This grapefruit is really bitter. It pairs okay with lemongrass, which gives it some points back.
A wake-up call to the senses! Invigorating grapefruit flavor with tangy, citrusy Ceylon black tea.

This grapefruit is really bitter. It pairs okay with lemongrass, which gives it some points back.
This wasn't what I hoped it to be - a friend really liked it, though. The bitter aspect of the grapefruit was really played up.
I like to mix this with some dried raspberry, a little clove, and some orange to mix it up, but in and of itself it's a nice tea. My mother had some issues with it being acidic (it is grapefruit after all) but unless the tea is burnt it is quite refreshing and pleasant.
I brewed this tea twice, once for 3 minutes and once for 5 minutes. I was not impressed either time. It smelled incredibly good in the bag, but when brewed I hardly tasted the grapefruit.
Not only that but the black tea was mediocre. I've had bagged tea that brews better with more body and flavor. Once brewed it lost a good bit of the smell, I just about had to stick my nose in the tea to smell the citrus, and the taste was underwhelming.
Considering it was so strong smelling I doubt I just received a bad batch and I don't think I'll be buying it again regretfully.
Not bad, but not something I'm likely to reorder. The leaves had a wonderful smell of grapefruit in the bag. Unfortunately, when brewed, the tea had only a vague citrus peel flavor to it that couldn't quite be called grapefruit. I liked it best as a cold-brewed iced tea, but it was still only okay.
This tea had a great flavor and I look forward to having more of it in the future.
Great tea very fruity. Nice for the afternoon and lunch
Very light. I double the amount suggested to heighten the flavor .
I ordered a small packet of this on a lark and tried it the very next day. Now I think of it as my 'good morning tea' -- the distinct citrus flavor is at once light and sharp and wakes my senses right up. Very summery, if that makes sense.
Love the taste has a real fruit taste love it so much
My grandkids love this tea and so do I...just enough kick to get me going in the morning with great flavor. Try it over ice it is excellent and refreshing cold.
this tea has refreshing taste to it, just the right amount of citrus. excellent for an iced tea too
Really loving the citrus kick of this tea. Really warms me up and gives me energy.
This is a delicious tea, fruity and flavorful. It didn't even need sugar when I brewed it
I had no idea what I might taste but I have a grapefruit tree so I just had to give it a try. The black tea was very tasty, with just the right amount of grapefruit essence. It was very fragrant when I opened the bag, and the brewed flavor was very good - the grapefruit flavor that came through was full but not overpowering. The tea wasn't cluttered up with other 'extras', as other blends sometimes are. Just received the 16 ounce bag I ordered as a result of the sample, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning's cup.
This tea has a definite grapefruit flavor and has easily become my favorite black tea. You definitely get a hint of citrus. Will definitely be purchasing more of this product.
I REALLY liked this tea, because it has a somewhat dual quality. It doesn't TASTE particularly like grapefruit- it mostly tastes like normal black tea with light citrus notes. But the AROMA is 100 grapefruit. It's a really, really neat experience, and one of my favorite breakfast teas to date.
So, I gave this five stars because it was actually palatable- which is shocking to me because I find grapefruit to be the most inedible piece of produce in the history of vegetation. I only ordered this to use in blends and because I'm a completionist. I added about twice the normal sugar (normal = half a tsp for me) mostly because of my hatred of grapefruit, but I think I honestly could have drunk it without. I would not have enjoyed it though.
I love this flavored tea! I wondered how grapefruit would stand up in a black tea, but it's even nicer than I hoped. Bright, refreshing, and everything I could have asked for in a grapefruit black tea.
Barely discernible grapefruit. Not much of anything. A disappointment.
The grapefruit flavor is very potent. My friend made a cup of this about 2 weeks ago and her mug still smells like grapefruit!
I love this tea! I was looking everywhere for this flavor.
The grapefruit taste is overpowering and just leads to a bitter unbalanced tasting tea.
I received a sample of Grapefruit tea with a recent order. The aroma of the tea leaves is amazing! They have a strong grapefruit smell. After brewing, the grapefruit scent is not as strong, but the tea has a wonderful grapefruit flavor combined with the black tea. Grapefruit tea is at the top of my list of teas to order when my current stash is depleted. Yum!
This one is fantastic! I was so impressed by the strong smell of grapefruit but shuttle tones in the tea. Grapefruit can be overwhelming but it was just perfect in this tea! This is delicious!
This tea has a wonderfully refreshing aroma from the moment you open the package. At first I was a little surprised that the steeping time was simply 3 minutes rather than the usual 3-5 minutes for most black teas (I almost always steep mine closer to 5 minutes). I thought it may leave the tea a little lighter than I would like, but thankfully I was wrong! The aroma, while not as strong after steeping, is still very enjoyable, and the citrus notes provide a great counter to the stronger flavors of traditional black tea. This tea is very smooth, and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for something refreshing and fun to start off your upcoming spring mornings with!
I liked this one, but it wasn't as sweet as I was expecting.
Good flavor, not heavy on grapefruit. Very nice.
This tea is a good change of pace. The grapefruit provides and unexpected but enjoyable tang to each cup.
Was okay, not my favorite out of all that I've tried.
Of the five samples I ordered, I think this is my favorite. Perfect early morning tea.
I was very pleased with this tea. It has a wonderful citrus aroma and flavor.
Nice and sweet/tart! A little floral, but a nice bright tea.
I was a bit skeptical of grapefruit tea, but it turns out I love it. It is of course slightly tangy and sometimes that's just what I want. It is now one of my standards, like Mango and Almond Oolong.
Good, but not a personal favorite. It definitely has a noticeable grapefruit flavor, but it's a little bitter for my tastes, even with milk and sugar to balance it out. It's nice that it takes the milk and sugar well, but the overall flavor just isn't quite what I had hoped for.
Spunky and vibrant! Grapefruit tea (to me) is a unique flavor that I have not ever seen before! Thank you for it!
If you're a fan of light, tangy teas, this is for you. Citrus-y, but not overwelming. A great pick-me up on a rainy, gray morning.
This is my absolutely favorite flavor. The smell is mesmarizing
Not an overpowering grapefruit flavor but very light and refreshing. Haven't tried it cold but am looking forward to it.
Good tea but the grapefruit flavour a little bit weak for me
I like this tea. It doesn't quite taste like grapefruit, but the aroma is that of a grapefruit.
this tea is good! I wish there were more grapefruit notes in it, i really really do. I may just end up adding a drop or two of grapefruit juice (if I have grapefruits on hand, since I usually do), but it was a good tea nevertheless.
This is a wonderful tea if you like a tart tea. I always drink my tea with lemon so I love the flavor of the grapefruit.
The powerful, revitalizing scent of citrus and the invigorating flavor of this tea motivate my taste buds and encourage the rest of me to take notice. A remarkable zest closely paralleling its fruity antecedent. I prefer the unadorned version of this tea -- no sugar and no milk just its bright, sunny taste.
Still on the fence about this one. The grapefruit is strong but most of the flavor seems to come from the orange peel. The orange flavor clashes a bit with the grapefruit aroma.
Paired it with the strawberry and was great as an iced tea... Yummy
very delicious. an unexpected delight. highly recommend
one of my all time favorites goes very well with cheese and sweets.
The kick of grapefruit makes it a variant of the orange-flavored teas.
I'm not wild about it but my husband really wanted it. We tried it and while it's pretty amazing for a black citrus tea, it's still fairly strange to my palate to drink a citrus tea that isn't also spiced or explicitly meant to be sweetened.
