This tea smells absolutely incredible - like fresh almond cookies. Unfortunately, the scent is the only part of his tea that boasts almond, well, anything.
While the tea itself is good, there is just too little almond flavor in this tea for me to rate it anything more than OK.
This came as a free sample (yay free samples!), but alas, I couldn't even finish the bag. Had to throw it out. I hate wasting tea, but ugh. Strong chemical/rubbing alcohol smell from the leaves, I thought maybe it would even out after steeping. Nope. Still strong enough to knock you over. Hard to hold your breath and drink tea at the same time.
I am a huge fan of this tea - easily one of my favorites, especially when you add a little almond milk.

This does not taste like almonds. Not even slightly, just an overbearing cherry taste. I was really looking forward to this, too.

My first impressions after drinking 6 cups over the last week are in agreement with what many others have written. Strong marzipan, and weaker cherry, notes on the nose, suggesting a dessert tea. The flavor is mild and smooth (lighter-bodied than the Adagio chestnut or hazelnut teas), with a hint of cherry. I myself was hoping for more of almond's characteristic flavor and bitterness, especially after finding good characteristic nut flavor in the Adagio chestnut and hazelnut teas. The sweetness of marzipan here crushes any subtle nut flavors that might be present, and renders this tea one-dimensional. The base tea here is non-tannic and of good quality.
I would give this a 2.5 as it was ok but I personally didn't like the flavor.
Almond is nice, doesn't have enough depth to drink by itself,but with some coconut milk this is super good.
It's a pretty standard almond tea, nothing too crazy. Might blend well with a vanilla and a little cinnamon. :)
This may be the best black tea I've had. It isn't bitter and the almond flavor is perfect.

This is my absolute favorite tea on the entire store. Alone it is sweet and nutty. I'll drink it iced or hot at any time of day. I've always loved almonds in just about anything but this tea was beyond my expectations.
I had high hopes for this tea-- it was on my wishlist and everything. I was so excited to tear into it when it came in, and I was shocked to smell... cherry? A lot of cherry, really. Where was the almond? I know cherry almond = amaretto and people like that, but this isn't amaretto, it's just 'almond'... I figured, hey, maybe it's just the scent. Surely it'll steep more almond-y... nope. VERY cherry tasting. Couldn't even finish my cup. Sadly disappointed. :C
It didn't have a very strong almond flavor to me even after steeping for extra time. Very acidic..
I've been sitting here trying to think of how to describe this tea for awhile, but it's really indescribable. It's not really bad, it just doesn't taste like almond. The low star is more for the disappointment than anything.

For flavored teas I prefer Adagio over several other brands. The base tea is solid and it has a definite almond flavor that is not too strong.
This tea is wonderful either by itself or as part of a blend! I particularly enjoy it mixed with Summer Rose, Caramel, Vanilla, or Cream teas.
I feel like with the right teas, you could make a sugar cookie tea. Drinking this reminded me of late night baking for classmates and how I would ad almond extract to almost everything I made. This tea is very enjoyable and slightly sweet, though not too much so. I can't wait to try it combined with other flavours!

This doesn't taste like almond at all. It has a strong mascarpone smell, and an even stronger mascarpone flavor, sort of like drinking cannoli-flavored black tea. And I'm not a fan of cannolies and mascarpone cheese. Not something I would ever try again.
Very sweet, strong, and simple. I knew I loved it due to the amount of blends I'd bought containing it, but by itself it's a very comforting taste.
Very earthy- this tea is grounding. I drink this with a little milk and sugar, and it makes me think of a pond in a thick forest.

I eat almonds all the time, but somehow this (and other extracts) have a wonderful cherry vanilla aroma. Very nice. Although, I've noticed the smell is much stronger than the taste, but that seems to be the case for all the flavor teas.
Quite tasty but only as a hot tea. The almond flavor doesn't blend well with the black tea when cold.
I really liked this. It has a nice taste by itself and was great mixed with other teas like chocolate and coconut

This is my biggest disappointment with Adagio Teas. Upon opening the sample of loose leaf tea, I was overwhelmed by the chemical smell. Maybe it smells like some kind of artificial almond, but smell leads to taste. And this didn't work for me.

A simple black with a strong almond presence - if your into strong almond, this will suit you well. The tea is far from complex and simply what the title of the tea states.
