Yummy, almost more peachy than apricot. A few bitter notes when it cools if over brewed.
The flavor of ripe apricots and bright decaf black tea. Soft mouthfeel, succulent flavor, balanced astringency.

Yummy, almost more peachy than apricot. A few bitter notes when it cools if over brewed.
If you like apricots, this tea is a treat for your sense of smell as well as taste. I found myself holding a warm mug of tea between my hands and just breathing between sips to savor the experience. This tea has a gentle smell and taste of fresh apricots. Loved it hot and bet it is just as fabulous iced.
A lovely tea! Full flavored with a delicious and satisfying taste of apricot. This is one of my favorite Adagio decafs besides raspberry. If you’re an apricot lover then this one is sure to please and makes a wonderful iced tea too. Truly, I’m not sure whether I like this one better, hot or cold. Both ways are excellent! I prefer a sweetener add which boosts the stone fruit flavor nicely and elevates the tea’s deliciousness.
My CT packet had 3 g/ 2 tsp of dark tea leaves, yellow marigold flowers and one little yellow piece of apricot or apple. Brewed at 195*F (the brewing temp. I use for decaf or regular Ceylon) for 3 min. No bitterness was detected or any noticeable astringency either. The golden brown liquor was smooth tasting unsweetened but a sweetener add brought out a delightful and more distinct apricot flavor. A smaller resteep of 6 oz. was tasty too and, chilled, this tea is terrific with wonderful fruit flavor and no tannic taste. This decaf gets an easy and well deserved 5 stars. I love it!
This is a pleasant fruity blend, light and juicy. I think it could benefit from a bit of spice added. The apricot flavor is very nice. Another decaf blend to enjoy as an evening sip!
Love this one it great tea specially when you want tea late at night. Light apricot flavoring, it a nice blend.
Not quite as good as the standard apricot, but not bad at all. Just a little 'flat' tasting.
An easy sipper! Love the fact that its decaf. A nice simple black tea.
Update 3/13/22 Still loving this decaf version of apricot. It has become a staple in my house.
I tried the caffeinated version of this in the Orchard Black Tea Sampler and fell in love with the flavor. Since I can not drink caffeine at night, I ordered a sample of the decaf version. Same great taste and will order more .
CommuniTEA portion: Enjoyed the aroma on first opening of the packet. Nice smooth decaf tea with a lovely apricot note. Really appreciate how Adagio's decafs aren't astringent.
This decaf tea is very smooth, like all of Adagio's decaf blacks. To me, the apricot scent is stronger than the flavor, but it is still delicious!
This tea has a wonderful fresh apricot smell and a refreshing taste. I like it cold brewed overnight.
Opening the packet transports me to an apricot orchard. So fragrant! This delicious, flavorful tea tastes no different than the caffeinated version. Great sipped hot or iced, sweetened or not. Definitely one of my favorites.
I only had 1 apple piece and no actual apricot in my CommuniTEA packet so I think that is why the flavor was not there until I added a little bit of honey. I steeped at 195 F x 3 min.
Strong bold flavor, no denying this is in fact a delicious apricot tea. As it brewed, the rest of my household knew exactly what i was drinking. For a fruit tea, this one definitely packs a good punch with flavor.
Apricot is one of my favorites and to have a decaf option with the same flavor, score. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTEA March 2022 box
I love apricot tea and it's so nice to have a decaf to enjoy late on the day!
I am shouting from the rooftops that I LOVE Adagio's decaf black teas so much! I'm not sensitive to caffeine, but let me tell you, they have nailed it with their decaf blacks. Apricot has a delicate apricot flavor that is very slightly perfume like in a good way. This has that baked goods flavor that I love in a tea. I am thinking it would blend well with other Adagio teas. Yum! Sip, sip away!
The bright apricot flavor really comes through. Great both hot and over ice. I'm glad this blend comes in caffeinated and decaf!
The bright scent of apricots practically springs from the CT packet this morning, ready to get the day started. Pale yellow marigold petals are scattered throughout, giving the appearance of spring in a black tea bed. Unfortunately, I did not see any apple pieces.
Based on another sipper's suggestion, I opted to cold brew this tea - and I'm so glad I did. The liquor steeps a lovely pale gold, and the flavor is light, ripe with the taste of the juicy apricots on each sip. There's a wonderful floral note at the tail of each sip, soft and sweet and paired perfectly with the foward fruityness. I added a touch of tupelo to sweeten, and I really do wish I could give this tea more than five stars - one of the best iced teas I've had to date!
(cold brewed, w/tupelo honey)
Simple black tea with awesome apricot flavor! Love it especially the fact that it is decaf and I can sip it all day long.
Bright and fresh apricot greets your nose with this blend both dry and after steeped. I tried the caffeinated version with a sample of February's CommuniTEA offerings and wasn't really a fan, but the decaffeinated Ceylon provides a much smoother base to the apricot flavor and I really enjoyed it both plain and sweetened to rock sugar. This would be excellent cold brewed in the summer.
Amazing flavor! Wonderful hot or iced. Apricot provides nice aroma
212 degrees for 4 minutes. Soft floral apricot flavors on a smooth ceylon base. The decaf version lacks the brightness of regular, but its still nice.
Absolutely delicious peachy flavor, perfect for a wind down night time sip!!!
After strongly disliking the Decaf Peach blend (it came across as obviously artificial), I wasn't expecting much from my Decaf Apricot sample. I was pleasantly surprised. This tasted much better to me. The apricot flavour paired nicely with the decaf Ceylon. Yum!
After participating in the CommuniTEA roughly every other month for a year now, I have learned that I am not a fan of Adagio's apricot flavoring. This decaf version holds the same pattern. The aroma from the dry leaves reminds me strongly of cough syrup. Fortunately, once brewed, the richer, chocolatey notes from the black tea temper the flavor, so the memory of medicine is only called to mind by the smell of the liquor. Unlike its caffeinated counterpart, this tea has a smooth mouthfeel and lacks bitterness. Though my gut instinct is to sweeten this tea, I refrain from doing so, knowing it will only enhance the medicinal taste of the apricot flavoring. If Adagio's apricot teas do not remind you of cough syrup, this version would make a great choice. As for me, I'll pass. (4 minutes @ 212F)
Compared side by side with the full caffeine version of this tea I couldn't tell any difference in flavor. Rich black tea flavor, mild bitterness, mild fruit finish. Good candidate for cold brew ice tea.
CommuniTEA 3/13/22: it was decaf, but it wasn't empty tasting! I love apricots and was excited to see two large chunks of dried apricot in my packet. Tea was perfect with lunch.
Let me start by saying I am not a fan of decaf teas but have to admit this Apricot Decaf is a very pleasant tea and one that I would actually buy. I truly think the pleasantness comes from the Ceylon teas in the mix. I drink my teas Grandpa style and have found that the Ceylon blacks are not usually astringent. This tea is a winner for me but I still had to consider that it is a decaf, hence only four stars. Steeped Grandpa style at 195 degrees. I will continue to add water to these leaves throughout the day.
Juicy, sweet apricot aroma and flavor fill the cup. The black tea is flavorful and not bitter.
This is a sunny, happy tea. Bright apricot flavors are strong up front, followed by pleasant astringency. Wonderful tea for spring mornings!
Yum! Tastes like an apricot without tasting fake. Tea is balanced. Excellent!
I used to hate anything apricot, however, Adagio has changed my mind. This was a nice mild black fruit blend that is good hot or cold.
This is a sweet, juicy treat with a whisper of apricot flavor. I could have had it ramped up even MORE! One thing I love about this tea is that the Ceylon base is not bitter at all! Usually it is a struggle with these flavored blacks to not have the bitterness overwhelm, but the Ceylon here is the perfect compliment. And decaf! Yeah! Thank you Adagio for making so many decaf options. Caffeine sensitive people like me salute you! Enjoy the indulgence of stonefruit lusciousness and Happy Sipping!
Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Strong fragrance of apricot with herbaceous eucalyptus notes. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F, I notice a darker slightly murky tea liquid with a floral apricot nose from my cup. When I take a sip,I notice floral apricot notes, followed by slightly astringent tea tannins, with a finish of apricot stone fruit kernel. Good cup!
This CommuniTEA packet of Decaf Apricot was a perfect way to begin this chilly morning. The aroma of the apricot was very welcoming upon opening and the apricot taste was divine with no bitterness. Adding a little honey brought out the flavor even more. This will become a favorite and and has already been added to my cart to include among my next purchases.
An abundance of peach aroma diffusing into the kitchen from my teacup. Delicious smooth peach flavored black tea.
This tea wasnt to bad. I'm not a huge fan of apricots though and I much prefer peaches.
Great flavor that takes me back to my grandparent's farm and the large apricot trees they had, I will have to order this one in a bigger bag!
From the communiTEA packet, this smells and tastes like apricots. This is great cold brewed.
Love the regular and decaf version, both are extremely tasty. I really enjoy adagio's decaf teas, way less bitter then most brands.
Apricot is one of my favorite flavors. The tea smells and tastes like apricot. A nice tea to drink.
Yummy decaf tea option with a nice apricot flavor.
Tastes just as wonderful as the caffeinated version. Love that I have some awesome caffeine free options for those times when I really want a cup of tea, but don't want the caffeine. mmmm! Nice cup of tea!
This tastes too much like peach and peach tea is one of my least favorites.
Love this tea!!! Seems more mellow and sweet than peach, which I also frequently enjoy. Amazing plain or with creamer and a sprinkle of cinnamon!

It smells fantastic. And it’s no slouch in the taste department either. It works well hot or cold. Win win.
I cold brew my decaf apricot black tea overnight using adagio water filter-and pitcher. (even ice cubes) Absolutely delicious mild fruit (apricot) with a Ceylon base black tea. Perfect iced tea for those who do not wan caffeine, and want a nice rich soft black tea taste.
Decaf Apricot is a very nice light juicy apricot flavor, with a bold Ceylon black tea. This tea also makes a wonderful, iced tea.
Really great flavor. I like that it is decaf. I will enjoy drinking this in the evenings.
