I don't taste any cream in this at all. The black tea itself is very good, and you can smell the cream when you open the package, but once brewed, nothing, just plain black tea. I brewed it for a while, maybe 15 minutes (lost track of time...) so I'll try for a shorter time next time. Maybe with the longer brewing time, the black tea overpowered the cream...

update: I tried this a couple of times, and it depends on how long you brew the tea. Brewed a little too long and the cream flavor is gone. I added a star after having it a couple of times, it's good. But you have to be very careful about brew time. Otherwise it's slightly creamy and slightly sweet.

Update: This is actually one of my favorite Adagio black teas! I got another sample, and brewed it differently each time until I got the cream with no bitterness, and it's delicious! It have a big bag of this at home. Great creamy tea on its own (if brewed properly!), and great mixed with other flavors for a cream addition. Just make sure to not overbrew, and not brew this too strong, or the cream flavor gets lost and its bitter. A great flavored tea!

So good! Such a great tea. Nice creamy aromas. Steeped slightly lower than 200 for three min to avoid bitterness.

Very, very smooth and creamy. Rich and heavy in the mouth.The strong flavor of the cream masks the flavor and astringency of the black tea (and I want to taste the black tea!) so for me it gets a little boring to drink a whole cup of this. However this tea is great in blends. So plain - no, but in blends - yes. (3 min @ 200)

I was wondering what this tea tasted like on it's own. I never put cream in my tea and was hesitant to taste any teas with it in a blend. Well I had been missing out on something really good. Lots of blends have added this but today is my first on it's own. I love black tea and the addition of the cream flavoring added a nice touch. I really enjoyed this but never would have tried it on it's own without the CommuniTea.

I really enjoyed this tea. It's dessert like when cream and sweetener are added and reminiscent of caramel.

I was pretty happy with this tea as a black tea. I added cream and sugar to brighten the flavors which I do on most blacks anyway. This one had good flavor and I enjoy it. It is one tea that is great in blends too.

Good, solid tea, for sipping black. Amazing with adding frothed vanilla creamer. Sweet fragrance of leaves, knew when I opened the bag it was going to be a good one!

This is okay, but boring to me. It's great with blends and earl grey moonlight. I was really looking forward to this. Make me wonder how Vanilla tea will turn out.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: honey and vanilla notes noticed from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190°F, I notice a honey-ceylon notes with vanilla. When I take a sip, I detect vanilla bean cream with honey notes followed by strong mouth-drying astringent black tea tannins.

This is the first time I’ve had this tea solo and not in a blend. It’s not bad on its lonesome, but I do think it works best when combined with others. The sip has a nice velvety smoothness and slightly sweet taste that is enhanced when you add sweetener. I think some monkfruit or sugar is necessary to pull the flavors forward. It was enjoyable to finally experience this tea standing on its own. Happy Sipping!

CommuniTEA Sample: Very nice cream flavor for a tea that has no cream in it. I was a bit surprised by it. Brewed it at a lower/shorter temp/time to smooth it out and it was a nice start to the day.

The tea is very sweet and not bitter at all. Th aroma was delicious a nice gentle tea.

I've enjoyed this in blends, but on its own I find it a little artificial tasting... Even though the ingredients list says 'natural' flavour.

If I want cream in tea I add it. I think this is better in blends than on its own.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was greeted with a sweet creamy scent. This tea is delicious in blends, but can also stand on its own. It is slightly sweet, very creamy, and I now have to buy some!

this is a very nice tea that i love in many blends. this is my first time trying it solo, and i'm enjoying it's vanilla/marshmallow vibe very much. while it's excellent both hot and cold, i'm liking it best cold and sweetened.

I noted this tea's lovely sweet aroma immediately when I opened my packet. The taste is a bit like melted vanilla ice cream...but seems a bit artificial tasting. For me, this tea is just ok...and for whatever reason I don't like it in blends. For me, it just makes the taste odd. Not a tea for me...but lots of other tea peeps love it.

14 Nov 20 communiTEA review: Moderate cream and mild black tea dark chocolate aromas were noted from my communiTEA packet this morning. I decided to do a lower temperature steep to stave of any black tea bitterness. No milk products were added because I wanted the cream flavor to stand on it’s own.

When hot, a mild, but acceptable dark chocolate bitterness was noted. Cream flavors were weak. So I decided to add a little sugar to tone down the bitterness and bring cream flavors forward. When warm, moderately smooth and creamy flavors came forward and were very tasty. Mild chocolate bitterness tastes were still present at the end. This was a really nice sip, but one I wouldn’t want to drink on it’s own everyday. This is one of those flavored black teas that are better left for blending with others. (3 mins @ 190ºF, 1/4 tsp sugar)

On its own, the tea is nice as it gives off that familiar cream flavor without the need of the real thing. But I have to say I prefer it better when used in a blend as a complementing tea would enhance its flavors. That's just my personal preference, but it's definitely good however you prepare it!

This tea is good in the sense it's like vanilla or a marshmallow but I prefer it in blends, rather then solo, I just feel like I'm drinking and something is missing. It's good though, I just wouldn't choose it to drink alone.

This was a very smooth black tea blend with creme. I added frothed milk. This would be a good base tea for at home blending.

I love this tea! It is great both hot and iced. I add a touch of sweetener when hot and it makes for a nice, rich tea . When iced, I find no sweetener is needed and it is delicious. It is one of my go-to iced teas all summer long. I also enjoy blending it with other teas. Yum!!

This one has a very delicate flavor and definitely needs to be steeped at a lower temperature. At 195, the cream flavor is absolutely decadent. Creamy and sweet black or with a splash of cream.

This tastes like heaven! The cream flavour is perfectly balanced, and doesn’t have that awful fake taste I’ve found with other ‘cream’ teas. I highly recommend this tea to anyone who likes a bit of creamy sweetness to their black morning sip!

This seemed more mild flavored black tea with just a hint of cream. I prefer some of the other black teas you sell over this one.

This Cream tea is so yum! It's sweet and deep. It also is a delicious base to mix with other teas. This mixed with Black Almond is divine. Especially with a splash of Summer Rose.

A great addition to many teas to create your own blend. Not something I would necessarily have on its own though.

I love the cream flavor in other things, so I hoped I would love it on its own. This is good but not a fall in love with it tea

Smooth as silk - it's like a hug in a mug. Very forgiving if you don't brew it just perfectly, it always makes a nice cup. It's also a really nice dessert tea if you're trying to cut down on your sweets at night! With a little creamer and sweetener, it is a good tradeoff for hot chocolate. If you are sensitive to caffeine, do not drink near bedtime - it's got a kick. I prefer it first thing in the morning!

Nice tea for anytime does not need sweetener or cream in my opinion

This tea is a subtle, yet pleasing new addition to my collection! At first I couldn’t taste the cream, but adding a small bit of sugar helps boost the cream flavor.

This stands very well on it's own. You can taste the cream. I like adding more cream and sweetener to bring it out as a dessert tea. I also add this tea to many many others.

I love that it tastes like I put cream in sugar in it without actually adding any.

The taste and smell of sweet cream permeates this tea. Yummy! This tea is great on its own but I am also going to try it mixed with fruity teas.
