I'm not a fan of candy canes. But I am a fan of mint in teas so I gave it a shot with a sampler set I received last year for holidays. The Candy cane tea is one of the best mint teas I've tried without having to blend it with anything. The mint is just right, and pairs excellently with the good strong black base. The candy bits add just the right hint of sweetness for a perfect finish.
I think I should just avoid flavored teas, I never seem to like them. I was expecting something much more minty than this. Disappointed.
The tea is cloyingly sweet tasting. Of course, what did I expect from a called Candy Cane. This is the only tea I purchased that I did not love, so it may just be a personal quirk.

I was expecting a different flavor, but was not disappointed! This tea has a great minty flavor in smell, and in taste. The tea has a great 'back heat' mint tinge on the tongue. It has a very mellow 'marshmallow' taste, that I wish was more bold. I love this tea! I kinda want Adagio to try and make a 'peppermint bark' tea!
This was the perfect tea for the Christmas Holidays!

This is a very minty tea that leaves my mouth feel bright and clean. It is a very festive tea, but I'll be drinking it year round.
I don't tend to like black tea but I heard this is addictively good. It is quite a good flavor even for black tea!

Besides Christmas, this is my other seasonal favorite. It has a really strong pepperminty aftertaste, which I really like!
This is probably one of the most refreshing teas that I have had in a long time. The mint was perfect with everything else and made me feel wonderful. I added a little honey to mine (barely at all) just to make it slightly sweeter.
So much better without honey.

So yummy! There's a kind of 'candy cane' tea that I've been getting at a grocery store for years that's a delicious green blend, but this comes in as a close second. I expected it to be more of a black tea with mint than a black tea that actually reminds me of candy canes, but I was wrong. The color is wonderfully red from the candy pieces in the blend, and the flavor is really prominent. The candy pieces dissolve after the first brew, though, so a second brew won't be quite as strong or colorful. One tip: break off a small piece of a candy cane and melt it in the tea in lieu of using sugar if you want even more flavor.
The mint flavor was good, but there was an odd aftertaste.
I tried this in a sample and loved it so much that I bought 16 ounces for 'year round'!
This doesn't smell like candy canes until hot water hits it. It would be a wonderful drink for those with a cold, but not an 'every day tea'.
When I opened the package, this tea smelled exactly like candy canes and I could see a few hints of red pieces in the blend. Once brewed I got more of the black tea and peppermint leaf aroma. I think I might have preferred a purely peppermint tea (as opposed to the black tea blend) but it did have a nice cooling peppermint flavor.
This tastes like christmas to me. The caffeine is a nice jolt, and the peppermint is soothing.
Interesting sensation drinking a hot tea that makes your mouth feel cold! Very strong minty taste, but more like a tasty toothpaste than a candy cane, in *my* mouth's opinion.
I'm a big fan of black tea, but my first love is peppermint herbal for the flavor. This blends my favorite flavor with my favorite leaf. :D The black tea gives that nice earthiness finished by a slightly sweet mintiness.
I really enjoyed this wonderful combination of flavors. It is just as it is described and a wonderful minty tea to have any time of year, but especially at the Christmas time. Love it!
Once you open the lid to the tin, the smell is just so amazing it makes my mouth water. Had this tea when it was in a holiday sampler a few years, maybe two ago. and I love it. The blend with the candy canes and black tea is very well done. Besides, I'm glad to see that candy canes have a real after winter-holiday use! I enjoy this tea mainly on my morning commute to class in the winter time. It's a great mood lifter.
(Update 11.29.15) Super glad I decided to order the big bag. It will certainly come in handy for the next month... Who am I kidding, it won't last that long .)
It definitely tastes like mint, but even steeped for a short time was very strong.
Smelled divine in the tin, but was a bit much brewed. It's a solid tea, just not my favorite.
This tea was pretty good. It tasted more like just peppermint black tea than a candy cane but was not bad.
The candy cane flavoring is just enough and not overpowering at all. You can mainly taste the tea itself and a light flavoring of the candy cane. It is seriously so great, a must have for the holidays~

I thought I would love it, but it is almost bitter and I added Splenda, kind of disappointing may be if I mix it with something else.

This became my favorite tea with just one sip! I don't typically like sweet teas at all so I was very wary of this one to start with because of the actual pieces of candy cane in the tea, but this tea doesn't taste overly sweet. The taste is very pepperminty and exactly like a candy cane. The dry tea is heavenly to smell and it tastes just like it smells, which I sometimes find to not be the case. The first time I ordered I got the 3 oz bag (instead of the typical sampler size I usually get) based on a friend's recommendation, and I wished I had gotten the 16 oz bag instead! Within just a few weeks I had reordered more because I realized my bag was not going to last until my next order.
Just found my new favorite tea, I love this tea. It is minty and has a smooth taste. It has even helped me with my stomach issues. I will buy this again and not just around the holidays. Great Tea to have on hand. My kids even enjoy it and they are 14,10 and 8. I came back to buy a larger bag. I bought the sample size to try different ones I have yet to try. So glad I tired it.
I love a minty tea and this is perfect. More of a lift than drinking straight herbal peppermint (that's more a nighttime relaxation tea for me). I've been having it as a second cup in the morning to add a zip to my step as I go about my work tasks. There were no big chunks of candy cane in my batch. In fact, I didn't really see any candy cane bits in my tea at all. I'm a big fan of Tevana's White Chocolate Peppermint and this is refreshingly different (and cheaper) than that. In short I recommend trying a sample if you are inclined to like peppermint tea.
Candy cane is aromatic and tasted like peppermint.
This is Chistmas in a mug! It has a powerful Candy Cane scent and great mint flavor. We will be drinking a lot of this in the days ahead.

I have never found a candy cane tea I liked... until this. The peppermint is perfect. It has a subtle sweetness, but the pleasant bite of mint. I had mine with a touch of honey and cream. Perfect.
Horrible. So disappointed. I saw it had some good reviews, but it tastes like there is something wrong with it. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but it tastes just wrong. You could do much better than this, Adagio.

I tried to like this tea -- I expected something sweet and minty...but oh god, the SMELL from this bag...something about this smells super off. I get sick to my stomach getting a whiff of it every time. I thought it'd be better once it was brewed but the smell stayed. I couldn't appreciate the flavor because the smell made me gag each time.
The taste of candy cane in this tea is amazing. Such a perfect holiday tea. I'm definitely buying some more in December!

I'm a black tea drink, so I absolutely loved this tea. Just like the name describes, it has a sweet mint flavor. One of my all time favorites.
It was very mild. I will be trying to mix it with other teas I ordered to see if it can sweeten the very bitter chocolate tea.
Too weak of a candy cane flavor on its own. I crushed up a couple candy canes and added them to the tea. That made an interestingly pepperminty sweetened tea. I discovered my favorite way to drink this tea when I accidentally oversteeped it. I added cream, and that made a really nice drink. I don't drink tea with cream or sugar usually, but this one is good!
