The tea smelled amazing and had a very mint smell and taste too. It is better when you only let it sit for a few minutes.
This wonderfully smooth, minty treat that will fill you with a warm Christmas spirit and leave you jolly. There's no need to wait for a visit from Old Saint Nick to enjoy this yuletide favorite.

The tea smelled amazing and had a very mint smell and taste too. It is better when you only let it sit for a few minutes.
This tea is absolutely wonderful. Just opening the bag, it smells like you died and went to candy cane heaven. I expected the tea to be incredibly sweet, but it's not. It's not overly minty either. The taste is instead an incredibly smooth black that leaves a cool feeling in your mouth - all around fantastic.
I'm not generally a big drinker of black teas either, but this might just be my new go-to. Time to order the big bag!
This tea is so much better than I was expecting. It's not exactly like a candy cane, it's more like one of those creamy butter mints that melt in your mouth which I actually prefer. No need to ad any sugar, though milk makes this tea incredible.
Nice tea that tastes like peppermint candy canes.
I *adore* this tea. It's just a little bit sweet and wonderfully, refreshingly minty. I'm so happy this isn't just available for holidays.
This tea smells fantastic! Just like peppermint! The taste and smell of the candy cane is much stronger than I anticipated but it is delicious! I will definitely buy this flavor again!
This one is delicious. It's both peppermint flavor, but also has a creamy sugary flavor to it that makes it so much more than just a peppermint tea.
I have never been a fan of minty drinks, but this candy cane tea has made me a believer! While a regular peppermint tea would be too much for me, the mix of candy cane pieces with a black tea base makes the perfect balance for me. Christmas-y, refreshing, and very tasty!
This tea was fabulous! It's the perfect peppermint without being an herbal tea. I love to drink it with a dash of peppermint creamer for a yummy dessert.
I love that the mint is very subtle in this tea. It's pretty great and would probably be good iced.
shared this with a friend, and she liked it. Really like that it has actual candy cane pieces in it.
I prefer other types of mint for day to day drinking (Casablanca Twist or Vanilla Mint are my favorite by far) but this tea has good flavoring, just not quite as enjoyable as the other two.
The mint in this tea isn't like regular mint tea - it's much more like the candy sweet mint in a candy cane. I like it MUCH more than mint tea!
I usually am not a fan of mint teas. This being said, lately I've been on a kick, so when I ordered teas I grabbed a sample of this one - because, festive! - and it is glorious. It's got an almost buttery vanilla flavor with the very obvious mint taste, which makes it taste like legit candy. Need to acquire more!
Extremely potent on the candy cane flavoring. I love peppermint tea, and always look forward to candy cane at Christmas. Worth the buy!
One of my new favorites! It both smells and tastes great. A lovely blend of peppermint and actual candy cane - it's refreshing and tasty!
I had high hopes for this tea and I was not disappointed. It looks, smells, and tastes amazing. It is a lovely peppermint-y black tea. And it definitely has a specifically candy cane flavour which is really fun. This is definitely going on my reorder list.
I wasn't sure if this would taste like a black-tea with mint or a stronger mint tea in general, but it actually tastes pretty close to a candy cane without tasting like pure mint. The initial taste is candy cane and the flavor throughout the sip is more black tea with that candy cane flavor.
While it's sweet and minty, but it doesn't really taste like a candy cane to me. Still, it's very tasty.
The candy cane quality definitely shines through in this tea. Hints of vanilla soften the peppermint and add a creamy undertone. It is naturally sweet, but even better with a little milk and stevia as the milk takes away the slight bitter finish peppermint leaves tend toward.
This tea is everything I could ever want in a tea. It's minty and sweet and really strong with only a short amount of time. It doesn't need any added sugar, but I like to put some almond milk in mine. Absolutely perfect in the morning or when I need to calm down.
Upon opening the bag of tea, you are struck with the strong smell of peppermint, though not so much a candy cane smell. I was hesitant as, despite my love of mints and candy canes, I am not the biggest fan of peppermint. However, once brewed (as recommended), it's a smooth tea with a good amount, but not too much, of peppermint. The reason this is only a 'good' rating though is that it doesn't remind me of candy canes really. I'd suggest the addition of sugar or other sweeteners will spruce it up just enough to be reminiscent. :)
When opening the bag it was like WOAH CANDY CANE. The taste after brewing a cup, like others have said, is not as strong but still quite nice. Im not a huge huge fan of minty teas - I prefer fruity ones - but this is still delicious.
Makes a good gift, I expect the person I purchased for will enjoy it
Great tea, minty but not overwhelmingly so. It really does taste like an actual candy cane. I had it with milk and didn't find that to be an odd combination at all.
It is so minty. Sometimes I don't like the strong candy cane flavour.
I read all the reviews before buying this tea, because I don't care much for peppermint teas. But I do love candy canes. For me, this was whiteout in its peppermint intensity. I tasted nothing else, and had to add some half and half to tame the peppermint. It's now in a glass jar in my tea cabinet, so my other tea doesn't become peppermint by association. I'm sorry, but it's just too peppermint and nothing else to my palate.
Can I rate higher than great? This is my favorite of Adagio's teas. I agree with the other reviewers who mentioned a creamy flavor, I think that's why I enjoy this so much. The creamy flavor and the minty flavor are good together. It's odd and different, but my absolute favorites. I switch out my tea in my tins as I go through them but Candy Cane has never been switched because I order some right away when I get low!
This tea is surprisingly creamy tasting. It doesn't just taste like minty tea. It actually tastes like a candy cane. It's really good with a hint of sweetness.
Tastes just like candy canes! How did y'all do that! Definitely one of my favorites!
This is a great tea, especially if you like peppermint, but feel overpowered by peppermint's flavor and aroma. Smells and tastes just like a candy cane, though it is less overpowering than one might think. The perfect holiday tea -- especially once blended with christmas tea. :)
I made a pot of this decaf peppermint black tea, and poured it out after a taste. It was a free sample included with my order. I just didn't enjoy the candy cane/black tea combo - it reminded me of mint shampoo. Just not my taste - I'll stick to fruit and decaf black tea combos.
Not too bad! Im not a huge fan of peppermint tea, but i thought Id give it a try.
The flavor is much warmer than I thought- there's a warm mouth buttery feel from the black tea that goes well with the candy cane/peppermint. Yum.
With a bit of milk and honey, this tea really stands out. It was a buttery depth to it that's just lovely.
Wow, I don't know what I expected, but it was not this! It actually does taste like candy canes with a little milk and sugar. Great tea, but a little bitter by itself, especially for the flavor.
Hands down my favorite tea from Adagio. It has a warm, buttery, mint flavor that is just strong enough without being overbearing. I look forward to this every time the holiday flavors become available.
perfect tea for the holiday season if you enjoy mint!
The smell and initial taste of this tea is amazing. However the aftertaste is a little off putting
This tea is delicious! It tastes exactly like a candy cane! It's minty but not overwhelming, and sweet too. One of my new favorites!
Everyone in the house really enjoyed this tea. Added a little bit of monk fruit extract to it and it was fantastic.
This tea is very confusing - it gave off different strengths of flavor, although nothing seemed to change in the making process. When strong, this tea is very in your face. I wouldn't say it tastes like a candy cane, but it is an odd minty flavor. It isn't bad, but isn't great - it's not sweet, really relies on the mint for the candy cane flavor. Disappointed, would not order again.
Tastes just like candy canes. I don't know how they do it.
How do they make this taste like an actual candy cane instead of just another mint tea?!?! Mind equals blown!
I'm a huge fan of anything peppermint and decided to try this tea out. Amazing!! Somehow they made it taste exactly like a candy cane. I have no idea how, but it's one of my favorite teas.
This is an fantastic holiday tea. I am sad when the cup is empty it tastes so good. It is a perfect peppermint flavor. For me it is better than an actual peppermint stick - my fingers are not all gooey after enjoying it!
A really good tea to have in your pantry around this time, the hot minty brew with very chilly weather works.
I got this tea as a gift for my secret santa swap.
This is a very interesting tea. It smells amazing, but when I started to drink it straight, it was too medicinal for my tastes. Adding cream and sugar really calms this tea's intensity and makes it more like a candy cane flavored soft mint. Much better!
Delicious by itself and with milk and sweeter. It's a really nice sweet mint black tea (obviously, it's called Candy Cane), but not too sweet that the mint gets overpowered.
