Love It!!! Great for chocaholiocs!!! takes away the need of a real piece of choc!!!
Ceylon tea and rich dark chocolate flavor. Decadent chocolate liquor texture, brightened by the tang of the Ceylon.

Love It!!! Great for chocaholiocs!!! takes away the need of a real piece of choc!!!
The aroma on this one is pretty good but I smell the tea over the chocolate. Same for the flavor.
The chocolate taste is very mild and artificial. I was trying for a nutella-like blend. I definitely wouldn't drink this alone, and it can't replace hot chocolate for me as some others have stated.
I love a hot and watery chocolate drink - I prefer this to hot chocolate when I want something light.
The smell is great, but (as with a lot of Adagio flavored black teas) the chocolate flavor was very mild. Good for mixing.
I don't usually like black tea unless it's in a chai, but I was given this as a gift and I'm quite addicted to it. I drink one or two cups ever weekday morning at work. It's like drinking a cup of very gentle dark chocolate. The flavor is perfect. I drink it with a half a packet of stevia sweetner.
One of my favorite teas. I usually add a little bit of raw sugar, and that brings out the flavor a bit more without making it too sweet. Good mixed with a very little bit of peppermint.
This tea has a decent chocolate flavor. It's a little mild by itself, but it mixes wonderfully with hazelnut, almond, or cream teas.
Nice light chocolate flavor. I never thought I'd like the taste of chocolate in my tea but I've been pleasantly surprised. In fact, I've ordered more.
I didn't think I would like this tea but it's actually pretty good. The taste is very faint but probably strong enough for the flavor. You can mostly taste black tea but the nice hint of chocolate is good.
I was hoping for a slightly sweeter or more pronounced flavor, like Adagio's chestnut tea. The "chocolate" taste here is sort of like unsweetened baking cocoa. Good with sweetener, but not what I was expecting. The second infusion was practically flavorless.
I received a brilliant aroma of chocolate when I first opened the bag, which translated into a feint flavor on the backend of this tea and only when prepared perfectly. I was hoping for a little more but this is still an excellent tea.
I have yet to try this by it self, but blended with hazelnut it's wonderful.
I though this tasted too much like coffee. It smells great but didn't taste as chocolately as it smells. I've noticed that most teas smell stronger than they are so I wasn't surprised.
OK, but chocolate flavor is overpowered by black tea taste. It's improved with a little honey and chocolate soy milk. A good mixer for other flavors, especially orange or mint.
One of my favorites! I was skeptical at first, but it is incredibly enjoyable and always a hit among guests.
While not the sweet chocolate taste I was looking for this tea still has nice flavor. If over brewed it's very bitter so watch those steeping times, a quick 2 to 3 mins is all it takes. With a bit of of sugar you have a nice cup of sweet tasting chocolate tea without the calories.
A very interesting tea. Hints of chocolate with a very good tea base. Very good mixed with vanilla and coconut. Would purchase again.
Overall, a great cocoa flavored tea. I didn't find any bitter or odd after taste what so ever; the aroma is subtle & the flavor is mild, balanced & definitely evocative of cocoa beans.
I noticed a few folks commented that this wasn't very "chocolate-y": in regards to that, i think as a tea, it has plenty of cocoa nuance to it if you give yourself a chance to really notice it. A lot of chocolate teas from other sellers I've found are so over-infused with synthetic chocolate flavoring that it makes the tea tase more like a candy bar~ I'm a bit of a purist; i want my tea to taste like tea, with some natural flavor. A bit of cream & sugar would elevate it to the next level if that's what you're looking for though.
In regards to the bitter afterteaste, i suspect maybe brewing this one the entire five reccommended minutes might be a bit long~ and if you're looking for it to really retain the same level of scent it has in the tin, you might be tempted to brew that long; or brew too much~ but I would suggest 2-3 minutes, with near but not actually boiling water.
If you really find it not chocolatey enough, it's a fantastic base blend, and works well with just about anything; though I find it fantastic on it's own.
The chocolate tea smells absolutely amazing and is quite tasty also. However, I have to substract one star for the weird aftertaste that I find strangely unpleasant. Not a bad tea, though, and definitely good for mixing with others.
The scent of the tea is better than the actual taste. I found I had to use more tea to achieve greater flavor.
The chocolate tea is a perfect mixer-smooth and flavorful. I seems to round out complimentary flavors-I've mixed it with strawberry and oriental spice with fantastic results. The aroma is wonderful!
Smells good! I found it however not as good on it's own, not a strong tea, but much better mixed to perk up other teas, like chai or other black teas.
This tea has a rather fake chocolate flavor to it. It's not awful, and is ok for mixing. But I will definitely use the much better chocolate chip flavor anytime I want chocolate tea.
On it's own, I think it's a little bitter, but with cream tea or cream added, I really enjoy it.
Chocolate tea is a bit weird to me without other things mixed in; milk, sugar, other sweet flavored teas, all of the above. This one is also a little weird, but good weird. And luscious when doctored up. I recommend trying this tea (if you're over 21) with a sploosh of Bailey's Irish Cream in it. You can thank me later.
This really does have a taste of chocolate to it. I enjoy it and will definitely order again!
This tea was exactly what I was expecting from "chocolate flavored tea." I took the advice from a few other reviews and added about a teaspoon of sugar to bring out the chocolate flavor. I let mine steep for 5 1/2 minutes which was slightly too long, so be careful about over-doing the time.
I wanted to love this tea, as I am a chocolate lover, but it wasn't what I hoped for. The chocolate flavor is there, but can't compete with the flavor of the tea base. It's a little bit chalky and bitter, and not very sweet. Perhaps I should stick with hot cocoa when I need a dash of chocolate, which is a shame, because the idea of a chocolate tea makes me swoon. But this just wasn't what I was looking for.
This really has a great chocolate aroma and taste. It is good on its own, but I think it is better when blended with cinnamon and coconut in the A Chocolate Paradise blend.
Leaf smell: dark chocolate, slightly waxy, mildly artificial smelling, but unmistakablly chocolate ...
Tea smell: hot chocolate ...
Taste: cocoa powder in tea, sugar makes it quite good, how I would expect choco flavored tea to taste. I think milk would be great. Gets bitter quick, don't over steep ...
Sugar: full tablespoon makes it WAY better
A great tea by itself or with to blend with others. I especially like it blended with the raspberry tea. Yum!
I really liked this. I've had it other blends so I knew it was going to be good.
I really enjoyed the chocolate flavor of this tea... I especially enjoyed blending it with the caramel flavored tea - wonderful! I would definitely order it again
Tried chocolate tea from another company, but price was too high to reorder. This tea from Adagio is better and is at better price. Great with honey. Great price!
This is a smooth tea. I especially like to use this as a mixing tea. I have a wonderful chocolate strawberry almond mix that is my favorite.
The flavor is a bit weak by itself, but this is great for blending. Try it with coconut, orange or cream.
It's not exactly flavorless, but the tea part doesn't come across very well and the chocolate hardly at all. It had a greasy mouth feel as well. This was an experiment since I generally like tea's natural flavor by itself.
I liked this tea a little bitter but a touch of milk evened it right up for me. Would buy again.
this is the only tea i have not given a good/great review on...unlike the many other flavored teas, i find that the chocolate tastes a bit too artificial. i do however, really like the chocolate chai.
I love it! I mixed some of the cream with it and added sugar and a touch of skim milk.
Admittedly, I am not a fan of black teas. I think if I was, I would like this more. The chocolate taste is well-done - not too weak, not too powerful - but I can't get over the black tea enough to really enjoy it. Worth a taste if you like black tea and chocolate.
Great taste, just like chocolate! This is definetly worth a shot, and will please those looking for something a little sweet.
Wasn't too fond of this tea, seemed to be artificially flavored without much chocolate taste. I could smell more than taste.
I like this tea it remonds me of hot cocoa in a tea
this tea is very versatile. it taste good mixed with other black and green teas as well as milk and sugar. with milk and sugar it taste like the 'milk tea' that you buy at asian bubble tea places. oh and, HEALTH CARE FOR ALL!
Great chocolate scented black tea, but not very strong chocolate flavor. Blends well with mint, though.
testes like watery hot chocolate if you add creamer to it or milk its delicious, on its own it falls short
Not bad, but the flavor was a little off for me, though I don't usually add any sweeteners to my tea, I'll have to see how they affect the final cup.
Good but needs to be mixed with something to really enjoy. I always mix it with Blackberry. Infact I came up with a blend called Chopin by Moonlight which is Chocolate and Blackberry tea.
