Good with cream and sugar if you re craving something sweet. Doesn t taste exactly like caramel, though. When I think of caramel, I think of that dark, kinda malty, kinda burnt sugary taste. This tea isn t anything like that. Maybe closer to the caramel you d get when you order a caramel frappe?
I was skeptical about this tea but grabbed a sample since I'm such a caramel fan and I can say I'm not disappointed! I do add milk to my tea which gives the brew a soft dairy based caramel flavor nicely balanced by the somewhat bitter black tea. It really feels like an indulgent way to start my day!
I do really like this tea! I would rate it a 4.5, so I am rounding up to 5. I drank it on its own to give a fair review, but I plan to blend it with other things in the future. It s so interesting and is actually more complex of a flavor than I was even anticipating. It almost tastes like raisins to me, which is so unexpected but not unpleasant (and I don t really even like raisins that much.) I probably would not choose to drink it on its own often, but I am glad I have it in my collection!
It was OK. The overall flavor of caramel is lost in the mix. But pleasant enough.

This is one of our favorites. The caramel scent is addicting and is smooth on the palate. A little raw or brown sugar really accentuate the caramel taste.

If I could give this more then 5 stars I would! Probably my favorite so far. The fragrance when I opened the bag could only be described as heavenly. The flavor was sweet, slightly salty with the richness of the black tea to keep it from being too sweet. Add a dash of cream and it's like drinking warm melted caramel. Perfect for a desert tea or any time you want to relax with a sweet treat.
Very nice, but I feel like the butterscotch tea has more complexity to it as well as more aroma.
Don’t really get a caramel flavor. Have tried multiple degrees and minutes. Longer than 5 minutes and it’s gross
There is no tea I don't like, but this one, for me, was simply 'okay'. There was nothing special to make me want to reorder.

The number one reason that I like this tea is for it s versatility for mixing, and close behind that is it s aroma. I love the way that this smells so much. It perfumes any cup of tea that this is added to in such a pleasing way. I m very excited to use this in my chai blends this winter!

Been buying this tea for years. I love mixing it with other teas. I let my teas sit -brew 30 minutes before drinking. I bring it to a boil and turn off.
This is my go to morning tea. I like to have it with a splash of caramel coffee creamer. Heaven in a cup!
While a little bitter on its own, this is one of my favorite teas to blend with others like honeybush vanilla, peach, etc. Definitely great for dessert when mixed with other flavors!
Delicious, I ended up mixing it with my sleep tea. It has a warm flavor, with velvet taste. perfect by itself. I would recommend this to anyone with a sweet tooth.

This is an excellent dessert tea. I got it from the CommuniTea box in November and decided to order 3oz on my next tea order. The caramel flavor is a little subtle, but I prefer to taste the tea more than the added flavor.
I'm normally not a fan of flavored teas, but after the communitea sample I was hooked on this. The tea itself gets really bitter if oversteeped, but if steeping is properly timed it balances well with the flavor.

This is a solid black tea with mild caramel flavoring. The caramel gives a sweetness to the black tea that is reminiscent of drinking black tea with honey. Be careful to use only 1 tsp when brewing this one. At 2 tsp, this tea is so bitter as to be almost undrinkable. (3 min @ 212°F)
Gotta be super careful with your temp or this gets overwhelming bitter. Best at a lower than recommended temp with milk and sugar.
I made a sweetened latte hoping to bring out the sweet caramel notes but it is still a bit on the bitter side.

Delicious aroma that stood out. Reduce the temp for less bitterness! I added sugar for sweetness and was able to get a good second steep.
Caramel? Well, I get the top notes, it's sweet like caramel. But it has none of the bottom notes, the savory creaminess that I expect when I think of caramel. Personally, I would rename this tea something else. BUT. It is absolutely delicious, regardless of its misleading name.
The tea it has a nice caramel smell and flavor. The caramel was light in flavor and not overpowering. I would drink it again.
I thought it was on the bitter side. I should have read Jim R ‘s comment about brown sugar. I did not use cream either. Oh well. Tomorrow will be another day to experiment. Smile.
When I opened the bag, I was hit but such a nice smell. Brewed, it has a sort of molassesy taste that works very nice with a Little Rock sugar
It's good, but it does better blended with other things. Chocolate and cinnamon flavors are good with it and really enhance the flavor.
This was just an 'okay' flavored tea. I read the reviews saying this one turned out pretty bitter, so I brewed mine for just 2 minutes at 190 and added a touch of sugar. This eliminated any bitterness, but the caramel flavor was very subtle. This would have been great with a stronger caramel flavor!
