This tea is so good! The flavor is amazing and with a touch of cream it's even better. It's right up there with my favorite vanilla chai. Will order again!
Smelled amazing, but the flavor was a bit medicinal.
The flavors were well balanced in this tea. Yummy chocolate meets cherry liquor. I do prefer more of a natural cherry flavor but the cherry liquor flavoring was not overwhelming in this one.
This tea sounded delicious and I was excited to order it but I was underwhelmed by the flavor balance. When I opened the bag and sniffed, it smelled very strongly of cherry flavored alcohol. Possible a pro for some but not for me personally. You can taste the cherry, which doesn't taste like cought syrup (a plus) but I wish the chocolate flavor was a bit stronger.
This is a very nice chocolate tea but I really don't taste the cherry. The chocolate is subtle as well.
I was expecting just sweet flavor of chocolate but this was different. Chocolate is the main flavor but right after the taste of chocolate comes a creamy taste of cherry. Delicious, would order again

There's an immediate fragrant aroma of chocolate and cherry. The flavor is naturally sweet, creamy and chocolate-forward. I delightful tea that is great alone or with dessert.
I got this for my mom; here’s her review: Freshly brewed, the tea smells strongly of fake-y chocolate. It tastes fairly good, but the aroma is unavoidable, which definitely takes away from the enjoyment of the tea in general.
When I was a kid my mom would make a black forest torte. Five layers of thin chocolate cake with whipped cream in between layers, and than cherries. It was my absolute favorite. This tea reminds me so much of that torte. Fantastic! Three minutes 195°F
This tea is heavenly! It is one of my new favorites. It smells delicious. The chocolate and cherries blend nicely for a truly sweet taste. I added a bit of cream to the mix, and it has become a new evening treat for me.
Chocolate and cherry? How can you lose? This is yummy with cream and sugar and just for added enjoyment, a bit of whipped cream on the top. Luscious dessert tea!
This is definitely a tea that pairs well with milk and sugar. The cake part aspect only comes out to play when those are added, but wow does it come out to play! The chocolate flavor is especially powerful.

A great tea when compared to store bought brands, an okay tea when compared to the catalog of teas on Adagio. In my opinion the cherry notes seemed a bit manufactured; however, it is described as a “cherry liquor” flavor, so that might be what I am picking up.
Smells and tastes just like a piece of cake. I have been wanting to try this since it got released.
I have found my sweet spot to brew this tea up to my liking. For me, less is more. I use 1 perfect teaspoon of tea to 9 oz of water. I also brought that temp down to 195F and steep for 3 minutes to avoid bitterness. I add a bit of sweetness to bring out the chocolate notes. This works for me to tame the cherry flavors. Sip, sip away!
One of my favorite Adagio blends! Black Forest Cake is also one of my favorite bakes, so I was really excited to try this one from the 2021 Advent Calendar, and even more thrilled when Adagio released it for purchase. As Shelly suggests in her review, less is definitely better for this tea- use slightly less tea leaves, and set your water temp lower to temper any bitterness. I always add a bit of sugar to my brew for an extra sweet treat.
I really enjoyed this new tea. It has good chocolate flavor and the cherry notes are not medicinal at all. I would repurchase.
New favorite! This is a perfect “dessert tea,” when served with a little cream (and sugar, according to my husband). The chocolate notes are pleasant and the Cherry is perfectly balanced between tart and sweet, without tasting artificial.
I really do get the lack forest cake flavor profile in this blend. Chocolate and tart cherries make this a decadent blend.

This is pretty good. I really like the chocolate chip and chocolate truffle teas and drink them a lot. I'm not so crazy about cherry. Sort of reminds me of cough syrup. However, this chocolate-cherry combination is good. The cherry isn't too strong. I'd buy it again.

Lovely dessert taste. I enjoy this as a tea latte with a foamy top. Next I’m going to try it on ice
I was surprised at how rich this tea is. The cherry flavor is both sour and sweet, and the chocolate flavor is rich and strongly 'dark chocolate.' On its own, it's robust enough that it could make for an interesting breakfast tea. Adding milk and honey really brings out the sweeter notes.
This is the first one I had to try after it was delivered. Oh, my. So satisfying and tasty. And the scent while drinking it, heavenly.
This is definitely a dessert tea, very satisfying chocolate taste. I like mixing it with other teas as well. Not my choice though for a morning tea, unless adding a touch to earl grey.
I wasn't sure if I would like it or not as I'm not usually fond of anything involving cherries. However, the aroma and flavor reminds me of chocolate covered cherries, which I do love.

This is really tasty, and exactly what I wanted! It's lovely as a latte, and it's a little dessert pick me up mid-day. If I'm feeling the craving for chocolate, this is my go-to.
