This was unexpectedly good. I mean, I like both chai teas and coconut anything but they didn't really make sense to go together. But somehow this tea really works! A bit of soy milk and honey makes it great!

★★★★★

This is the first tea on my last sample order that I've said 'I need a real bag of this' (to be fair, it's only the 3rd tea I've tried from the order.) I put in a little more than called for (maybe a whole tablespoon, when the label suggested 2 heaping teaspoons), and steeped it a bit longer (5.5 minutes instead of 5) because I like my tea strong, and it didn't get bitter. Put in a bit of sweetened creamer and it was delicious. The coconut wasn't obvious, but the chai spices were noticeably smoothed out. The lemongrass was more of a finishing taste--I noticed it as I swallowed each sip, and it brightened the tea nicely. Might have to try it with sweetened condensed milk, as another reviewer suggested.

This tea smells and tastes great, but it's not nearly as strong as I normally like my chai, so I tend to leave the tea ball in the whole time I'm drinking.

★★★★☆

This tea was a always nice start to the morning. Sweet, but not too sweet. Very tasty when mixed with a green tea.

★★★★★

This is awesome. I love the coconut and lemongrass, and the spices are great without having the harshness you get in some varieties of chai.

I decided to go for this chai 1. Becuase I have been wanting chai 2. Because I still had a bit of latte base (that I made 4 days ago…) that I wanted to use up and figured this would work great with it!

Brand new tea opening is always so fun! I opened it and breathed in the first whiff of this tea. First thought: “Yum! Spicy Chai!” Second thought: “Wait… Where is the coconut creaminess? Where are my coconut pieces?” Turns out the coconut pieces where much smaller that what they look like in the picture (think grated cheese). Once I scooped out my 2 teaspoons I did get a hint of coconut creaminess, but not as strong as I was wanting it to be.

I brewed it for 5 minutes (as recommended) and ended up with a creamy smelling chai! This is much more like the smell that I was expecting. I smelled a lot of clove and cinnamon with notes of cardamom and pepper. The lemon grass poked through nicely when brewed. It popped up to say “I’m here, I’m here!” and lead way for the final note which was a creamy coconut.

I tasted it first plain. It was pretty sweet on its own and had a nice creamy something towards the end. Not quite coconut, but it reminded me more of butter cookies with a hint of coconut. The lemon grass was a main player along with the other chai spices, and definitely a good inclusion. Once I added my latte mix (basically just 1 part condensed milk stirred over heat with 2 parts milk) the coconut leaped out, but I lost a bit of the lemongrass which I really was enjoying. I think I almost like this plain more than with milk!

I happily finished up my Thai Chai latte and smiled knowing that I have a full 3oz of tea to drink before it is gone! : )

A good twist to a chai. Not strong enough to be my favorite but good enough to make me smile.

This is one of my favorite teas from Adagio. It is even better than masala chai. I love the coconut flavor in the tea - delicious!

★★★★★

I was expecting this tea to taste similar to thai teas they serve at restaurants but it doesn't. However, this tea is still very good and I prefer this over vanilla chai.

★★★★★

I love this tea! Just from opening the bag, it smelled like suntan lotion and the beach. The coconut and lemongrass add a clean note to the tea. I can almost feel the sand in between my toes. Not the strongest spice in the chai, but it's a great afternoon drink. I would love to make sun-tea with this on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

I just made iced tea with milk and sugar with this tea, and it made me so happy that I had to come here and review it. Seriously. Brewed hot, strong, and long, and well-sweetened because I have a pretty strong sweet tooth (it could've probably done with half the sugar I put in it haha), this is such a good way to start the morning. I brew a concentrated cup and add sugar and milk, pour over ice, and make up any leftover space with cold water. Such good iced tea! Need to buy more soon.

This chai's quite good! The coconut and other spices are just barely present in the taste, but they add a lot to it. I'd personally like a little more of the classic spicy chai taste, but otherwise this is an excellent tea. Give it a sample.

wonderful aroma and taste. Nice chai, with a very mild spice.

★★★☆☆

Didn't like this at first, but as i got used to the lemongrass flavor it grew on me. Probably won't drink it very often though.

★★★★★

Oh my goodness, this tea is amazing! The lemongrass gives it a nice perky flavor and the coconut smooths is out. One of my favorites. If you like thai food you're going to love this. Goes great with mango and sticky rice.

★★★★★

one of my favorite teas of all time :D coconut and lemon and all kinds of awesome

★★★☆☆

I feel like the coconut flavor was a bit too strong. I might need to try this tea again with condensed milk, but overall, it wasn't anything outstanding.

★★★★★

This was awesome with some coconut syrup and milk. Hot or iced. Very unique but the thai flavors shone through! Nicely done!

Not usually a fan of chai, they're usually a bit too spicy for my taste. This one is a bit more mellow and tasty :)

★★★★★

Possibly my favorite tea! The coconut is a dominant flavor, but the lemongrass is amazing.

★★★☆☆

This chai isn't bad, but it is not a favorite. I like that it isn't spicy, because I prefer the smoother flavor. It does have an enjoyable, tropicalness that I enjoy (think I made up a word there).

★★★★☆

Tasty chai although it's not as spicy as I like. The coconut flavor, which I was excited about tasting, was much more subtle than I anticipated.

★★☆☆☆

I tried a sample of this based on my love for both coconut and chai, but this one just doesn't do it for me. The main problem is the coconut flavor seems 'off'. I know Adagio can get coconut right because I love their Coconut Black tea, but it doesn't work here. Adjusting brewing times didn't seem to make a difference. Neither the brewed aroma or taste made me want to give this one more than a couple tries, but maybe you'll have better luck...

I really enjoy Chai teas, but sometimes they can be too strong. Thai Chai is one of my favorite Adagio flavors because it has a very pleasant aroma, and the taste is just as good. I also like that most of the ingredients are whole spices. Only the coconut is an added 'natural flavor.'

Loved this tea much more than I thought I would. The lemongrass and coconut is really good!

★★★★★

This chai is absolutely amazing. I usually turn this tea into a latte, which I absolutely love as a dessert alternative. It is sweet, the lemongrass is not overpowering, the coconut is perfectly pronounced, and the spices are just right. I definitely need to try brewing up a latte using coconut milk.

This is an extremely flavorful tea, that is perfect when you add a dash of heavy cream.

I adore this tea! It's a delightful spin on chai, the coconut and lemongrass are heavenly. I usually have it black, but I'll add milk and sugar if I want a treat!

★★★★☆

I find this to be a good chai for people who do not like spicy tea. I do not get much of a coconut hint unless I add milk.

★★★☆☆

I was looking for a 'different' chai as I had tried a variety of chai teas with this company. I found that I was not a big fan of the lemon grass flavor, only because I'm only used to having that in (savory) food not in anything else. So, if you love lemon grass flavor and can imagine liking that flavor, this tea is for you. If not, I'd go with the masala chai.

★★★★★

I gave my friends who suggested this tea a hard time and said with out trying it that it couldn't be all that great compared to the chai that I make, blending my own ingredients. After my first sip I apologized to all of them. The only other thing I will say is to suggest ordering a full pound. I got 3 oz of the tea and finished it ALL on the first day. I love it. Milk and Sugar.

An enjoyable chai experiment! Spicy, coco-nutty, and sweet, this blend is like high tea on a tropical island. Appropriately/traditionally, milk and sweetener really amp up the flavor here.

★★★★★

Impeccably balanced chai tea. Not too sweet, not too spicy.

★★★★★

I figured I would try this instead of my usual Masala Chai. It's a bit different, but definitely just as enjoyable!

★★★★★

Delicious! Almost smells like a sweet curry in a cup. I very much enjoy this, one of the few I like without milk, and was amazed that the coconut came out so nicely.

★★★★★

This one is super. Will reorder a bigger bag for sure. It is high on my list of favorite teas from Adagio.

★★★★★

always delicious. the coconut and the lemongrass together are perfect. i usually get about 3 steeps out of it.

I wanted to love this-- I love chai and Thai iced tea-- but it just doesn't work for me. The lemongrass overwhelmed the other flavors and just made it taste sour. I will try again with honey, which I don't usually use, but I think I'll stick with the Masala Chai.

Almost as good as the masala chai. I really enjoy the coconut undertones.

★☆☆☆☆

Maybe it's because I went to Singapore and had amazing home brewed chai almost everyday, but I have yet to find one that has that perfect balance of spice. This one is just another addition to my list of 'I'll never have a taste like that again'

★★★★★

This chai was really delicious! I was skeptical about trying it, but am so glad I did! The lemon grass really brightens the earthiness of the chai spices.

★★★★☆

Thai Chai is actually a great tea, don't be fooled by its amazingly strong coconut scent at the first whiff. Once it's brewed, the tea itself smells actually a bit milder and it tastes much like what you'd expect: like coconut and chai spices. It goes great with milk and sugar as well.Personally however, I do prefer regular chai to this as Thai Chai seems to give off the vibe that it needs something extra to sweeten it to complete the experience.

★★☆☆☆

Maybe it's just me, but this tea did not do it. I think that the lemongrass was what threw me off? Anyway, not my cup of tea. (har dee har).

★★★★☆

Good basic chai tea with great coconut flavor. We have it as a staple in our tea collection!

★★★★★

Without a doubt, this is one of the best teas I have ever had. It smells like all of my favorite thai dishes, with a really intense lemongrass and ginger smell, but with subtle spicy notes like a chai. Truly fantastic!

★★★☆☆

There's some bitterness coming from the ceylon. The subsequent re-steeps didn't have any bitterness which I also experienced with plain ceylon. The lemon grass taste is certainly there. There's a faint hint of the spices, but not as much as I hoping. I was going to get masala chai, but it was out of stock. Hopefully that one has more of a spice taste to it that I was looking for.

This Chai looked and tasted great. The flavors sat really well together (sometimes Chai has an overpowering peppery taste). I'm also not a huge fan of coconut flavors in tea (or coffee), but it really worked well in this chai. I imagine this would be delicious with milk and honey.

A great change of pace tea. I thought it was going to be too much at first, but it is amazing how all of the different flavors work together. And of course it goes well with thai food.

★★★★☆

I loved the addition of lemongrass and other Thai spices to this tea. Adding coconut milk is a must. This is the best if you are interested in Thai food.
