Love this so much!! Such a decadent treat with a little honey and heavy whipping cream it tastes like dessert!!
Bright Ceylon black tea accented with caramel. Rich dark aroma, molasses notes. Decadent cup and brown sugar finish.

Love this so much!! Such a decadent treat with a little honey and heavy whipping cream it tastes like dessert!!
Love a good dessert tasting tea. Satisfies a sweet tooth !
I tried this as a sample and was pleasantly surprised by how much the caramel flavor came through. Adding just a bit of milk and sugar makes it taste like dessert.
Delicious creamy taste. Plays very well in different blends. 🫖
I buy this regularly to mix with the Vanilla and Cream blends to create the Birthday Cake blend. Makes for a great wake up cup every morning! No sugar or cream needed.
Rich and not too overpowering with the caramel flavor. I probably won't order it again, but it's worth a try.
I thought I only liked this tea as a winter sip, but then I discovered that it is wonderful as an iced tea latte in the warmer months! I am especially fond of it mixed with chocolate tea. It is a good base for many tea blends and a fun one to experiment with. I usually add a little sugar to elevate the taste.
I add this to almost every cup I make to help set up a smooth tasting tea! Absolutely love!
Really like the flavor of this tea. I drink mine with cream sometimes and the flavor holds up . It is good even by itself. Just a light caramel flavor.
I like this tea alone, but often use it to mix with other teas to give it a bit of a dessert flavor.
A great tea to add to any of the nutty ones to create a whole new flavor!
tasting exactly like a piece of caramel from the corner store, this tea brings me home.
hands down, this is my new favorite.
I really liked this one... not bitter at all. Will order again.
Loved the caramel taste. I would definitely recommend this tea to other caramel flavoured lovers
Really nice, strong tea flavor. Although I suppose I did use a bit extra tea than usual my first steep. The caramel flavor is strong without being overwhelmingly sweet. It was very pleasant and reminded me of a long-discontinued caramel black tea from another brand that I loved. My other purpose in purchasing this tea wss to try it as a mix-in with other teas with complementary flavors. I have already tried it with the Year of the Tiger 2022 tea, and that was a success! Will be trying more concoctions with the caramel tea. @adagioteas
I loved this tea. I used it more to add caramel flavor to other teas. I find it great to be able to mix my own
Must-have tea. It's like English butter toffee, it's delicious on its own and it elevates many other teas if you add a bit of caramel into them (my general ratio of 1tsp other tea, 1/2tsp caramel in a 12oz mug)
Opening the bag (and container it was eventually moved to) always makes me hungry for candy. It smells just like a bag of caramels and the taste is very smooth.
I live this tea! You can definitely taste the caramel without it being overly sweet. If you like sugar in your tea you probably won’t need as much as the tea has a sweet flavor over all without it.
This is definitely one that smells better than it tastes. That said, I think it'd probably be useful for blending. I also noticed that the recommended 3-min. steeping time gave it a bit of a tinny, over-steeped taste. TL;DR: This tea is worth experimenting with, but it's not my fave.
Fantastic, the flavor is a bit faint but delicious. Will be ordering again.
Smells so good! The taste is as good as it smells. I enjoyed the smooth flavor.
What a surprise I love the caramely black tea. a new favorite
Great black tea. Be mindful of steep time or you can taste the black tea start to have a little bitterness to the after taste. Great with a little cream
Scent seemed a bit artificial, but could be good for blending.
The flavor is good but I think it would be better in a blend than it is by itself. It is decent, but I will probably mix the rest of my sample with other teas.
I never would have thought that I would love this tea, but I do! It is one of my favorites. It is so nice to drink on a cold day. Not as sweet as expected, and extra sweetener makes it even more delicious.
I love this tea, dark and robust but sweet aftertones @adagioteas
Still one of my faves to satisfy my sweet tooth!
Great on its own, stellar in a blend. I like to pair this one with vanilla black tea and cream black tea. Also perfect for grinding finely and adding to cookies for a dash of caramel flavor. This one is a staple!!!
Caramel truly does taste like caramel - exactly as it says! It is very sweet and will overwhelm spicier notes, such as cardamom and cloves. I added just a little rock sugar to mine and it just seemed to absorb that sweetness. I am personally not a fan of the taste of caramel, so to me this tea is only okay, but if you love the taste of caramel I think this would be a good tea for you!
I find a lot of the flavored black teas to be a little artificial tasting and bitter by themselves. Better blended, you know? But not so with the caramel. It's very nice! Not overly fake or cloying and is a flavored tea I would actually drink straight.
Could drink this every day! Rich and delightful! A fun flavor to add to my collection
This is a really good tea to mix with the almond and vanilla black teas.
It's very tasty, and wow does that caramel scent fill up the room! I do find it a tad overwhelming though, and as much as I want to blend it with other teas, it drowns everything else out so all I taste is caramel.
My sample and first purchase were very delicious, I had without added sugar or cream. I’m on my second bag, the flavor of this current batch has changed, it doesn’t have the unique burnt sugar notes and has taken on the flavor of anise. If this is an updated flavor, I prefer the previous burnt sugar one. I love strong tea but be careful not to over steep this one, it goes bitter.
Edit: gorgeous flavor is back, have ordered 2 or 3 large bags since, all of them have been spot on to the sample bag.
This is one of our favorite teas. It just brings happiness, especially when the weather gets cold in Wyoming.
good black tea that has nice caramel overtones and hearty flavor
I really enjoy sweets and this tea is really close to eating desert. I did add sugar, but I am really a sweet tooth. It is a great post-dinner tea with a biscuit.
Amazing dessert tea, does not even need any sweetener
I enjoyed this tea, but the caramel flavor was very subtle. I added a bit of rock sugar to prevent bitterness, and it would be lovely with a bit of cream as well. Next time, I ll try brewing at a lower temperature to see if the caramel notes are more pronounced. @adagioteas
I had gotten so used to Adagio's more strongly flavored teas that the subtlety of this one did not appeal to me at first. The caramel taste is soft and mild, and the more I drink it the more I like it. I would definitely order it again!
This is wonderful. Nice caramel flavor without being overly sweet.
I use cream n sugar. A cozy, warm flavor to me. Cooler weather tea for me.
Edit: updated to 5 stars! Either this tea has grown on me, or it is indeed much better when brewed at the suggested 3 minutes.
|The leaves smell so sweet and delicious! Once brewed, I wasn't sure how much taste it had, separate from the scent, so I thought I would be disappointed. I added honey (It definitely needed sweetener) and milk, and it then had enough 'something' different about it for me to enjoy. Of course after I made it I realized the bag said brew for 3 minutes, not 5, so this could have affected my cup.
Today’s CommuniTEA packet yielded a hefty helping of beautiful black caffeine, much appreciated on a Monday so at least one thing’s certain to go right! I steep all black tea at 195F to avoid bitterness but this is most needed with flavored Ceylon. Caramel especially benefits from lower temperature and at least some form of sweetener, otherwise it may as well be a straight Ceylon. On its own I do not find the caramel flavor to be particularly strong and I prefer this tea as a supporting ingredient in blends. Still delicious.
Yummmmmm, what a tasty dessert tea! I had this tea in lots of blends, but this is my first time to taste it on its own, and it is great all by itself!
Nice caramel flavors, but can become bitter as it cools. I prefer it mixed with honeybush vanilla, but occasionally drink it on its own. Adding brown sugar or a caramel syrup does help calm the bitterness and turns this into a pleasant dessert tea. I steep at 190º for 3 mins. Cheers!
super strong caramel smell! it doesnt taste nearly as strong as it tastes, but still makes for a rather tasty cup! its particularly nice alongside something sweet, as the caramel flavor really helps, especially if you drink the tea itself unsweeted as i do
