with some sweetener the flavor would be even more pronounced but I found that it was quite delicious without adding sugar/honey.
Not bad, but just ok, not enough of a lemon taste for me.
I have revised my opinion of this. Glad its back in stock!
Edit: April '26, after several months of out of stock, it finally returned to in stock, but the flavor is entirely different. It no longer has the taste of lemons, instead it now tastes like they use orange peel or changed the base tea. After contacting customer support, I was told they hadn't changed their formula (although something is definitely different), that they hadn't received any other complaints about this tea, and that this current batch will be in stock for at least a year.
I’m really disappointed. This used to be my favorite breakfast tea. I have been eagerly waiting for it to be restocked for months. After finally coming back in stock, the flavor is now completely different (despite no changes to the ingredient list). Very artificial tasting instead of the light, refreshing flavor I loved.
Pretty good overall. Subtle flavor. Nice smell too!
When steeped at 212 for 3 minutes, the taste is light and refreshing. I often allow my teas to steep longer for depth. No bitterness after a long steep and allowing it to cool.
I don't usually add lemon or milk to my tea, so this is a pleasant departure from my normal tea. It's a light flavor that's nice but I'd rather stick with unflavored.
Very rich tea with a lemon zest just the perfect amount of lemon flavor enjoyed in the afternoon at around 208° f for about 2 minutes
it smells like lemon drop candy.
The Marigold flowers are dandy.
I like it hot.
But others might not.
And to keep this around would be handy.
This is exactly what I was looking for in a lemon tea. It is nice and fresh and light and refreshing. I would buy again.
Light refreshing lemon pick me up, but I love anything lemon. Needs a bit longer to brew to bring out a good full body lemon for me.
Hot it was better. The tea was balanced, left a lemony tang.
Once iced it went from summery lemon to artificial iced tea from a soda dispenser.
The combination of the black tea and the icing like lemon flavor is great! I gave it only 4 stars because even with cold brewing, I found it oversteeps easily
Classic. I like to mix this one with other citrus flavors.
This tea had mixed reviews for our household; those who liked it enjoyed that it was more of a dried lemon peel/zest than a bright lemon flavor. But that very distinction made the rea fall flat for other members. If youre looking for an Arnold Palmer this might be weird but if you can enjoy a peel vibe go for it!
Very solid black tea base, with a light lemon flavor. The smell of lemon is much stronger then the taste, but still enjoyable.
Not to tart even good as a cold tea, very refreshing. Would definitely get again and recommend for anyone who's thinking about it
A yummy and refreshing cup when I’m looking for citrus but not too sour or bitter.
Wow, what a great taste. I like this one as my afternoon tea.
The lemon in this tea is very noticeable and refreshing. I stick to a shorter brewing time for this one; otherwise, the taste can be a little overwhelming.
I agree with a lot of the reviews I read, the lemon flavor could have been stronger, still strong enough for a great sip if you like lemon
It is ok. It is lemon tea. Nothing to write home about or feel the need to purchase. 212F for three minutes.
Usually, I like lemon tea but this blend is super bitter. I was optimistic by the sent out of the pouch. I followed the brewing instructions and this was an unpleasant cup of bitter, perhaps I oversteeped? The black tea overwhelmed any hint of lemon.
I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA August box.
Todays sample was much better
Update 2025 much improved on steeping abilities love this tea now.
Black tea and lemon is a family favorite tea drinking experience. Adagio s Lemon Soleil doesn't disappoint however I love more lemon iny tea than I had iny cup today. This would be lovely iced.
The scent of the dried tea reminded me of lemon dish detergent. Brewed for the recommended 3 minutes, the lemon taste was closer to actual lemon, but the tea base became rather bitter. I’m wondering if a shorter brew might do it more justice.
The leaves smell like a lemon drop. The brew is lemony and bright. Not quite a lady earl grey as the tea blend is stronger, but still lovely.
Tried this as CT sample. It wasn't bad and I drank it hot. I do believe this would taste better iced and would be happy to try it again that way if I ever run across another sample. As for in my hot cup it was mellow lemon fo my taste. I actually preferred the citrus mate to this. I did have to add sweetener to this and I usually try not to add anything. Overall I probably won't purchase, but would not turn it down either. Just a middle of the road tea. It may be good to blend, but I wonder if stronger flavors would steamroll the lemon to nonexistence. 212° 4 min
Strong celyon flavor, good lemon scent... but barely notable to taste. Added a squeeze of lemon to the second steep for improvement.
Sweet lemon drops! Steeped the advised time, it does have a subtle bitterness, but a splash of milk fixes it right up. Adding some to my cart now!
Apr ‘25 I really am loving it this times so lemony! But not fake and not too strong. Nice simple classic.
this is very nice, i love lemon and it's a 'nice brisk ceylon' as described, no bitterness.i found I needed to sweeten it a lot to bring out the flavor but maybe because I was eating something salty beforehand. it's nice. i can see it making a good iced tea for sure.
Update: Chilling the tea unfortunately made it taste overwhelmingly artificial, it seems the heat hid the awkward flavor. ):
Oh goodness, this was quite lovely! You are immediately greeted with lemon upon opening and I felt it had just enough lemon when sampling it hot. It was enhanced with just a touch of honey, and if I had a spare lemon handy that would have been even better! While it’s not something I would order myself simply because I try to avoid high caffiene teas, I was delighted to sample a cup with the communitea today. And I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of it iced with lunch later!
CommuniTEA sample, 3 min @ 195 F, 2g of crystal rock sugar added: I liked this tea a lot more than I thought I would. I've had it in the past, and at 212, it's too bitter. I found that the flavor when steeped at 195 was very weak, and just felt like generic black tea with some sugar and lemon added. It's not super strong in lemon flavor, although it does smell very strongly of lemon. Still, it was much better than I expected or remembered, so I’d continue to prepare it this way in the future. I found it generally very refreshing, although I did have a bit of dryness on the back of my tongue after each sip.
I like putting lemon in my tea, so I’m surprised I didn’t love this tea. I like it, I’d drink it again, but the lemon flavor isn’t quite the same as fresh. I think I’m also not a huge fan of the slight marigold flavor. Decent tea for sure, just not my favorite.
I was hoping for something that tasted creamier or sweeter, like one I've had at a local tea shop. This was lacking. It's better to just squeeze lemon into black tea.
this is one of THE MOST refreshing teas ive ever had!! smells DIVINE, it's not a sharp lemon smell like i was expecting. it's rounder, almost creamy. that being said, i did not use any cream or milk when i had it, but i think i'll try that next time.
I love lemon in my tea and this is a perfect one for me
Excellent tea, but the lemon is a bit too strong for me personally
A pretty decent lemon tea. The lemon is not weak but yet not so strong that you can not handle it either. It has a nice zest, which was greatly appreciated. Truly enjoyed, esp. by the teenager in the family.
Right out of the bag it smells like fresh baked lemon bread. The tea has a nice flavor to it that's subtle with the classic black tea overtones.
So far, my favorite blend on Adagio! This lil lady is bright, sunny, and very chatty...but you don't mind, because you are seduced by what she's saying. It's one of the few teas that tastes nearly exactly like it smells, and dang doe sit smell good! If you like that other brand's Lemon Lift, then you'll like this. Lemon Lift has pictures of Lemon Soleil on it's walls, and aspires to one day be as regal.
This tea is simple but sweet. I have not tried a lemon tea before and really enjoyed this one. It' like a lemon splash in your tea.
This has such a wonderful lemon scent. For flavor, it definitely needs something. I've tried it different times with honey and granulated sugar. It's good, just not my favorite. I think I prefer it with a bit of milk.
This is my daily drinker. I love it hot or cold. It's a nice black tea with the classic lemon twist.
A little lemon in the aroma, very little in the flavor. Needs to have more lemon flavor to qualify as a 'lemon' tea for me. However, as a generic black tea it's quite nice.
Lemon Soleil tea, a ray of light in a cup,
Bright citrus notes to wake me up,
Refreshing and soothing, a perfect blend,
In every sip, a little slice of heaven to transcend.
My husband loves lemon tea and this is one of the more lemon forward ones on the market.
I didn’t care for this tea. The lemon overwhelmed. The tea hand the only thing I really tasted was the lemon flavor
