If you're into the fruity, this is my favorite so far. Smells good, tastes good, and I drink my tea almost always without sugar/honey, this one included.
Not a fan of grapefruit, but a huge fan of this tea. Great for a summer night. A bit of honey brings out the flavor.
As other reviews noted, this doesn't have a strong grapefruit flavor, even though it has a strong aroma. It basically tastes like pretty standard black tea with some grapefruity citrus in the background. Personally, I was fine with that.
The smell of this tea is citrussy and fresh, just like a grapefruit. If that had come through in the flavor, I would have loved this tea. However, to me the flavor was underwhelming. It reminded me of a twist on Earl Gray, which isn't a bad thing, but the grapefruit really didn't shine through. I enjoyed trying this, but I won't re-order.

Um, I was rooting for the Grapefruit tea because I LOVE everything grapefruit,... except this tea. Many have commented on the delicious smell, just wish it had the same flavor. Zero grapefruit flavor in this tea.
This was one of the first flavors I've ever tried on Adagio and so I'm back for more. It is tart, sour, fruity, citrus with an astringent, bitter black tea. It's actually nice in blends that are iced, and not bad hot if you are a fan of citrus. I think ultimately, the grapefruit oolong is a nicer flavor than this, but if you prefer strong black teas, this is a winning flavor. Definitely a great one to mix in blends, true to flavor and not artificial.
This tea is absolutely perfect for me because I love grapefruit. It's tart without being overly so.

smells wonderful- definately different - not sure what I expected, but it makes a wonderful iced tea, I think I would enjoy the grapefruit flavor more in a green tea, but its surely worth a try if you love citrus.
This tea was really good. It was a little bitter. So if your not a grapefruit fan, I wouldn't recommend it. if you are, this is the tea for you.

This pales in comparison to white grapefruit. The black tea base is dark and earthy, and it really butts heads with the grapefruit rather than the two working together.This was a cup of tea that isn't bad, but it isn't good either.

I use this tea mainly for iced tea, brewed either with hot water or by making sun tea. The citrus flavor is refreshing and light.
I really enjoyed this one. The grapefruit scent was very strong upon opening the package, which initially had me a bit worried that the tea would taste too bitter. Upon brewing, though, I found both the taste and scent of the grapefruit to be pretty balanced with the taste of the tea. This is going to be one of my go-to teas.

This smells wonderful in the bag, but it is a disappointment when brewed. It doesn't have that grapefruit zesty punch I was hoping for.
I love this tea! It is wonderful in the am and excellent cold, with a bit of honey.
I could smell the grapefruit chunks within but it really wasn't my 'cup of tea' so to speak. I prefer herbal and green teas but for someone else this may have been the perfect cup.

This tea is amazing and one of my favorites. I had no idea I would like it so much. It is great combined with gunpowder green tea and then chilled to drink as ice tea...very refreshing!!

I read the reviews that it smells great, but the taste does not live up to those standards. I chose this as my free sample, and I still regret choosing it. I made a potful, and after a tiny cup, pitched the rest down the sink. It had an eerily smoky flavour, almost like lapsang souchong, but a very unpleasant one at that.
I like the touch of zing to this black tea. This is a good morning tea to wake up to.
It has a nice grapefruit flavor. Though the smell and taste of the grapefruit oolong is better. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. This one isn't as tangy as the oolong, but it's still good.
I love grapefruit-flavored anything, so that I like this tea is kind of a no-brainer. It wasn't as good as the lemon soleil, but a pretty solid grapefruit tea. Could be enhanced by a shot of grapefruit juice while brewing.

Just steeped my first cup of the grapefruit black tea. I was afraid it would be overly citrusy, but it's not at all. This is definately going on my list of teas to drink more often!
I wouldn't have expected a tea that tastes like grapefruit to be so delicious (I wouldn't have expected a tea that tastes like grapefruit at all), but this has definitely surpassed expectations! I was incredibly pleased with how true to natural grapefruit it smelled and tasted, even if it was sweeter than the actual fruit. Will definitely buy again.
Smells wonderfull, very strong citrus smell. Once steeped it has a subtle taste but I found it quite nice.

I really, really like this tea. The grapefruit taste is subtle, but very good. The tea has a wonderful aftertaste. It makes an especially good iced tea.
I wanted to try this because I really love grapefruit and tea. I also have tried the grapefruit oolong and it is not very similar. It is a little bitter and the grapefruit was not very apparent. It is not bad but it is just a little tart/bitter. I think it is worth trying but I wouldn't get more.
I find this goofy and fun. My mother thought it was odd. but this is in my top 3. I love this tea. I have had my aunt try it and it was her favorite of what Is sent her.
I was not expecting much from this tea. I'm not a big black tea drinker as it is (I prefer green and white tea myself). However, after I smelled it, I knew I would love it. Just enough grapefruit flavor without overpowering the tea. This is another one I will be ordering again.

Very predictable tea, but a good one. It's on the heartier side of grapefruit, meaning that the black stands up strong and the grapefruit comes off as a well orchestrated side note. Nothing to write home about, but if this kind of tea is your thing, Adagio always does it best.
Very nice cup of black tea, lightly flavored with grapefruit. Clean,crisp taste. As mentioned by other reviewers, the fragrance is amazing, as well. If you want to boost the flavor, try adding some grapefruit peel. If you are looking for strong grapefruit flavor, I suggest you go out and buy some grapefruit juice.
If you are a grapefruit lover you will enjoy this tea.

Much better iced than hot, I think, especially with a little agave for sweetness.
Sadly, I've yet to have luck with this one. It smells AMAZING--there is not a doubt in the world that this is grapefruit tea, and then brewed up, it's mostly just bitter and astringent. It oversteeps easily, and I've pretty much had to give up including it in any blends. If you're the sort of person who can steep for EXACTLY the prescribed amount of time and then drink it quickly, this might be for you. If not, I'd say avoid.
My favorite of the orchard blends. this is an flavorful tea that gos great with breakfast.
This is a nice, smooth, citrusy black tea. It reminded me of a lemon black tea. It definitely did not have enough of a grapefruit taste to me, even with a little added sugar. Not a bad tea, but not really very interesting.
I love the bright, sunny flavor of this tea. I love it with sugar and cream and it is a great way to start the day.
I was expecting more grapefruit. The smell was intensely grapefruit, but I would have liked more in the taste
