I thought this one was really good! It smells like a vanilla candle in the packet, but a good one, not like the ones that smell like burnt cookies. Hot, it smelled like yummy black tea with a hint of cream. It doesn't FEEL creamy, but has a lovely vanilla/cream flavor. I'm not sure how this would compare to a vanilla tea, but it's really a nice comforting tea woth little to no astringency. Would be GREAT for blending, but is really nice all on its own!

Whereas Adagio's caffeinated cream tea surprised me by exceeding my expectations, this one failed to live up to them. At this point, I should probably note that the creme flavoring is iffy for me. In small doses in some blends, it works, lending subtle smoothness to a brew. In others, it's overdone and either out of place or off-putting or both. In Adagio's caffeinated cream tea, the creme flavoring brings a soft, smoothness to the brew. It makes a nice counterpoint to the notoriously bitter/astringent Ceylon. Adagio's decaffeinated teas, on the other hand, are well known for their exceptional smoothness as something about the decaffeinating process softens the Ceylon. Consequently, the softening effect that the creme flavoring brings to the caffeinated version is superfluous here and simply overpowers the base, resulting in that taste that I find off-putting. Interestingly, a second steep, left to brew a good while longer, is better because the flavoring is weaker and/or the tea had more time to develop. Regardless, decaf cream will not be my nightcap - or even late afternoon - cup of choice. (3 minutes @ 212F)

Update - 6/30/23 - listen y’all, I’ve had this tea several times since first purchasing and the full story is this: I didn’t know what I really had. This tea has grown on me SO QUICKLY. It’s perfect. Got a late night craving for something sweet but don’t want to ruin your diet or sleep schedule? Make this tea. Have another tea that just seems to be lacking something and needs another dimension? Mix some of this in. Looking for a pot of tea to impress friends or family by shaking things up a bit? This is your best bet to make something all will find palatable AND intriguing.
I will ALWAYS have this tea on hand.
Original review: A nice decaf alternative to an already great tea. Definitely nothing to rave about, but a solidly balanced tea to keep in the rotation

What's not to love about today's communiTea? It's creamy, sweet and DECAF...so I can enjoy it after dinner. It's a win win!

All the flavor of regular cream with trace caffeine of decaf. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea June 2023 box.

This tea is surprisingly tasty. Ok, that taste is only cream, but still, I didn't have to add any creamer to my cup of cream...it was tasty all on it's own, well, with a some sweetener. While good, I likely won't purchase to drink by itself, but would definitely purchase to blend with.

I love cream flavored tea so was happy to discover that Adagio offers this in a decaf version I can drink at night. Yum!

I don’t love this tea on its own but I mixed it with honeybush hazelnut and it’s very nice. If you steep it for too long it tastes kind of soapy though.

I use this in my decaf blend trying to approximate decaf Earl Grey Moonlight. I use 1/3 Decaf Cream, 1/3 Decaf Vanilla, and 1/3 Decaf Early Grey. It adds the rich notes to the blend.

Love this tea! It has this creme soda feel to it but it's in tea form.

Great! I love the original cream but need to cut back on caffeine. I didn't do a side by side comparison, but it tastes virtually the same as the og cream.
★★★★★
Sweet and smooth, this decaf tea doesn't taste exactly like the full caffeine Cream, but I very good in its own way. Adagio's decaf teas are very smooth, and not bitter.

This tea is pretty good but I think it would be better mixed with another flavor such as strawberry or maybe chocolate

Absolutely loved this tea!!! I wasn't sure with it just being named Cream, but after reading reviews, I decided to try it and I am so glad I did! It is somehow creamy and tastes like cream. It is now added to the line of favorites :) I added a splash of milk or cream.

As part of my ongoing quest to drink more teas while still limiting caffeine, I picked up some black and decaf black samples to design myself a moderate-caff custom blend. This was the first I opened, and I'm so glad I grabbed it! The open bag smells like cake frosting, and I couldn't help but stand there sniffing it while the water boiled. The actual tea itself, once made, is fortunately not *that* sweet - just flavored enough, with a whiff of cake, to fool my brain into thinking I put sweetener in it. Absolutely delicious. I may get this by itself as well, since it's one of the decafs.

Such a great after dinner/desert tea. Very soothing and creamy, sweet with nothing added. This is a winner, highly recommend.

The packet opened to reveal tightly curled decaf Ceylon tea leaves with a wonderful sweet cream scent. A full steep at 212°F for 5 minutes produced a nice chestnut-colored decaf tea.
The sip was smooth yet still bold enough to satisfy the senses. The decaffeination process took some of the bitterness and edge off of the usually stout black tea, so I decided to steep for the full 5 minutes to get some extra strength flavors out of the leaves. The cream flavor added its own smoothness on top.
Adding some extra whipped cream on top made this a decadent sweet cream tea! Delish!
Quite an excellent decaf tea flavor, which would go well with any kind of ballked goods or dessert, without keeping you up at night!

Yum! This tea is smooth, creamy deliciousness. The white cornflowers add a cute visual cue and decaf means I can even enjoy this one as an evening cuppa.

Not a huge fan of decaf in general, if I want a non caffeinated tea I'll just drink herbal tea. But its not that bad of a tea flavor wise! Wouldn't order it again though.

A bit flat tasting, and suffers from some of the same problems as normal cream tea. On its own it's alright, nothing special, but it's a fantastic blending tea.

This is a very pleasing cup! The creamy flavor isn't too sweet, and the black tea's character hasn't been lost as often happens to decaffeinated drinks. Looking forward to having this again!

This is a really delicious decaffeinated tea. When I run out of Decaf Vanilla, which will take a while, I might just switch to this! I steeped at 200 degrees for 3 minutes.

This tea ended up being a wonderful surprise as I didn't expect much from it beyond maybe being in the neighbourhood of general 'vanilla + sweet'. Despite how simple it is, there's a lot more going on than that. It's a soft vanilla, but don't mistake 'soft' to mean lacking - it's got a surprising amount of flavour and easy, perfectly rounded sweetness. It's creamy and smooth. Reminded me of a vanilla cake - looks plain, but there's a rich warmth, vibrancy, and comfort to it. Wonderful and a must try.

When opening my CommuniTEA packet, I relished the creamy, sweet scent. However, I think this blend works better as a potpourri than as a tea but then again I'm not accustomed to overly sweet teas.

Of all the tea samplers I’ve tried over the years, this is definitely in the top three. Heavenly. Loved the decadent creamy flavor that is NOT artificial tasting! Went amazing with a touch of creamer. Great dessert finisher for the evening. Will try the full sized version in my next order.

I don't usually drink this on its own; I love blending it with other teas, especially earl grey. By itself, it's a bit on the mild side, but I can appreciate a decaf on a rainy day. The cream flavor does taste like one of those coffee creamers, but still a good cup of comfort.

I love opening this bag. The smell punches you in the face in the best way possible. It smells like a hug! The taste lives up to the anticipation and is smooth and creamy, without the astringency that can be present in the full caf counterpart. Like all of adagio's decaf flavor options, I prefer this one to its traditional full caf counterpart. Not only does it have the benefit of tasting better, but I can drink it any time of day or night! Win Win!

Today's CommuniTea packet is decaf cream with decaf ceylon tea, creme flavor and white cornflowers. Like it's full-caf brother, I prefer cream tea in blends, where it really shines, giving a smoothness to almost anything it augments. I mixed it with decaf blueberry, and it made a lovely blueberries and cream pot of tea. Really nice! Blended with 2 teaspoons of decaf blueberry in about 28 ounces of 190-degree water for about two and a half minutes.

Today's CommuniTEA is Decaf Cream (4-14-23). Upon opening my packet, I had a fantastic amount of all ingredients. I made it hot with some milk thistle and manuka honey. In my opinion, the Decaf Cream tastes so much better than the regular Cream! There's no overwhelming flavor of tannins, it doesn't oversteep easily, and has a much more natural creamy flavor, rather than artificial. I really loved this tea and would highly recommend it!
