I think my expectations were a little too high. In general I found this tea to be disappointing. I love hazelnut but the flavor didn't come through enough for me.
Ceylon tea with cozy, creamy hazelnuts. Aromatic, slightly roasted with a rounded, sweet flavor and toasty dryness.

I think my expectations were a little too high. In general I found this tea to be disappointing. I love hazelnut but the flavor didn't come through enough for me.
This tea was awesome. I loved it! The hazelnut flavour stood out perfectly and I think it's one of the better flavoured stand alone tea. I can not wait to try blending this with others!
If you like hazelnut you'll like this tea. It doesn't taste artificial at all, just warm, nutty, and delicious.
Not bad for a flavor. Chose this as my add-on instead of peppermint or spearmint this time, and I was actually impressed. While not bad on it's own I feel it adds some great additional hazelnut flavor to my more complex blacks. I would make sure to watch your brew time though.
I have always loved the Hazelnut, but my last order I ended up returning two packages. Tasted like straw
Hazelnut is very good for a flavored tea. I like it mixed with coconut.
Not the worst tea I've had, but not the best. Definitely a good option for a free sample
I wasn't really crazy about this flavor when I first tried it, but coming back to it a year or so later, I find that it's grown on me. Maybe my palate is developing? Anyway, this is a delicious tea - truly hazelnut in flavor, without many hints of chocolate. (I'm starting to think that when I first tried this, I was hoping for a drinkable version of Nutella.) I'm excited to blend this with some other teas and discover some exciting new flavors - but by itself, this makes for a wonderful morning or after-lunch drink.
Good to mix with my chocolate teas for a different taste.
Interesting, still not sure if it on my favorite list yet. Use it as a blending tea.
Possibly my favorite tea from the site--the nutty scent is nicely balanced.
One of the best teas on this site. Maybe I'm just biased towards nutty teas, but you should definitely try it, though the Pu Erh Hazelberry is better.
My expectations for this tea were high after tasting the chestnut tea, but I was sorely disappointed. It had an artificial smell, not much like hazelnut. And the taste was coffee-like, and as I've never acquired a coffee taste, I was turned off by it.
This is my favorite tea-- It has a smokey flavor that's really special as iced tea. Love it!
This may be my new favorite tea ever. I miss hazelnut coffee, but this may just be a great replacement.
I love tea with a nutty taste and this one really is a good one.
It was hazelnut water plus tea- pretty tasty, but not what I had expected. Needed milk and sugar.
The hazelnut flavor is great! Not overwhelming. Very light.
This tea wasn't quite as nutty as I was hoping. A little bland. However, bland is better than a strong ARTIFICIAL flavor taste, anyway. I will definitely drink the amount of tea I have, but it isn't one I'd order again. For nutty teas by adagio I prefer the almond and the chestnut. :)
Great nutty flavor. This is one of my new favorite flavors. I am enjoying Adagio teas better than Teavana.
Great morning tea. Has a very nutty taste, must be in to that.
This is one of my new favorite teas! Perfect balance between black tea and hazelnut.
This was especially good mixed with the chocolate tea.
I was not blown away by this flavor, but I didn't think it was bad, either. I was afraid the hazelnut flavor would be too strong, more like coffee, but it's pretty delicate. It tastes good with sweetener and cream, but I also enjoyed it with just a pinch of loose leaf cream-flavored tea.
Too much maple. It tasted fake. I couldn't taste the hazelnut.
This smells incredible when brewing. I have learned that I just don't enjoy flavored teas (thanks to the wonderful 'Sample' size Adagio offers. This is definitely a strong hazelnut flavor, and I prefer to have the 'tea' taste come through in my tea.
Nutty flavor was very strong - if you really love hazelnut, you may like this one. turned out to be not my thing.
Another favorite tea! I love this - if you like the chestnut tea, you'll love this. Very nice tasting without needing honey or additional sweetening, I found. A really pleasant tea - something I'll be ordering more of!
Amazing on its own or with some vanilla and/or chocolate.
Thought this would be like the hazelnut milk tea I get at my favorite downtown tea shops. It has a very artificial smell and earthy tone to it that was not pleasant. couldn't finish first cup.
One of the best teas I've ordered from Adagio. I tried a sample awhile back, but enjoyed it so much I ordered a bigger bag a week later! It's quickly become a fave.
Reminds me a good hazelnut coffee, but the hazelnut flavor is actually a bit more heightened. I usually a little milk or cream to mine. Doesn't need too much sweetener as it's already a fairly sweet tea.
Very nice. Exactly what you would expect a hazelnut tea to taste like.
This review will be very much like the one I wrote for the Chestnut tea. I go back and forth on which one I prefer. I've been drinking this tea for several months now, and I've revised my opinion upward, from good to great. It's smooth, has a very good hazelnut flavor, is fairly full-bodied, and is not very tannic at all. The bitter snap at the finish of this tea is very agreeable to me, as it mimics the actual experience of eating hazelnuts. To get the depth of aroma and flavor I want, I use two very rounded teaspoons per 8 oz. cup. I strongly recommend trying this to experience the full potential of this tea. I've experimented with different temperatures and brewing times, and 4-5 minutes, 200 degrees is what I've settled on. I've found that if one goes up to a full boil, noticeably more tannins will be released.
Smooth creamy hazelnut flavour with a hint of a roast flavour!
Great on a fall or winter day, or with a cinnamon sweet treat!
Very very excellent flavored tea, will purchase again many times.
My all-time favorite. I local tea shop offers Hazelnut tea and I finally found out where they purchase it from!
The tea is okay on its own but I use it a lot for mixing. I add it to the Honeybush Hazelnut to amp up the flavor and it's really good mixed with a little cream tea.
Good hazelnut flavor. After trying pu erh i dont know if black tea will ever be as good.
Nutty and delicious. I'm excited to try mixing it with a fruit flavor for contrast.
The aroma is definitely fantastic, but the tea itself is a little bland, unless you mix it with something else. I mix it with some vanilla, and that seems to bring out the nutty sweetness.
This is honestly one of my favorite flavors of tea, it's rich in flavor and with just a small splash of milk it's just perfect!
My boyfriend greatly enjoyed this one - I've been told to order more!
Mixed 50/50 with vanilla, so yummy. Hubby thought I was drinking coffee.
Not very hazelnutty. Just tasted like black tea with some odd astringency/bitterness to it. A little disappointed.
Very smooth flavor. One of my favorites so far. Flavor is really enhanced after adding a teaspoon of sugar.
This is, by far, my favorite Adagio branded tea. I can't drink enough of it. Reorder often.
I like this one for a dessert tea with cookies or cheesecake. It's really awesome with cheesecake.
A nicely balanced, nutty cup. Great in the morning.
I love this tea for the rich hazelnut flavor s it replaced my mroning coffee.
great flavor! enjoy after dinner at the end of the day
