I loved this one! The cardamom and fruit profiles were so good, and I love the spicy teas in general. I'll drink this all the time.
Creamy coconut and playfully floral lemongrass highlight this succulent chai blend. Let the aroma draw you in...

I loved this one! The cardamom and fruit profiles were so good, and I love the spicy teas in general. I'll drink this all the time.
This one screams coconut louder than any other ingredient. If coconut is not for you, neither is this tea. On the other hand, if coconut is your thing, go for it.
I love this chai! Extra spicy but light enough to not be cloying
I am a lover of chai tea blends! For me, Thai Chai is a unique blend. The coconuts tropical touch and the lemongrass’ brightness both bring surprise flavors that I have not tasted in a chai cuppa before. Ginger & cardamom shine in after taste! I brewed mine 212 for 10 min. Added sweetener and milk. Yummy!
This is a glorious mild chai blend with the coconut, lemongrass, and cardamom taking center stage. I steeped it with about 7 ounces of water for 6 minutes at 200 degrees. I put rock sugar into the steep and poured the tea into my warmed cup where a little bit of whole milk coated the bottom. Delicious and highly recommended!
2nd Review: if you enjoy sipping along with the Communitea today and like to cook, let me suggest heading over to TeaChef. There are some really good recipes using Thai Chai.
1st Review: It goes very well with Thai food or iced with milk on hot summer days. If adding milk or milk substitute, it’s better to steep a little longer or use more tea than the recommended 2 t. so the flavors come through.
4/22 cold brewed the tea. It is even better this way. The coconut came through in a big way! This is going to become one of my favorites for iced tea this summer.
Last year:I loved this Thai Chai tea from the moment I opened up the packet. Tropical aromas were abundant. Steeped at 212° for 7 mins. I savored every drop of it. Such a light refreshing chai, the lemon grass and coconut came through and the black tea stayed in the background. The flavor was like a chocolate orange with a delicious coconut topping. Very smooth with no astringency.
UPDATED from 4/20/21 The aroma is of cinnamon, ginger, coconut, and lemon as the CommuniTea packet opens. It steeps (at a lower temp to avoid bitterness) into a cloudy orange/gold. The strong warming chai spices really stand out, with my nose and with my tongue, as ginger lingers longer into the finish. Adding ¼ teaspoon sweetener (to 10oz) brightens up all the flavors and really makes the coconut and lemon come forward more. The coconut lingers now with the ginger in the finish, as well. This is well blended, as no one spice stands out, however, they each add to the total fun flavor of a tropical chai. Adding heavy whipping cream mellows the chai spices too much for my taste, so I do not recommend it. This is even delicious on the second steep. ( 5 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).
While a fan of Chai, I am not usually a fan of coconut. To say I was hesitant when catching the first aroma of coconut when opening the package would be an understatement. I decided to be brave though, and I’m glad I did. The coconut was very muted and gave this tea a wonderfully smooth and creamy taste. The flavors played off of each other marvelously.
I love the smell of this tea and it tastes as good as it smells! I love the coconut and it is definitely present. With the cinnamon and the cardamom I think it is a great autumn tea but is is so good, I will drink it year round.
Delicious! Strong flavors of coconut and cardamom make this a lovely, comforting drink on a cold morning. @adagioteas
All ingredients were accounted for in my communiTEA packet today. What sets this blend apart from a Thai Tea is that Thai Chai has less black tea than its counterpart. In Thai Chai, the black tea is another taste, not a base tea nor main player. That said, moderate coconut and mild lemongrass aromas were noted.
I wanted to make an authentic, strongly brewed, Thai chai drink. I had 3.2 grams of ingredients, normally enough for a 13 ounce mug. To make a stronger drink, I used only eight ounces of 200°F steep water. I steeped for six minutes to intensify flavors even more.
When hot, all flavors were mild. I added ¾ teaspoon of sugar to sweeten and bring out flavors. I then added one tablespoon of half & half to smooth tastes and complete authenticity.
When warm, moderate coconut, cinnamon, lemongrass, ginger, and cardamom menthol flavors were noted. Mild cinnamon and ginger zings were present on my tongue. Black tea tastes were not too bold in this blend, but did provide some mild dark chocolate flavors.
Throughout drinking this blend of Thai Chai, I was treated to a very pleasantly smooth, sweet and creamy sip that coated my palate with glee. A very nice drink indeed! This one would pair very well and break the spicy bite of one of my Thai-spicy recipes. Kudos to the Adagio Blendmeister! (6 mins @ 200ºF, ¾ tsp sugar, 1 Tbls half & half)
Everyone I serve this to loves the smell and taste. It is very pleasant with the coconut.
I wasn't sure how much I'd like the lemongrass in this one, but it was surprisingly nice! I prefer the Thai Tea, but this was a lovely treat.
My favorite 'unique' take on a chai tea, I've gotten the sample a few times and I always kick myself for not buying more. If you love coconut and lemongrass, this will be for you. I drink it hot with milk and honey but it would make a great iced tea as well.
My favorite tea! Delicious flavor. I love the coconut and the lemongrass
I'm not fond of coconut, but it's not overbearing in this tea, and adds a bit of creaminess. A nice not-too-spicy chai.
Great blend!! Has to be one of my favorite chai blends ever! I will ALWAYS repurchase this one!! @adagioteas
Delicious! A good balance of Thai tea with chai spices.
Such a great twist on a chai! I love the medley of flavors in this tea. I make it iced and it is amazing.
An old favorite of mine from the chai collection. Flavorful, aromatic, and lightly floral, the complex body makes for a delightful, smooth drink. Who knew that coconut, lemongrass, and chai, would work so well together?
So, chai is very personal. I didn't realize how much the tiny bits of coconut would impact the taste. Another person might love it, but I ended up manually removing most of the coconut...
It tastes and smells really great! I would definitely buy this again.
Very well balanced and delicious! Many of their chais are too clove heavy, but not this one! @adagioteas
If you are not a coconut fan, this is not the tea for you. The rich taste of black tea and smoky spice comes with a sweet side of coconut. And odd combo, but a delicious one. This would be 5* but I find the coconut strips to be quite large and is hard to get a good blend without using a spoon.
Absolutely delicious! I will deffinately be buying this chai tea again!
This is an amazing recreation of Thai tea. Add honey or sweetened milk, and its amazing. I purchased a 3oz package, and we drank most of it in 2 weeks and came back for the 16 oz.
A very nicely spiced blend, the coconut and lemongrass really get to shine. Perfect with a bit of milk
Whoever thought of this is a god. Brew it strong with some sweetened condensed milk- absolutely mind blowing.
The coconut flavor in this Chai is just perfect. So glad I tried this! @adagioteas
I enjoy this tea with local raw honey and soy milk. The smell is divine.
My wife’s go to morning tea. A good mix of flavors. She adds a bit of sugar and a touch of almond milk. It is a ever present fixture in our house.
Great flavor. Perfect on a cold day. Great spices, great aroma @adagioteas
The coconut plus the lemongrass make this chai stand out from the rest
It has a great coconut taste. The tea itself if full of chucks of herbs.
It took me a big cup of this tea for it to grow on me. At first it tasted strange to me, but I have really come to enjoy this tea!
This was exactly as advertised. One of my absolute faves; tastes like a meal in a mug! Black tea w cinnamon bark & ginger root make a sturdy base, coconut & lemongrass round it out, cardamon spices it up. A satisfying sip. A whole mouth feel experience.
I loved this tea so much. To all the caramel lovers, I add caramel flavored creamer and it tasted amazing.
This has a nice flavor that is balanced. I often find chaos to be either underwhelming or overpowering and extra spicy. This strikes a nice balance.
Great tea, nice smell, very enjoyable for an afternoon tea.
Awesome Chai tea that I drink every morning!! Great day starter!!
Delicious tea!!! This tea has all the yummy flavors of a chai tea but is not as spicy or overwhelming with the spiciness.
I love the richness of this tea! The lemongrass is uplifting while the coconut provides a bit of sweetness. It’s wonderful with a bit of cream. @adagioteas
I didn't expect to love this so much! It's a more delicate blend than I was expecting, I tend to brew my chai on the stove rather than in a teapot to get a more hearty, full-flavored experience. The lemongrass takes center stage, but the coconut is pulling its weight. The aroma might be just as good as the tea itself. I can't imagine finishing this out with anything other than honey and milk for a creamy, warm authentic chai, but this one might actually be good just plain. If you're looking for something spicy & comforting on a winter night with subtle ginger and cinnamon notes, this stuff is going to hit the spot.
I have been looking for a really good Thai tea. The Chai Thai is wonderful. Added a few nuggets of rock sugar and some Vanilla almond milk. Yum! Liquid dessert.
Absolutely love it!! I’m always distressed when it’s out of stock and buys lots when it’s available!
Coconut and black tea is a criminally underrated combo. In this blend, chai spices and lemongrass join the mix for a delicious and creative chai. This blend is somewhat savory, and greatly benefits from some added sweetener.
This tea is one of my favorite chais. If you like chai this is a must try. @adagioteas
Wish there was more Thai to this chai. Other than that solid chai.
Heaven in 3 minutes
Best tea I’ve ever had, just a little honey and almond milk… delicious
