The aroma is wonderful, but the tea was a little flat. It certainly has a smoothness that chocolate has, but it lacked the sweetness. The addition of some sugar certainly helps a bit and some cream turned it into something close to hot chocolate, but watery. I think some more tinkering could produce a good chocolate tea, but otherwise it was just okay.

My stomach reacts to coffee, so I make this tea and coffee it up with cream and sugar - it's a great substitute. It seems a little weird, chocolate-flavored tea, but if you can get past that, it's a great way to get the morning-boost of caffeine without the acid-churn that coffee can give you. Highly recommended!

Any chocolate lover will enjoy this tea. It has a nice after flavoring left on the taste-buds. Definitely give this a try.
★★★★★
This is a delicious black chocolate tea! I love chocolate tea and this one has a nice rich flavor. I recommend steeping for about 3 minutes in boiling water before removing the tea.
★★★☆☆
Not bad. But to be honest, we only use this as an add-in for chai tea.
★★★★★
This tea is richly flavored. Very nice with a splash of milk and honey, dessert in a cup!

Wow, this is a good tea. I normally just drink green tea, but I do this once or twice a week and it's a very nice treat. Tip: try adding some peppermint to it.
★★★★☆
Really smooth, pleasant chocolately sweetness in a perfect black tea. This was a free sample and I'm glad I got to try it, as I'm not sure I would have ordered it otherwise. I will likely order it again, a great low calorie alternative to hot chocolate without the creaminess.
★★★★★
It was great. Steamed for 5 minutes and it was perfect.

I think this needs to be looked at. I do enjoy the flavor but when brewed it leaves a greasy taste or greasy film in my mouth. at first I thought is was maybe something else. then I noticed it was not only ever time I brewed it but also in whatever blends it is used in. like I said the flavor is good I just don't like the greasy feel.
★★★★★
This is good for those late-night chocolate cravings. All the flavor without the calories.
★★★☆☆
This tea is nice. Nothing amazing, but a good alternative to a morning tea. The chocolate nuances are from actual cacao which is a plus because I love natural versus artificial. So on that note I will say that someone looking for a chocolate bar-tasting tea should choose something else.

I prefer fruity teas , but this is nice on a cold night.
★★★★★
Awesome tea,add a little cream and tastes fantastic.

I was pleasantly surprised by this complex chocolaty flavor, I was expecting a thump, when what I got was a BOOM! Who needs a candy bar when you can enjoy a nice hot cup of heaven. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO CHOCOLATE LOVERS!!

Chocolate 'chipc' melt in the tea adding an extra chocolateflavor.

Be careful on the Brewing time for this one. If it is brewed too long it will become very bitter. So after my second attempt I brewed it the correct way and found that it was actually very good.

Eh. This was a very fresh sample but it tasted stale to me. I even tried a little sweetener to bring out the chocolate flavor, and I just keep wishing this was hot cocoa. I guess in the future if I want hot cocoa, I'll just get that instead. This just tastes like watered down unremarkable hot cocoa. Smelled good in the bag, though, and it will probably be used to mix with my peppermint teas.

Not bad, but not great, only ok. When it was plain I felt it was too weak/watery a taste (even though I used the same amount of tea and steep time as I do with other Adagio teas), but with half and half and honey added, the chocolate flavor did come out. But I still felt like it was only ok. I will use the sample I have but likely will not buy this one again.

Personally, I like chocolate chip better. This has a really good flavor though.
★★★★★
Absolutely delicious, a soft flavour without being overwhelming.

Chocolate taste does not come through. Chestnut and Hazelnut have more of a rich chocolate taste.
★★★★☆
I liked this chocolate. It is better with a splash of milk.
★★★★★
Mixed it with the Candy Cane...yummy! Nada to add a bit more of the chocolate as the candy cane is quite minty.
★★★★★
Yum-Yum-Yummy! I also enjoy mixing it with peppermint and nut flavored teas.

Too much of an artificial chocolate taste. It made my stomach churn!

Lovely chocolate flavor. The smell is heavenly! I highly recommend this tea.
★★★★☆
I'm not a big fan of dark chocolate, but I actually enjoy this tea. Definitely more of a dessert tea, because of the sweetness, but it's still very good.
★★★★☆
This tea has a rich, smokey taste to it. I love black tea, and I love chocolate, so this tea is perfect. Not a complex tea, but delicious and slightly bitter way to perk up in the morning or to wake up a bit before work.
I don't know if I'd buy this blend on it's own, but I can see buying more black tea blends with chocolate in them. Yum!
★★★★★
Great tasty tea! I was obviously not expecting anything like hot cocoa since this is a tea, but it has a great chocolate milk type of flavor. Wonderful blending tea.

I like to mix this tea with the Chestnut flavored tea for an afternoon treat.
★★★☆☆
I mixed it with my caramel tea and I expected a more sweet and chocolaty taste, however, this tasted unsweetened and bitter. It was like a raw cocoa taste. Not bad, but not a favorite either.

It's great on it's own,
but I love it best blended with milk or honey
★★★★★
I really enjoy mixing this with the other black teas.
★★★★☆
very chocolaty and delicious tea to go with iced cream
★★★☆☆
I felt the chocolate flavor overwellmed the tea's natural flavor.
★★★★☆
I admit that the scent is better than the brewed tea, but that's not to say that it's bad or unsatisfying. It makes for a very pleasant cup by itself, and I'll bet it's even better with milk and sugar.
★★★★★
I enjoyed this tea. I have a craving for chocolate and it fulfilled.
★★★★★
My daughter drinks it every morning before school to get her ready for the day. Not overpowering flavor but strong enough to satisfy a chocolate lover! Yummy!!
★★★☆☆
The taste of chocolate was there, but mixing it with tea was not for me.
★★★★★
Delicious! Especially if you are dieting and need a 'treat'. We mix it with an equal number of strawberry, almond, hazelnut or cherry tea bags and it is incredible!
★★★★★
Satisfying as a substitute for a chocolate candy bar. When I want sweet tea this is it!
★★★★★
Super tasty tea really hits the spot! Enjoyed it both cold and hot!
★★★★☆
Deliciously chocolate-y, it tastes like milk chocolate when combined with milk, and even better with half and half almond oolong.
★★★★☆
this is good. nice chocolate flavor. just wish it was a little stronger.
★★★★★
Love this one on its own or mixed, especially with vanilla! This is sooo creamy, smells and tastes great.

smells great, tastes bland. Perhaps I should have gotten the chocolate chip?
★★★★☆
Satisfies a craving for something sweet! I made it into iced tea.
★★★★☆
The smell and taste are both exactly what I expected: chocolate mixed with black tea. I like it fine, but I will admit that I gave it a good since there's also chocolate chip and, if you want something chocolate flavored, it sounds like something with a little more real chocolate (excluding the cocoa nibs) would be even better. Maybe I'll try that blend at some point and add my opinions on a comparison.
