I bought this for my pastor who loves almonds. He continues to talk about how great the tea is, and ended up ordering a large bag himself. I myself like this tea as well. It is not overpowering but you still recognise the almond flavour.
Ceylon black tea with a touch of almond. Plush mouthfeel, creamy marzipan notes, nutty sweet, balanced astringency.

DOESN'T MATTER HOW GOOD THE TEA IS WHEN THE COMPANY BILLS YOUR CREDIT CARD EIGHT TIMES FOR THE SAME ORDER AND YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO CORRECT IT BECAUSE THEIR WEBSITE DOESN'T LIST ANY CONTACT INFORMATION. BE CAREFUL ORDERING HERE!
Almond is subtle, but amazing. Very creamy, sweet almond flavor. I like it steeped until really strong. It's REALLY good mixed with other flavors, too. (Just tried peach almond and it was sooooo good)
My father seems to love this, but to me it is pretty bland on it's own. I plan to use it as a mix, and so far I have mixed it with the Carmel. It is pretty good together honestly.
This one had me pleasantly surprised. I've had almond tea from other sources before and wasn't impressed, but this one is great. Mix with Cherry for a Maraschino taste.
This tea is matched almost perfectly to an almond tea I used to drink at a Victorian tea parlor.
While I was expecting something a little more like amaretto from this tea, the taste is one of simple, unadulterated almond. It's definitely not sweet on its own, but if you just enjoy the taste of the nut itself, this is exactly what you're after.
This one has a strange, chemical-y taste to it. Unexpected, and a bit strange, but the tea isn't all that bad.
this is definitely a new favorite! It smells like sweet cherries when you first open the bag.
I mix it with caramel... it's pretty much awesome that way. :) I love the hint of almond.
I brewed this again. It is quite tasty on it's own or with a little cream and sugar. It's best with sugar though. This is also a good choice for blends if you want a cherryish, sweetish dessert tea for drinking.
Very tasty, gives a sense of cream and hint of sweetness.
Very very sweet flavored black tea. I don't always go for almond-flavored things (amaretto, etc), but this was subtle enough that I liked it. I do have to be in a a particular mood for it, though.
I blended this with the Summer Rose tea, and the result is a rich dessert tea with a hint of roses. The almond taste is great blended, but I haven't tried it on its own yet.
This is a good over all tea for me i love to add it with others and its good just plain.
This is mainly a strong black tea flavor, all intense tannins, with an aftertaste that is surprisingly creamy, and slightly like marzipan. Not very nutty, nor strongly flavored. It is a nice gentle twist for those who already like black tea. For a kicked up almond flavor, definitely go with almond oolong, which is all about the fruity/marzipan flavor.
I enjoyed this tea. The almond flavor was pleasing and strong enough without taking over. If I'd had a larger package, I think I'd have liked it blended with other teas. I'll try that with the larger package I order next time!
I feel like it doesn't have quite the oomph that Chestnut has for me. It's good but I'm glad I got it as a free sample and didn't buy it. It doesn't have the richness that I was looking for but it smells amazing and is nice for a light black tea.
I love almond teas, and this was no exception. Be careful not to steep too long, or it becomes very bitter. I add a little milk and it i perfect.
I've always been a fan of anything almond, so I really wanted to try this tea. Opening the pouch, it smelled like those Chinese almond cookies, and I was won over from the start. Love at first sniff. When brewed though, the flavor is not overwhelming. It's a great way to start the day and very flavorful.
One of my favorite teas. I love to use this tea in the blends I make and it is also great as a stand alone flavor
This tea smells great and I enjoy the taste as well. My only complaint is that it leaves a bad aftertaste.
Very strong smell, but milder taste when brewed. becomes bitter if brewed too long.
Very good if you like your tea nutty. The nut flavor is quite strong. But I enjoy it!
This one has a nice, mild flavor. I especially like it blended with a little coconut.
a wonderful almond smell, and nutty taste. a good staple for everyday cuppa.
The almond smells very strong but it doesn't overpower the flavor.
Great almond flavor. With sweetener and a splash of milk, reminiscent of toasted almond ice cream bars.
Absolutely amazing. A nice cup of tea to relax with on a really cold day!
Honestly it was like drinking a petit four.So good and extremely rich. Going to have to make a blend with this.
The almond flavor is very nice, but the black tea does have a cheap bite to it. Not very impressed.
really, really good tea. I am an almond freak anyway. My youngest son, who swears he hates anything almond, liked it too (perhaps he just doesn't know what almond really tastes like!). Definitely not more than 3 minutes steep time.
Nutty teas are my favorites and I usually know what I'm getting into but this almond tea took me by surprise. It wasn't what I was expecting - at all. While Adagio's hazelnut tea gave me exactly what I expected (and wanted), this almond tea is much, much... brighter? lighter? tasting than I thought possible. It's not that it's bad - because it's not. In fact it's perfect in it's own way - I merely have to remind my brain to give this tea another mulling over on the subject of if that's what it REALLY wants before I brew it.
If nothing else, this tea is certainly 'peppy' for a nutty tea. In all the right ways.
In the bag it smells very like marzipan. Brewed it tastes more nutty with a hit of that almond sweetness. I really enjoyed it!
I love this tea after a busy day. Calms me down! Also like to mix it with other black teas.
This tea is like heaven in a cup! The flavor tastes like marzipan, more than natural raw almond flavor. It's sweet, but not overly so. Very yummy as a dessert tea, or even good mixed with Cream tea, chai or a classic English breakfast.
Subtle almond flavor, but just enough to come through. Delicious as a dessert tea, or an anytime tea if you have a sweet tooth (like I do).
I wanted to try this tea to see what the flavor was - for the sake of making blends, mostly. I'm not really an almond fan. It was pretty well balanced, though, and with enough cream it was pretty good... but probably is not one I will order on its own again, as I'm just not big on almond flavor most of the time. I may, however, use it in blends in the future, now that I know what the actual note of it tastes like.
I guess I just don't like black tea. I prefer the almond oolong to this.
The almond scent and flavor are quite marzipan-like, a little heavy on the tongue and sweet. Which is fine by me, as I planned on using it as a dessert tea anyway. But it does have a slight bitter aftertaste unless you underbrew it (2 minutes seems to work instead of 3). Can't wait to blend this one with cherry! And maybe make a cake blend with vanilla and cream.
Great tea for dessert/after dinner. I add milk and a small bit of sugar, but it's also wonderful unsweetened. Tip: don't let it steep too long. It can get a little tannin-y.
Great smell average taste. It didn't impress me but found it to be ok.
I have always loved almond tea and this is one of the best. A very full flavor with a strong almond scent. This is definitely a thumbs up tea!
The almond fragrance is much stronger than the actual flavor.
My favorite flavored tea - just smelling the leaves is a treat, and after steeping the almond flavor stays strong without becoming bitter or overpowering. I enjoy it black just as much as with milk and sugar!
Very Strong almond flavor. Tastes a lot like artificial almond.
So so so good with milk and sugar as a desert tea. It's fantastic for blending, but I like drinking this one straight more than I do the other nut flavors.
Cheap Amaretto punch in the face. Just atrocious and undrinkable..
I loved the almond oolong that I picked up last winter, so I decided to try this almond black tea also. It has the same sweet but not over-sweet notes, and the same great scent.
I wouldn't suggest adding anything to this or it makes it almost sickly sweet. It has a interesting smell and taste.
