This is one tea where I'm glad the aroma doesn't match the taste. It is very aggressively caramel scented to the point where it is chokingly sweet. Luckily, the tea has a smooth caramel flavor that is not as intense.
Bright Ceylon black tea accented with caramel. Rich dark aroma, molasses notes. Decadent cup and brown sugar finish.

With out in any sugar very naturally sweet. I only added some cream and it was delicious. Only tried mixing it with the gingerbread blend and it was absolutely delicious.
Love to mix this with chocolate of vanilla teas. A good comfort tea.
I love this tea! Just the right amount of flavor without being too sweet!
I love it! It is not too much sweet, not too subtle.. It is perfect for me.
The caramel is quite good, though I wish it were more caramel-y.
Smells more like caramel than it tastes at first, but it has a good after taste.
This tea is delicious on its own, but I also love to blend it with other teas.
Posted the wrong review! this is an alright tea on it's own, but it is definitely better in a blend.
It smells amazing and exactly like caramel. Have a nice flavor that actually tastes like caramel. Great for mixing with other teas. I look forward to see what teas taste good with it.
I somewhat expected this tea to be like candy. The caramel flavor is nice, but weak. I had to add a lot of sugar and some cream to get the taste I was looking for.
I love this tea! It's rich and sweet, good with or without milk. On its own it makes a tasty cup and adds an extra dimension of flavor when blended (I've blended it with various unflavored black teas and flavored teas such as chocolate and chocolate chai with good results). Great as a dessert or 'treat' tea.
You know how it is when you're eating or drinking something, and you spend the whole time trying to decide if you like it or not? Yeah that's how I feel about this tea. I don't really like black tea, but that wasn't a problem here. The smell was great, but the flavor didn't live up to that--it was kind of weak and didn't taste all that much like caramel to me. I'm glad this was a free sample, because I don't think I would want to actually buy this.
So good I'm going to order a pound. My best friend LOVES caramel in general and when I let her try a cup her eyes grew round indeed. I had to promise her I'd share when I next placed an order just so that she'd let go of my sample!
It smells quite delicious, but the overall taste isn't that great. It leaves a slight odd aftertaste and isn't much of 'caramel' flavor.
Kinda reminded me of coffee but tea version. I guess this is what I will used as an alternative to coffee since I drink coffee for the taste rather than the caffeine.
I bought this tea mostly for blending purposes, but it's good on its own as well. Smells VERY strong in the bag, but don't let that deter you, as it doesn't taste nearly as caramel-y (which is a good thing). Add some sugar if you really want to bring out the flavor.
The caramel flavor comes out more as the tea cools. when I blend with it, it's a subtle note until the brew is chilled, and then it's very noticeable. I love to use it in pretty much anything to add that subdued note of sweetness and burnt sugar. Blends extremely well with smoky teas, spice, and fruit. Watch your water temperature, though!
I enjoyed this tea, it tasted very much like caramel in tea form. Perhaps it could have been sweeter, but most people like to sweeten their tea so that probably won't be a problem for you. Not to say it was bitter, either. I would recommend it for anyone who likes caramel flavor and tea.
This tea has a great carmel flavor and smell. I usually mix it with other flavors like apple chocolate.
I love this tea! Great caramel flavor and also blend well with other teas.
I like this tea iced, blended with honeybush vanilla.
Smooth and delightful!I really enjoyed each sip to the last drop.
smell the caramel? holly hell, yes. it was too strong, and worse, too fake and syrupy. it smells more syrupy than my Torani Caramel syrup! after I was done with the tea one afternoon, I rinsed my cup and left it on my kitchen counter, only to find my entire kitchen reeked of syrupy caramel until the next afternoon! I couldn't stand it, put the cup away into the dishwasher, only to find a syrupy caramel dishwasher until I ran a cycle! Don't even get me started on what it did to my trash bin until I took it out! I LOVE caramel, but not fake, syrupy, bash-me-over-the-head caramel.
The oddest part? While the fake syrupy caramel scent assaulted my sinus, I couldn't taste the caramel in the tea at all. Will not buy again. Ever.
Usually I don't drink tea, actually not at all, but a friend of mine recommended me and I decided on this tea randomly. I absolutely love it! I like mine a little stronger than most so I used more to a cup and steeped it a little longer and it was great.
It's an ok tea, the flavor doesn't really stand out to me I suppose. I wouldn't order it if I had other choices, but if it's in my cabinet I'll drink it!
(Updated) made in my Breville One Touch tea maker as opposed to me brewing it in my typical clumsy fashion, with a piece of amber sugar, perfectly perfect!
Absolutely Love The Caramel Tea Just The Right Sweetness Without Adding Sugar :)
This tea reminds me a bit of maple, which I wasn't expecting. But it's really tasty, and good with a bit of sugar as a dessert tea.
Nice, strong flavor. The caramel doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea, which is always a concern with caramel flavored things. This tea smells so wonderful that it was hard to allow it to steep like I should have!! Delicious!
A sweet, smooth and mild / mellow tea. Blends well with other flavors.
So warm and sweet and so very delicious. Best caramel flavored beverage ever and it doesn't matter if you add sugar or cream or drink it straight up. It's like drinking bear hugs and puppy snuggles.
Caramel is one of my favorite flavors and this is no exception. Love it!
Got this as a sample and was surprised by the smell when I opened the bag, it smelled great! This tea tastes just as great, I will be buying more!
This tea was just okay.
I'm not really loving it on its own? But this tea blended with others is pretty good.
The scent is fantastic but it was a little bitter on the first cup. Will try it with a lower temperature water and less time to see if it brings out more of the caramel flavor. Would be great to mix with a sweeter flavored tea.
The caramel flavor is great because it's the flavor of sweetness without actually having sugar (sweetening teas is an ebil, ebil business). All the warm bright caramelly bits are especially good if you let it get waaay tanin-y. Nommy contrast.
on it's own it's pretty good, though this is more of a building block it truly shines when blended, i personally like adding a bit of this w/ a chai (masala or chocolate work well) i want to try this with the apple flavor
Sweet - almost too sweet to be by itself! I tend to prefer the caramel in blends. it's very full-bodied and aromatic, and can almost be overwhelming by itself. I tend to mix it with other things (vanilla, chocolate, apple, nutty teas.) Also, better hot than iced.
Good buttery caramel tea that comes at a very fair price.
The caramel aroma wasn't as strong as I thought it might be, but the flavor was wonderful. There is a definite caramel after taste, which I like. Wonder how it would taste as iced tea?
This tea smells so strong!! I was really put off by the smell while it was brewing. Luckily it tastes absolutely wonderful.
I was suprised that I enjoyed this tea. It wasn't overpowering and very smooth.
STRONG flavor, and very sweet. Could easily be mistaken for a maple flavor, and is fantastic in blends (particularly a Butterbeer blend with cream and vanilla)
Personally, I felt this Caramel Black tea was somewhere between the range of bad and okay, leaning more towards the side of 'Eh...this is alright.' Out of the bag, the smell is very reminiscent of...well, I can't quite put my finger on it. There's definitely a caramel-y aroma to it, but I can't help but feel there's something else in there too. French Vanilla Coffee mayhaps? I don't know, call it what you will, but I wasn't overly impressed with the scent, even though I would say it's fairly accurate of what it should be. So moving onto the taste receptors, I would say that this isn't a tea to drink plain, especially if you're not into sweets or black teas in general. The Caramel really compliments and brings out the taste of the Black Tea, but only temporarily. Add a little bit of milk or sugar if you don't think you can handle it to make the experience a little more manageable. Oh, and if you're up for it, this tea makes a great blender for other teas such as Apple and Chocolate Black teas.
I really did not like this tea. In my opinion, it did not taste like caramel at all and the taste and smell really turned me off. It was a tiny bit better with milk and sugar, but not a great improvement. I would not drink this tea by itself again.
I got this as a sample with a green tea sampler I bought. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy it but I was wrong. It is wonderful. It has just the right amount of caramel with a wonderfully smooth aftertaste.
Really smooth and creamy, has almost a buttery flavor. Very enjoyable. I can see this becoming a favorite of mine.
I found the caramel flavor to taste a bit more like coffee to me, it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was expecting.
I love love this tea. It's got all the flavor of caramel but manages not to be too sweet like so many other caramel-flavored things.
When I brewed this tea, it smelled a bit bitter so I put a splash of milk in it. I though this tea was very good, though it still was a little bitter for my taste. Still, this is a nice tea and I'm sure it would taste good blended with other teas as well
