Heady chocolate liquor aroma and flavor. How can you not like melted chocolate chips in your cup?
Dark chocolate chips melt into our citrusy Ceylon black tea for the ultimate treat. Dense and soft chocolate flavor.

Heady chocolate liquor aroma and flavor. How can you not like melted chocolate chips in your cup?
I got this tea for my sister as a gift and she loves it.
My spouse loves chocolate, so I often buy chocolate tea in an attempt to get my spouse to share my obsession. Personally, I found that I like most of Adagio's Chocolate teas, and Chocolate Chip is no exception.
I love this tea!!!
Nice tea with a hint of chocolate. It isn't too over the top, but definitely a sweeter tea. Good for desert or a late, cold night.
Chocolate and tea will always go together... well really anything and chocolate, lol. i mix this with my herbal peppermint tea for a nice pick me up in the mornings.
Updated review:
Made the normal way (boil water, steep, add sugar if desired) this tea was just okay. Not much flavor without sugar, and still not much chocolate flavor with it. I still had some left though, so I decided to look for a way to make it better. I found it!
Ingredients : 3 cups water, 1 cup milk (I use 2 - 1 might be okay, but I wouldn't recommend skim), 4 tsp tea, and sugar (or other sweetener) to taste. Makes about three mug fulls, so adjust accordingly.
Instructions - Bring milk and water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat just as it boils, and be careful not to let it overflow. Then add the tea, cover, and let steep for three minutes. Drain, and sweeten to taste.
The result tastes a little like hot chocolate, but you can taste the tea as well. It actually tastes a bit like drinking a tootsie roll.
Mixed with cream tea this is pretty good. Not my favorite but still pretty solid.
I have to put cream and sugar in this tea in order to enjoy it. I do like it, but it tastes a bit too fake chocolate.
Smells great but the chocolate flavor doesn't really come out in the brewed tea. I prefer the original Chocolate tea Adagio offers and will order that in the future.
After buying several more bags of the Chocolate Chip tea and comparing it to the original Chocolate, I have changed my mind and now prefer the Chocolate Chip. It is now my #1 flavored tea and I have been drinking a lot of it this winter.
This rich-flavored tea was good mixed with caramel, almond milk, and sugar.
Same as the chocolate tea for me, just too bitter even though I followed the directions exactly and did not overstep.
It is a strong black tea, but doesn't overtly taste like chocolate. It almost has a slightly burnt taste to it.
The best of both worlds! I love the aroma of chocolate and the smoothness of flavor.
One of my absolute favorite teas here at Adagio! The chocolate tea is nice, but really more of a good blending tea. But the chocolate chip tea really does taste like drinking cocoa, just without the richness the higher amount of chocolate provides. This is an absolutely stunning, tasty, and awesome flavored tea that I will be purchasing a bag of with my next order. A ! I suggest not brewing this overlong, though, because ceylon gets bitter really fast, and I could see that cancelling out the milk-chocolate taste.
On the other hand, it might be interesting to see what the milk chocolate does when the ceylon taste is heavier...
I think this tea would be better with milk chocolate chips instead of dark. Even after only 3 minutes (the recommended steeping time) it does get quite bitter. I'm sure my next cup will be improved with milk and sugar, and the smell of it is lovely, so it's not a complete loss. I won't be purchasing any more though.
This tea was good but my signature blend, Chocolate Cream Dream is much better. The difference is in flavor richness. but all in all this was a good tea.
This smells just like chocolate chip cookies. The taste is a little on the bitter side like semisweet cooking chocolate. Sugar really brings out the chocolate in this tea. Overall this is a great tea for those who are looking for a chocolate tea.
It wasn't as chocolatey as I expected but it is quite nice and blends well with the caramel tea.
This tea made with milk and a little sugar tastes like a hot chocolate. It reminded me of tootsie rolls as well, even without the milk added. I am really excited about this tea. It's only the second chocolate tea I've tried, and much more impressive than the first one I tried. Unfortunately, the second steep of this is not as good. It still smells like chocolate, but doesn't have any chocolate taste left. The first steep, though, is so good that it makes up for the second one. I will definitely be ordering more of this, and looking to mix it with other teas.
A lot better than I was expecting, based on the reviews. It's not fantastic on its own, but it's good mixed with other flavours.
mmmmmmmm. I wouldn't go so far as to say these are brownies in liquid form, but they come pretty darn close. This tea smells great, both in the bag and when brewed, and it has flavor to match. It's amazing. Seriously, I don't know why you're still reading this. Just buy some already.
It's not bad, but like any chocolate-flavored tea the flavor isn't as strong as you would hope. As long as you go in knowing the flavor isn't going to be that strong, you will enjoy it.
A decent black tea, but as with a lot of chocolate flavors, this one smells much better than it tastes. Possibly good for blending, but otherwise unremarkable--which is too bad because it smells GREAT!
I found this tea to be incredibly weak. The leaves smell flavorful, but the taste just isn't there. It isn't horrible, just a waste of time.
This tea is very good, although not quite as strong of a chocolate taste as I expected. All in all, the flavor is still very good. It's definitely more of a rich dark chocolate taste than other chocolate teas I've tasted elsewhere- not too sweet, but with the perfect amount of cocoa. I recommend steeping for about 4-5 minutes, or maybe adding a little more tea leaves per cup (if you prefer your tea quite strong, like I do). Best with cream and sugar added to taste.
Warm, and definitely not bitter, this tea is one of the few black teas I enjoy. Mixes well with many other teas, but also works as a dessert tea.
When you put chocolate in tea, it's hard to go wrong. This is perfect for blending so you can add some chocolate chips to another. I tried caramel and it was fantastic!
very sweet on its own. rich and dark. very yummy.
VERY yummy! The chocolate flavor doesn't taste as strong as it smells, but still very good with some milk and sugar.
My new favorite! The chocolate flavor seemed more cocoa than artificial. Works very well as a dessert substitute!
This tea is very weird. Opening the bag was sensory overload - the smell was very overpowering, and not necessarily in a good way. When brewed, the smell is less overwhelming, but still wafts off the tea. it's definitely not very subtle. The taste is that of a regular black tea at the front, but the back carries a chocolate syrupy taste, not unlike the dregs of chocolate at the bottom of a flavored Starbucks drink. I must confess that I'm not a fan of teas with added flavoring, but I got the chocolate chip as a free sample and figured I'd push through the smell and give it a fair shot on tasting. I tried, but this tea is just not for me.
We mixed with the English breakfast tea to make a delicious dessert.
This is my new favorite tea! It is a wonderful tea to sip while curling up with a good book. I like that I can taste the chocolate, but I can still taste the black tea just as well.
A nice flavored black tea that tastes just like it says on the label.
I mixed it with the peppermint black tea for a yummy guilt free winter treat.
I'm not even going to lie - I ordered this so I could blend it with the hazelnut tea to make a Nutella-like flavor. It isn't exactly Nutella, but it's a nice combination if you like sweet teas.
Nice tea! Loving the chocolate flavor nice to blend with other teas.
I got this one and chocolate for my sister and she loved it!
I thought this one was pretty good. I enjoyed the light chocolate taste. Great for a quite chocolate fix
This was a little weird at first but once I added it to my coconut black tea I was pretty in love.
Recently this has become my go to drink for cold days. I can't have milk- which is the only real way to make hot chocolate- so this is the best replacement for my craving. It is sweet without being too sweet while the chocolate accents the black tea quite eloquently.
I absolutely love this tea! It definitely satisfies my chocolate craving. I will be purchasing this one again very soon!
This is a good mixer to add more chocolate to a blend.
Tastes like dark chocolate, I loved this tea standalone, or with a touch of honey.
I wasn't sure how I would like a chocolate tea, mostly because my first thought was of hot cocoa, with a creamy consistency and a sweet finish. This is not the same, however it can be quite delicious with a lump of sugar and a splash of milk.
I mixed it with a little bit of candy cane. And o my goodness. Its good i like it.
Kind of a weak chocolate but not bad. You probably want to add some sweetener when you drink this.
I'm really on the fence about this. It has a smell like very fruity chocolate, but none of the taste when brewed alone. With other teas, its amplified somewhat. Not bad but not really good, either.
I'm a chocolate lover so I thought I was going to love this team but it's just ok. It has a watered down taste. Not very chocolatey at all.
