It's alright, it's a bit too dark for me. The chocolate flavor comes through nicely and is blended well with tje flavors of the tea.
I prefer Chocolate Chai, but this one is also very good. Creamy & dark chocolaty.
A nice, slightly sweet tea. The chocolate is too subtle for my liking - it gets overpowered by the tea. Cream and sugar bring the chocolate flavor out a bit more.
I will buy this again. It reminded me of the before time. The long, long ago when I was able to visit eateries. The strong sweet smell reminded me of a good single malt scotch or an after-dinner digestif. I actually put on pants while drinking this, the pants I wore on New Years Eve. That’s how classy this tea made me feel.
This is a very smooth, tasty dessert tea with great chocolate flavor. The Ceylon black is a nice robust base. A little sweetener and milk/cream bring out the flavor best. Not as chocolatey as their Chocolate Truffle tea which, for me, is their 5-star chocolate tea.
A nice, smooth cup that goes great with sugar. This tea is splendid when paired with breakfast.
The product description does not lie. This is delicious and decadent. I just wish it was decaf.

This is the perfect chocolate tea. The dark chocolate flavor keeps it from being too sweet or overpowering so that you can still taste the tea underneath the chocolate.
A nice and soft chocolate flavor when you just want something simple. A little sugar and sometimes I even add a little half and half to give it a richer flavor.
A good tea that tastes like chocolate. Adding sugar and cream elevates the tea making it seem like you are drinking liquid chocolate. Overall a great tea.
Nice dark chocolate flavor. Might be better with sugar and milk, but this way you can enjoy it guilt-free, not to mention it'd be hot chocolate at that point.
At first, I was disappointed. It wasn’t really tasting like much of anything. I then thought to add some sugar and that helped make the flavors pop! It’s definitely not a hot chocolate substitute, but it works as a decent dessert-tea. After I finished it, my partner said cream would have probably made it even better, and I wish I had thought of that! I rarely take cream in my tea, so it never occurred to me. I’m inclined to think he’s probably right, so if I get this tea again, I will keep that in mind.
I thought I didn't like chocolate-flavored teas until I tried this one! I was so blown away by how much I like it that I'm going to try Adagio's other chocolate teas now.
It's good, but it needs something more. I like to mix it with caramel or vanilla to give it a bit more oompf.
I drink this every day. Its like having chocolate without the guilt (and the calories). Warm and soothing.
Not a fault of adagio, I’m not crazy about straight chocolate tea and I don’t know why because I love valentines and Irish stout.

Not bad chocolate flavor. Its a little lacking to me because I love the chocolate truffle tea but its a solid base.
I personally don t notice a ton of difference between this tea and the chocolate chip - which speaks positively of this blend! I love this with a little bot of agave and milk.

Actually smells terrific! You can also taste a bit of chocolate in the tea itself as well. I've tried about 7 chocolate teas and this is the only one that tastes 'chocolate'.
Nice in blends, I will keep this or chocolate chip on hand, they’re pretty similar. I think this one goes bitter fast if oversteeped. This is great when mixed with Irish Breakfast!
It s okay. It doesn t taste or smell much like chocolate. It reminded me more of a tootsie roll, I guess. I tried mixing it with other teas but this flavor takes over.
If you want a cup of hot chocolate, then make hot chocolate. The chocolate flavor here is very subtle, and not at all in the forefront. All by itself, the chocolate flavor comes through, but if you have toast or cookies with it, the chocolate flavor surrenders without a fight to the competition.

Very strong aroma in the bag and once brewed. Only a very subtle chocolate taste though.
If you want a plain chocolate tea I would pick this one over the chocolate chip. I fish out the chips and put them in my cup because I don t want them going through my ingenuitea and gunking it up. Personally I prefer Chocolate Chai or Pu erh chornage for chocolate teas.
This tea is good but I like the chocolate chip tea better.

My favorite chocolate tea on this site. It isn't overwhelming, but the perfect balance between tea and chocolate without a bitter taste that I've found in some others.
A decent flavored tea. The chocolate flavor isn't the kind of chocolate I'd expect - It's more reminiscent of a tootsie roll than a piece of chocolate. If you're looking for something chocolate flavored and tootsie roll isn't your cup of tea, there's better options on Adagio (I'd recommend trying the chocolate truffle tea).
Yum!!! Totally smells kind of like a piece of dark chocolate. Tastes like a cup of hot cocoa. This is soo good and great if you are wanting chocolate without the calories!
It smelled amazing, but I couldn't really get a chocolate-y taste when I steeped according to the package directions. It was weak and fairly tasteless, so I'm disappointed.
May 'Tis be the season' but I was totally turned off by this tea. It smells like chocolate and there is a chocolate aftertaste in the back of your throat. I can barely describe the in between though. Just a sweetish tasting blah that neither tastes like tea or chocolate. I had less than cup before throwing the whole order out. Can't even bring myself to finish it. Everyone has their own opinion but to me, this tea is a total waste of money! I guess that other than Masala Chai, I am most certainly NOT a flavored tea kind of gal!!!
Cannot go wrong here. Chocolate Truffle is richer and sweeter but this standard sits well on the palate!
The chocolate flavor in this tea is excellent. There's a hint of creaminess to the flavoring, as well.
Not a strong chocoloate taste, but a nice bit of cocoa flavor to a cup of tea. This is much better as part of a tea blend than by iteself. I really wish it came in a decaf version for an after-dinner tea (like the vanilla does).
this is really good the chocolate really comes thru and even better with fresh mint leaves
This is a great tea that 3 of us all like. Black tea and chocolate together. Can sit longer without getting bitter and is even good lukewarm when we get distracted by issues!
I love this tea . I mix it with the coconut and it is my little piece of heaven at work. A taste of chocolate with out feeling guilty about the calories.
This tea is super dark and delightful. I always oversteep my tea, so this one came out feeling a little more like coffee than tea, and that made it kind of amazing. Definitely suggesting it to my 'Coffee is better than tea' friends.
