This is a nice blend of crisp black tea and almond flavor. It's just a little sweet, but not overwhelming with the almond.

A surprise! I didn't think this would be up my alley, but it turned out to be just what I needed! This blend has the perfect amount of almond flavoring, and would pair nicely with some sugar cookies and a splash of cream. I'll definitely be adding this one to my wishlist for a future purchase 🥰

This morning's CT packet yields a light and inviting scent of almonds, but no surprise bits scattered amongst the leaves. We're going back to basics with this tea, so let's get to steeping!

While the CT packet recommends 212°F, I saw more than one person caution on this tea's bitterness at that temp and opted to steep at 195°F instead. A splash of oat milk and a pinch of sugar quells any lingering bitter notes, and the almonds rise smooth and mellow to the fore. It's a pleasant flavor, reminiscent of marzipan. As the cup cools, the flavor stays pleasant and light, making this a great cup for those slow-starters who need a morning pick-me-up without an aggressive flavor profile.
(3min @ 195°F, w/sugar & oat milk)

Of the base nutty flavors, this is one of my favorite. The aroma may be very nutty, but the flavor is just right.

The first brew I steeped at 3 min and was very bitter. The second brew I steeped at 2 min and was much better as it was smooth and almondly. I think this would be a great base in a blend but alone it lacks sparkle.

Wow I am really loving the almond flavor of this tea! I added raw cow cream and 1 tsp of raw sugar and oh my I am in heaven. It really hit the spot today! Delicious! The almond flavor when sipping is perfectly balanced. The smell of the tea has me worried it would be artificial or too strong but the taste wasn't. This is a really enjoyable tea! I can see it being even better for blending.

This tea was just o.k. It was enhanced by the addition of coconut creme creamer.

Almond is a successful flavored black in my book! My running complaint with Adagio’s flavored blacks is sometimes they are too light in flavor and too bitter. Almond is neither of those things. Adagio’s almond flavoring often creates a house divided, some feel it is too dessert/marzipan-esque, but I adore it! Sign me up for the almond dessert train, I guess! If I had to pick one almond tea on my own, I would still reach for almond oolong, but this one did surprise me. It’s a pretty delicious cup! Happy Sipping!

Almond is one of my Adagio staples. I love it so much that I keep it on hand at all times! It is delicious black but I also love it with cream and some almond syrup to pump up the almond flavor even more. It also makes a flavorful cold- brewed iced tea!

CommuniTEA Tea - I do like almonds but this one just doesn't quite cut it. There is some almond flavor there, but seems to have a strong/bitter aftertaste. I know it's a Ceylon, so steeped lower temp for a shorter duration, but it didn't help much. It's not a bad tea but not one I would really drink again.

I didn’t get much almond flavor. If anything it took some of the edge off the black tea. I’d also stir this close to the end of the cup as I got nothing but bitter flavor on the last sip.

I love almonds. This tea tastes more like the sweetened marzipan type versus the raw almond type. I brewed at a lower temperature (195F, 3min) to avoid most of the bitterness, which left only a hint of bitterness and marzipan. Overall it tastes good, but I would probably prefer it to be mixed with other flavors and not drink it on its own.

Brewed at 180° for 4 minutes to avoid any bitterness. I really enjoyed this tea. The black tea was nice and the almond flavor was just right. The aroma was really nice as well.

This was a simple black tea. Not much to it outside of the almond flavor. I would like it mixed with Maple Oolong

To avoid bitterness, I steeped this tea at 195F for 2.5 minutes. The results were a lovely deep orange brew with a sweet almond flavor. It reminded me of spritz cookies, almond cakes, and marzipan. Sip, sip away!

Smells like spritz cookies. Just almonds and black tea. Simple. Simply wonderful.

A wonderful tea with a delightful almond flavor. The nutty taste pairs well with brisk Ceylon that offers some pleasant astringency. With careful brewing, any bitterness is nicely avoided. This tea resteeps well using less water and the almond flavor although, a little milder, is still tasty. Chilled, the cold tea has a gentler flavor than the hot version. If a sweet marzipan flavor is more to your liking then Almond Oolong is a good one to try which veers away from the more strident almond taste of this black tea.

My CT packet had 5 g/ 2 ¾ tsp of heavenly almond scented tea leaves. Brewed 18 oz. at 195*F for 3 min. The medium brown liquor was sippable plain but my sweet tooth won out and I added agave. It softened and sweetened the divine nutty flavor to deliciousness. I didn’t add dairy but I think this tea takes one well. I love how this flavor is good hot or cold and almond is always a favorite.

UPDATED from 1/12/21 The almond aroma is strong in the Communitea packet, as the dark tea leaves steep (at a lower temp than recommended) into a beautiful orange amber. The aroma and flavor is almond, with an astringent finish. This tastes like a marzipan candy I had as a child. If you like sweets made with that, you will love this tea. If the flavor seems too strong, add ¼ teaspoon of sweetener and some cream, and it smooths out nicely. Still has an astringent finish, but there is no bitterness due to the lower steeping temp, and can be steeped twice. (3 mins @190F + sweetener and cream).

Absolutely delicious. The smell is a wonderful marzipan when you open the bag, and then the tea is delightful. I like it on its own or mixed with black cherry tea.

This one is not for me. I just didn’t find the almond flavor to be very appealing, which is unexpected since almond is one of my favorite flavors in general. It tasted (and smelled) artificial in an off-putting way. There’s a ton of good reviews, though, so if you like almond it’s probably still worth trying for yourself.

This is exactly the marzipan fairytale I was dreaming of. The almond flavors are very strong, and this tea has a natural sweetness to it. I may try steeping it at a slightly lower temperature in the future to eliminate a bit of the bitterness, but the flavor is right on the mark.

If you enjoy the richness of almond, this is the tea for you. It is an easy tea to mix with others such as caramel tea. A wonderful flavor experience.

This tea is so good!!! It’s like an almond joy without the chocolate. I am dying to try it iced. My favorite thing about almost every adagio tea I’ve tried is they are SO well balanced. You have to try it to believe it. My 1st sip always results in the happy tea dance

Tastes as great as it smells. When I opened the bag I was immediately excited and couldn't wait to taste this tea. If you love almond, this is a great tea for you. Not at all bitter. Aromatic and full of flavor. I found no desire to add extra sugar. Drank with Sown-Sweet & Creamy Oat Creamer which turned this tea into a true dessert. So yummy!
