Has the traditional spice flavors with a sweet undertone of rooibos. Really delicious and doesn't become bitter even after a long brew time unlike chai with actual tea leaf in it. Works well with cream and sweetener and makes for a great nighttime drink due to the blend being decaf. I think I'll definitely be getting more of this once winter rolls around!

This chai is just not strong enough for me to be honest. It's still pretty good but I like the masala chai better.

★★★★★

Love, love, love this! One of my favorite chais so far! Very mellow, love the hints of vanilla - they're just barely there and not overpowering like some. I add lots of cream and sugar to mine!

★★★★★

This tea was very good, and I loved it with just a little creamer and a little sugar for a large mug. This was the first thing I ever ordered from Adagio, and I was very pleased. I just ordered 3 more different sample, I hope they are all as good a quality was this was.

Unlike the full smooth taste of the Chocolate Chai, the Rooibos Vanilla Chai is smooth, but on a lighter side because of the vanilla. This tea is good, especially with a little half and half.

I made this with an automatic drip machine. I think it would be best brewed in tea bags or in a steeper, so you can let it brew at time lengths of your choice.

★★★★★

I complicated flavors in my tea, but making a regular chai late at night keeps me up. The rooibos is caffeine free, and it's forgiving enough to survive being forgotten about for a few extra minutes of steeping if you're adding milk.

Smells just like fall. Like, I could stick this in a potpourri bowl, it smells so good. The spices overpower the vanilla and rooibos a bit, but with some milk or cream it all balances out and tastes great.

★★★★★

I love this! This tastes really great!
I just followed the instructions on the back and it turned out perfect!

★★★★☆

I have never been much of a roobios fan, or a fan of vanilla flavored teas, but I wanted something I could drink at night, so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did as the chai spices completely mask the funky taste I normally associate with roobios. Very spicy and flavorful and is extra delightful with a bit of Berry Blues tossed into the mix.

I'm not too fond of this one, but it probably boils down to personal preference. I only used 1 scoop, but it still came out pretty strong, so I can only imagine what 2 would have resulted in. I cant taste the vanilla, but there's an overpowering woodsy taste that is probably the rooibos (and this is where I assume it's just not my favorite type of tea). Like I said, personal preference.

I had forgotten how much of a kick the ginger has in these chais! A bit disappointed though I couldn't taste any vanilla.

★★★★★

VERY, VERY Spicy Tea with a smooth aftertaste...was not at all what I expected. Will be considering this when making new blends.

★★★★☆

Very roobois-y, with not as much spice as I was expecting. I think I like my chais with a bit more kick. The vanilla is nice though.

★★★★★

great flavor! steep for ten mins and a cup of this tea is spicy but is very delicious when you add cream and sugar. deff a new favorite

This herbal chai is in my and my girlfriends opinion even better than black tea chai!

★★★★★

This is definitely one of my favorite teas! It's delicious and perfect for my chai cravings without the caffeine. It's just fantastic. You can also brew it longer which I loveee.

My wife let me try this and I love the flavor. great for night time.

★★★★☆

This tea is very refreshing and since it is caffeine free I like to drink it in the evening. I like to add a little milk and honey to mine, but it stands on its own just fine and doesn't require much added things.

This is what I think of as a 'classic' chai--spicy, sweet, with a creamy vanilla note.

★★★★☆

This tea had very little vanilla flavor but tasted nice in general. The cloves add a good spice to it.

★★★★☆

This tea reminds me of the rooibos jasmine in the sense that I can't tell how much I really like it. It sort of tastes like a chai, but falls a bit short. For a non-caffeinated drink it works well, but I still prefer the masala chai over this. I think steeping it a bit longer vs what the package says may help.

★★★★★

Adagio did a great job with this blend. When brewed as recommended, two teaspoons per cup, 10 minutes, this tea strongly reminds me of a Starbucks chai tea latte. it has that same peppery quality which burns the back of your throat in a delightful way. It also doesn't overdo the cinnamon, like a lot of chai rooibos blends. But then, if brewed the recommended way, it's also twice as expensive per cup and lasts half as long, which probably isn't that long at all as without caffeine you can drink the stuff all day. For this reason, I'm planning on ordering the 16-oz bag next time, which nearly is half the cost per cup.

A woman at the store suggested I try this one. I wasn't sure I would like it but I was pleasantly surprised. It is a great tea for at night or during colder days.

★★★★★

This is a fabulous decaf chai blend and exactly what I was looking for. It's traditional, spicy and warming. my go to tea for a cozy afternoon or evening!

★★★★☆

This is by far one of the better chai teas I've had. I'm not hugely into chai, as cinnamon and cinnamon-flavored things irritate my mouth, but this one seems to do okay so far in that regard. Brewed with milk and sugar, this is a lovely warm cup that I love during the winter in particular.

★★★☆☆

It's tasty, but not too much like a tradutional chai, which threw me off.

★★★☆☆

My first rooibos tea and I found it very interesting. I couldn't really taste the vanilla but it was good over all

★★★☆☆

Not a horrible tea, but after the rooibos vanilla, I was expecting something with a bit stronger vanilla flavor - the chai spices are definitely stronger than the vanilla in this, but the rooibos flavor is strongest of all, so that I get more rooibos with a hint of spice and more vanilla scent than taste. I'll finish my sample, but probably won't buy it again.

★★★★★

Tastes amazing without the bitter overkill of too many spices that tends to frequent the dregs of a cup of chai. MUCH better than the chai latte at Starbucks -- and cheaper too!

★★★★★

This is a lovely Chai tea, and one of the first I've tried from Adagio. It's always so hard to find a good chai tea that isn't already pre mixed with milk and all kinds of stuff that I'm intolerant/allergic too. I love this tea <3

★★★★★

The addition of roobios and vanilla to this chai make it sweet and creamy and balanced. I typically like chai's either as a latte or only for half of the cup because they're just so spicy and strong - not the case with this! Highly recommend it.

★★★☆☆

im not usually a fan of red rooibos but this is pretty good

Last night I tested several of my spiced tea samples against one another (Christmas, Oriental Spice, Chocolate Chai, Spiced Apple Chai, Rooibos Cinnamon Apple, and Rooibos Vanilla Chai) to get a sense for what makes each one unique. Rooibos Vanilla was by far the smoothest and friendliest chai of the bunch - highly enjoyable! Rooibos and vanilla both have such a warmth to them. they're a natural pairing.

As for spice taste, I found the spiciness of RVC to be in between rich and spritely, a nice compromise. It's effervescent enough to tickle the tongue a bit but still grounded. I think my ideal way to take this tea would be in a blend with something black, to give it a bit more depth and body, but it's a lovely, happy chai on its own, as well.

★★★★★

Wonderful spice taste with sweet vanilla undertones. Enjoy hot as well as cold. Quickly becoming one of my favorite teas!

The smell is so amazing I had to hide the rest of the bag so that no one would steal the rest of this tea. It tasted as delicious as it smelled :)

★★★★★

This is my absolute favorite decaf chai. The vanilla rounds the chai flavor out nicely so it doesn't overpower the rooibos.

★★★★☆

Not as much spice in the flavor as with masala chai and so not quite as good however I am extremely happy to have it as a caffeine-free alternative at night. Plus, the different flavor adds some variety to the chai scene.

A wonderful tea. I really enjoy the chai flavors without the caffeine. This is a perfectly spiced cup of tea!

This tea experience has very warm flavors. Great in the morning.

★★★★☆

Makes for an excellent decaf chai for when you want the spicy warmth without staying up all night. While it's a solid, reliable tea, I really wish there were more interesting decaf variations besides this very basic one...

★★★★★

A very nice cup of tea. There is kind of a lot going on in this tea but it still manages to balance out nicely

I just don't think rooibos is for me. The medicinal taste was incredibly overpowering and despite a thorough washing, that taste clung to my filter and ruined the next few cups of my vanilla black tea. The chai aspect was delicious, but I just can't handle tea that tastes like medicine.

I'm more of a chocolate chai drinker, but this blend is incredible!

★★★★★

This is one of the best chai teas that I've ever had - with milk and sugar, it's absolutely heavenly. I haven't tried it iced yet, but I'm sure that it's excellent.

Great with or without milk, the smell reminds me a little of Christmas but great for anytime of the year. Can be steeped at least twice, the second time has just as much flavor, but brings out a bit more of the spicier notes. Overall a great tea.

I've never had rooibos before, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's milder than the black tea, yet still delicious with cream and sugar.

This is my favorite chai. I tend to find that chais made with black tea get bitter too easily for me. This tea is spicy, but stays smooth and has no bitterness! Plus its caffeine free for that late night tea craving. I'm definitely going to order more of this.

I just can't get enough of this. What a wonderful replacement for morning coffee (coffee gives me jitters). With just a little creamer, this stuff is like heaven in a mug!

I adore Chai, and Vanilla is the best of all. Add a bit of milk for the best Chai Tea Latte of your life

One of my top favorites. I love chai teas, but this one is exceptional. It is spicy, sweet, and full bodied. Mix it with either masala chai or the apple spiced chai. YUM!
