I got this tea as a free sample for my wife because she loves Candy Apples. I thought it would be the 'red' type of candy apple but it is actually a Carmel apple flavor.
A taste reminiscent of the carnival favorite with sweet caramel and fresh apple notes.

I didn't know candy apples had spices in them. I was a bit disappointed in the cinnamonish flavor along with that tea. Aside from that, I did like the apple taste.
This is a nice sweet treat on a cold winter morning.
I love the smell of the loose tea when I opened the bag and the tea is very aromatic, but not the 'candy apple' I was looking for. Lots of tangy apple without the sweetness of the candy. A bit of honey did the trick.
I was definitely hesitant about this tea. When I smelled the leaves in the bag, all I could taste was cough syrup. Luckily, the tea doesn't brew up with that taste at all. The caramel hint was just enough to give you a sweet, candy apple aftertaste, and the apple notes were surprisingly good. Try it1
flavorful. The apple flavor really is enhanced with just a hint of honey.
This was good, but there was a faint unpleasant aftertaste. I have other blends with the apple pieces and cinnamon which I like, so I suspect it was something in the 'natural caramel apple flavor' that disagreed with my palate. I'm not sure what it was, and I can't really describe it, but I won't order this one again.
This is sweet and caramelly and wonderful! The balance with the apple is just right!
This was interesting. The aroma of the tea prior to brewing was indeed sweet and candy-like. But after brewing the flavor mellowed out, leaving top notes of caramel and a lingering juicy finish. My only recommendation for this tea is that the flavor be stronger. Although I suppose I could always brew with more tea.
This is a great tea with a lot of flavor and character.
This seems like a tea that would be improved by mixed with some other flavors. The 'candy' part is slightly misleading since it is more like caramel as other reviewers have said (when I hear candy apple I think the red sugar glazed type), but the flavor is interesting. Definitely one to experiment with!
Smells of caramel as you bring it to your lips, ends on a tart note. So, not exactly a CANDY apple. Maybe a CARAMEL apple. I don't sweeten my tea but this one would probably benefit from it-just to add a sweetness to the apple flavor.
It tastes just like a Candy Apple, it's not overpowering either. Adding this to my favorites.
This tea smells delicious, literally smelling just like a candy apple! I liked the sweetness in combination with the fruitiness, but I'm not sure yet if I would buy a full size. Good thing there's enough for more than one cup in the sample!
I didn't find this to be too artificial but it was also not too candy. It was mellow but not too much of any of the flavor notes to really find anything 'oomph' with the flavor. I will say that adding Fireball to it was definitely an improvement.
One of the better Adagio's tea, just perfect, not to strong flavoured and perfect for winter.
Tastes more strongly and noticeably of dark caramel than apples. The apple taste is there, but very faint. I would have preferred a more equal balance. But the caramel scent and taste is pleasant and balances well with the dark crisp black tea. A solid if somewhat bland blend.
Nice pleasing caramel-apple flavor, though the caramel was a lot stronger than the apple for me. I'll finish the sample pack, but I don't know if I'd buy a full bag.
Nice hint of apple without being too cloying, but occasionally has a bit of an artificial aftertaste.
This had fake flavor. I'm giving it an ok because most of the fan blends I have tried are better.
This tea smells absolutely amazing, both out of the bag and freshly brewed! Tastes pretty good! I wish it had stronger apple note, but definitely worth purchasing.
I like this tea, but I wish there was a little more of the apple flavor coming through. I'm mostly getting just caramel. It smells absolutely heavenly, though.
I was skeptical that anyone could accurately capture the flavor of a candy apple in a tea bag, but somehow, they've done it! The tea offers just the right blend of apple crispness and caramel sweetness. A perfect autumn treat!
This is one of my favorite teas I have had. This one is great for fall and it really does taste like a candy apple- I have gone back and bought several replacements after my first bag I would recommend this one to anyone who likes apples and fall teas!
It does taste a little funny but it's good enough for me, though when I mixed it with leaves from the vanilla tea it tasted way better.
Perfect blend of caramel and apple without tasting artificial.
This tea is not strong enough, which was disappointing. I brewed it quite strong, and the flavour is still not coming through like I hoped it would. It's sweet, but the apple hides behind the sweetness too much for my tastes.
I love this tea! It is great for after dinner sweet treat.
I tried a sample in the store and thought it was good. I brewed a pot and it was horrible. Bitter and had nothing of the 'candy apple' flavor.
It's a nice cup of tea for sweet sipping. Add a bit of sugar or honey and it makes a nice dessert tea. Not as cloying as the other varieties of 'holiday teas'. Simply a nice tea to finish the evening.
Very caramelly!!!
I initially thought this would be very sweet, but it turns out to have a very pleasant aroma and a not-too-sweet taste- very enjoyable
So, I just finished this tea and the smell will absolutely not go away--and I couldn't be happier! While this might be a bit overly sweet for some, I figure if you're ordering a tea called 'candy apple' you know what you're getting into, so don't come into this expecting something bitter or tangy or anything rather than sweet, really, because it is VERY much so. I usually take a teaspoon of sugar with my tea, but I might recommend lowering that. Definitely try it before you commit to any sweetener. I loved it, though, and while I definitely see why it isn't for everyone, it certainly lives up to its name and is a good appley option for anyone who isn't really feeling the chai.
It's like fall in a cup! Strong caramel and cinnamon overtones add to the flavor from the apple pieces.
I got the sample size of this because it seems so perfectly fall but I ended up putting trying it off a bit because I expected it to be a bit artificial tasting or really tart. It ended up being really great and the perfect amount of apple
This tea had a strange smell. Not exactly what I was expecting. I brewed it, and I would drink it occassionally, but not an everyday tea for me.
it is a nice tea with a great aroma works great as a blend and has a kind of an apple cider feel to it good one to keep on hand
A nice fall tea. Cream and sugar really enhance the flavor of caramel and apple.
A very nice hot cup. I was afraid the apple was going to taste too fake, especially since it's called 'candy apple.' Instead, it was a nice cup of black with apple overtones.
The aroma of this tea is wonderful. The caramel really stands out and combined with the apple it can end up smelling like maple sugar and cinnamon oatmeal. I didn't get any sweetness at all on its own but with a bit of sugar the candy apple really pops. I didn't get any of the tang other reviews have mentioned but overall this is a very good tea. Will definitely stock this for the holidays.
I wasn't expecting much from this tea, and I'm glad I tried it anyway. This tea is sweet, but not over-sweet. The apple taste is distinct and up-front, and then followed by caramel. This requires no sugar or milk, and is good as-is.
This definitely tastes like a candy apple. Other reviews I've read have said that this tea is too tangy, the thing is I think it has a nice blend of both the apple and the caramel. Definitely not something I would drink on the norm though, it's a good seasonal tea perfect for halloween though.
I thought this was perfect! Says a lot for me as I've tried a lot of teas and the flavored teas as almost always a miss for me. The key for me is exactly three minutes to brew and using the ingenuitea. Smooth, not over or underwhelming and not artificial tasting at all. I'll be buying a full size. Very easy to over steep.
I first had this tea at a friends house and from that moment on I was in love with it! I'm still figuring out how to get it just right since sometimes the after taste is a bit weird for my liking, I'm very picky about tea. But this is very nice and great with some honey and sugar!
A great seasonal flavor that might not be for everyone and only on special occasions.
This tea is a bit too sweet and flavored for me. I tend to like unflavored teas, so it might be great for some but for me it is too much. It tastes better piping hot than cooled.
Apple candy wasn't the greatest. I couldn't teast the apple flavor but I brought a bag so I could try it again. Maybe the favor was hidden behind all the other teas I tasted.
I was expecting more of a burst of flavor given this tea features a very sweet and intense flavor. I was disappointed that it was quite lackluster. The flavor was very dull. it tasted like a lightly sweetened black tea. I did buy this tea on sale in July...so maybe this particular bag had been sitting around for over 9 months and lost its flavor that way. But, yeah, I wouldn't get this one again.
I prefer green tea in mixes but this was ok for a black.
Mildly sweet and smooth with a hint of spice. Better with honey to get the full sweetness of this tea, along with adding some milk. Nice substitute for the now discontinued apple tea in blends.
