I added about two tablespoons of espresso flavored coffee syrup to a pot of chocolate truffle tea and it was delicious! This tea is so good and so chocolatey. Love it.

Great team. I highly recommend getting coconut powder to add to it.
Tastes like chocolate! Better than hot cocoa when I need a caffeine boost and/or want to control the sweetness level
better than the first time i had it but its missing something I don't quite know what but its missing it all right
A very special treat with my afternoon snack of nuts and fruit, the chocolate taste is subtle yet powerful in its overall oomph
It took me a long time to learn to taste and enjoy chocolate teas. I had a really hard time tasting the chocolate, which I found very disappointing. This tea is the first chocolate tea that I learned to enjoy and love. I look forward to every cupful.
Not a big fan of this one but it wasn't horrible going into it knowing that I'm not a big fan of chocolate teas historically.
I love chocolate teas and this is one of my favorites! I mix it with so many other black teas to make my own dessert tea creations. It is way better than the chocolate chip tea.
I tried this with some oat milk. It leaves an odd aftertaste of vanilla/cream, but tastes like a bad Earl Grey with bitter notes.
Warm sweet hug in a mug! Nice to mix with other black teas for a new tasty treat. Good and good for you!
I found the tea to be too weak, even after steeping longer with more tea. Was not impressed.
A delicious tea. I love the smell the minute you open the bag
This was a well rounded but smooth cup. It wasn’t bitter at all, nor was it malty to my taste. I did add a spot of milk to mine and that made it beyond 5 stars. This also solved my early evening chocolate craving, so bravo!
On of my favorite things on the planet for sure!!!
I didn't care for this on the first cup, but after a few more cups, it won me over and I really love it now! (with or without milk) It really DOES taste like a chocolate truffle!
I like this tea but I wish there was more chocolate flavor in it. Also, it taste almost identical to the chocolate tea Adagio sells. Where's the truffles?
Tastes like a really lovely blend of black tea and hot chocolate. The chocolate has a nice flavor and doesn’t over power the tea
Craving hot chocolate but wanted a healthy altnernative
This tea is my new fave and so excited to see it also comes in decaf. From the moment you open the package, the aroma is completely divine—rich, warm, and indulgent without being overpowering. The flavor is just as incredible: smooth, comforting, and perfectly balanced, tasting like a true chocolate treat without being heavy or sweet. It feels like a little luxury in a cup. Even my husband, who doesn’t drink tea at all, loved it and went back for another cup. This one is a definite winner and a must-have for any tea (or chocolate) lover.
This is the perfect full-bodied black tea for a pick-me-up. This is my daily go-to tea in the morning — especially when I am at the office. I have purchased refills on this tea many times and just restocked again today.
I love this chocolate flavor. It’s subtle yet satisfying.
Decaf chocolate truffle is my absolute favorite tea, tying with Reindeer fuel. While not decaf, this version is still delicious and will tide me over until the decades hoped for return.
This is a great tea to enjoy any time of the day. I enjoy both versions of this tea, caffeinated and decaf depending on the time of day.
Smells like dark chocolate! The flavor is not strong or sweet, but it's fudgy and pleasant. The scent is stronger than the flavor, but it's a nice black tea.
I really enjoy this tea, especially after it’s had a chance to sit for a while and to bring the chocolate flavor to the forefront.
As far as chocolate teas go. I think this is one of the better ones. Usually I find it overpowers any other flavors and so am disappointed when I only get chocolate, but since this was just chocolate, I didn’t feel like I was missing out on something. Unfortunately it is caffeinated, so I can’t drink it too late.
This one was really nice. I think I would still reach for Irish stout over this if craving chocolate tea, but this one is still quite nice as well. I was worried when I saw chicory in the ingredients as I really dislike the flavor of it, but honestly the cocoa notes all covered it quite well to be just barely there. I drank it hot with nothing added, but I think next go I will definitely be adding milk and sugar and maybe even go iced with it as I think sweeter is where this one will really shine maybe enough to earn that fifth star. This one would really do some heavy lifting in blends if you really need a chocolate flavor to come through I think. 212° 4 min.
this is really yummy... initially I brewed it with a sprinkle of sugar crystals to bring out all the flavors. I tasted as is and decided to go ahead and add a creamer. Simply a delightful chocolate flavor, which is difficult to achieve the correct balance in tea. well done!
This tea was definitely chocolate-y - which was good, but my brain had trouble computing that it's tea and not hot chocolate. 😂 I think I prefer chocolate mixed with another flavor in my teas.
CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 195 F. I wouldn't normally pair chocolate and tea together, but adagio has proven that it can be done in an enjoyable way. I think that this blend especially has a good balance of both chocolate and cocoa flavors, some that are sweeter and creamier, some that are darker and less processed. This isn't a tea that I would drink regularly, but it certainly isn't a bad one!
Got it in loose leaf form since bags were not available. It's delicious and smells good. However, I didn't notice any truffles. Somewhat disappointed.
A phenomenal cup of tea! Was so nice to get all cozy with it even if the weather outside was only.kild this morning. A decadent cuppa
My cup has such a sweet chocolate aroma, even when I opened the packet I could tell this was going to be a good one ~! The chocolate taste is bold yet not dry at all.
Chocolate based teas and I are enemies most of the time, but it all really depends on how well the flavors blend with my preferred non-dairy creamer. This one just so happens to pair perfectly with my Planet Oat Coffee Cake non-dairy creamer. The flavors complement each other so well! Hmmmm, now I want a real slice of chocolate coffee cake. 😋
I find this one tastes like chocolate syrup, should be had with milk or an alt milk of your liking, I really wish I liked this one more, it's not bad but every time I drink it I just feel like I'm taking a swig from a chocolate syrup bottle.
I enjoyed this tea as is and used it to mix up my own blend with orange tea (so good) and cream tea (again very good). The chocolate tea on its own was yummy but it can be a little bitter if you over steep it.
i had this one this morning, i'm not even a chocolate lover but i like this very much
update: we continue to buy this by the pound and we like it hot
One of my favorite black teas. The chocolate flavor pairs perfectly with the black tea. I love to add sweetener and a little milk or cream. It also is a great addition to many other teas
It really is quite chocolately. Good with milk in the afternoon. I would say that it smells more chocolate than it tastes
Wow! This is a robust, chocolate flavor! It tastes like a chocolate cream candy when you add cream!
A favorite. Authentic chocolate flavor that blends well with other flavors. I like it with butterscotch. Very satisfying anytime. Recently tried it hot with wild strawberry, for a dessert tea finish to your day.
Delicious! I mixed it with a little of the rooibos pecan turtle. A great dessert tea for tea lovers!
I love the scent of it brewing and did drink it, but it is definitely a flavor to get used to. I wanted a hot chocolate and got tea.
Add some sweetener to cancel the strong bitter, then it becomes sweet delicious dark chocolate dessert tea
The packet has a nice strong sweet smell almost like chocolate cherry. It has a strong smooth black tea taste with a hint of chocolate. It would be excellent to add to a blend.
This kinda tastes like tootsie rolls, which may not be to everyone's taste. I was hoping for something a little more rich / chocolatey, but this still wasn't all that bad.
One of my favorite teas my far! I drink this with the mocha nut tea and it's amazing! I literally gave up coffee and now drink this every morning
When I first decided to try this one, I wondered if the chocolate and trufffle flavor would come through in a tea. Not sure about the truffle flavor because I've never had one, but the chocolate definitely hits my taste buds just right.
Good but don’t steep too long or becomes bitter. Would buy again
It's fine, but I found that I prefer chocolate as an accent flavor more than on its own. I mostly use this by adding a teabag to other teas.
