Not what I thought it would be based on the description. Had a nip to it. Could not tell if there was a vanilla flavor.

★★★★★

It's the best of both worlds: chai and rooibos done exceptionally well. The rooibos lends itself well to a hearty flavor and the chai fills that role well. It tastes like a creamy cafe vanilla chai. however this tea doesn't need any sugar or cream (although I'm sure it'd go well with it). It's the tea equivalent of comfort food without any guilt. Definitely a new favorite of mine.

★★★★★

I was not expecting to like this tea. Rooibos is not my favorite, and I haven't had much experience with chai. But wow. Seriously amazing stuff. The ginger in the chai is immediately apparent from the scent, and it's a lovely fragrant tea, once brewed, sweet and complex. I liked it best when I brewed it longer and added honey. The spiciness from the ginger seemed to come out most in the last few sips. Definitely one of my new favorites!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I love rooibos tea (always reminds me of Ma Ramotswe!) This was smooth, sophisticated and enjoyable!

★★★★★

Delicious! Balance between sweet and spicy, super warm. Super-comfortable when on cold nights.

★★★★☆

The sweet flavor from the rooibos and vanilla go quite well with the spice from the chai. Tasted quite nice.

★★★★☆

A tea that we'd definitely order again. For our tastes, this and the spiced apple chai are just the right amount of spice.

★★★☆☆

I wasn't a big fan of this one, the after taste wasn't what I expected. If you are a big fan of Chai you will probably still like it.

★★★★☆

This chai is pretty good but could use a little more spice, maybe I will add a cinnamon stick to it.

Rooibos vanilla chai tea has now become another one of my favs!!

★★★★★

This is perfect when I want chai before bed. The fruity rooibos flavor does come through a bit more than I'd like, but steeping properly keeps it in proportion with the spice.

★★★★★

I had never had a chai tea where I've had to brew it myself before. (And that's sad, I used to be a barista, but it was concentrated and in a carton.) It is SO delicious! Of course I added a bit of milk to it - I mean, it IS Chai - but it has quickly become a favorite.

★★★☆☆

The dry tea smelled really sweet and strongly of vanilla, but unfortunately it doesn't carry over much to the brewed tea. It's nice, and it's got a subtle hint of spice, but it's altogether an unremarkable rooibos.

I really liked this tea! I'm a big fan of the plain rooibos, but this won my heart. A splash of milk and a bit of honey and it's wonderful.

★★★★★

The tea is beautiful and I can see the large pieces of orange peel and cardamom.

★★★★★

My new go-to herbal tea with enough of a flavor punch to make me forget there's no chemical stimulant (caffeine). The spices are well balanced in this chai.

★★★★★

I took the liberty of making my own chai tea latte with this one and it turned out soooo good. I can't wait to try the other chais

★★★★☆

While this blend had a bit more of a thickened spice and snap than I'm used to in a rooibos vanilla chai, I really enjoyed the smoothness of the spice in that the ingrediants didn't just separate together into something gritty. All in all, a very lovely chai blend, espcially with some milk and brown sugar to mellow it out.

★★★★★

I adore this tea. I picked the sampler because I wasnt sure how it was going to turn out but Im very glad I took the chance with this tea.

★★★★★

Vanilla and chai flavors dance beautifully together.

★★★★★

I love Vanilla Chai! It's one of my favorites. I usually like to try new flavors instead of ordering the same ones, but this was worth ordering again!

★★★★★

Very warming, very sweet, and awesome with all this cold weather we're having. Definitely going back on the wishlist.

★★★★★

This chai tea is much better than any I've had at any cafe. I loved it.

★★★★★

I think I love this tea. It might replace the Marsala Chai as my go-to for chai. It has a smooth vanilla flavor with no harshness from the spices. I brew it by boiling 2 cups of water, adding in 8 tsp of chai, boil for 2 minutes. Then I add in 2 cups warmed milk (I use vanilla soy) and simmer for 5 minutes. I add in some honey to taste, and I'm good to go. I will be buying more of this in the future.

I don't think I'm a fan of chai tea so maybe my review shouldn't count. I thought I'd give it a try with a free sample. I didn't like it.

★★★★★

Perfect nighttime chai option. A little sweet, without any of the bite of black tea. Not nearly as clove-y as the Masala (no cloves at all actually). Works well with milk and sugar but it doesn't need it. Pleasant spice!

I think this tea is pretty delicious! I could see myself blending it with a few others to make a fall-ish drink.

★★★★★

My husband and I both love this tea. Is got a great chai flavor, the vanilla is not overwhelming, and it's caffeine free!

★★★★☆

I can't drink most teas because of the caffeine content, so I was glad to find one with chai flavoring on a rooibos base. Good and spicy. I like it strong with a little milk and sweetener.

this isn't my favorite chai, but it's still tasty!

★★★☆☆

I tried this sampler to see if I like rooibos tea. I do not. This tea smells divine in the package but once brewed it smells medicinal. Coincidentally, it also tasted medicinal to me. The chai helped a lot for me but I guess any type of rooibos isn't for me.

★★★★☆

A smooth and spicy cup, less bitter than regular chai can be when unsweeted. The vanilla notes in the rooibos leave me with a feeling of spice cakes when I drink a cup of this.

★★★★★

Not a huge fan of rooibos tea, but chai and vanilla are tempting enough to give it a try. Glad I did because it's perfect and has just the right amount of sweetness.

★★★☆☆

This wasn't bad, but I don't think I can transition easily from my familiar spicy chai that makes your eyes pop to this. The rooibos is not my favorite tea, but I wanted to try it for a nighttime chai.

★★★★★

Really liked this one as well -- you can really taste the vanilla and the chai.

★★★★★

I think of all of the flavors I've tried so far this is my favorite.

★★★★★

I've tried a number of differed rooibos chai blends and currently find this one to be the most appealing of the lot. It is both smooth and spicy.

★★★★★

So far one of my favorite teas. This will wake you up no matter how tired you are.

★★★★★

This is one of my top 3 favorite teas, love love. I add a bit of milk and raw sugar.

good for a diversion from plain rooibos. nice hint of sweet

★★★★★

This is one of those teas that I just run to as soon as I see snow falling outside. I hate the winter, I hate snow, but I sure do love the feeling of a nice warm cup of tea when everything else is freezing.

★★★★★

I love having a decaf chai. I like being able to have the spice in the evenings without keeping me up. The vanilla blends nicely with the spices. It is a subtle background flavor that keeps the spice from becoming overwhelming .

★★★★★

I love this tea! Its spicy and warm feeling to it without the caffeine! It is the perfect nighttime cup!

★★★★☆

I am brand new when it comes to Chai. That's an important consideration. That being said, I found this to be quite spicy and a little too fluid when steeped in water alone. When I added a splash of milk and a little Turbinado sugar, everything mellowed a little and it got smoother. It's good if you know what you're getting!

★★★★★

I love the flavor! I cannot have black teas, but this is the closest I have come to a black tea without it having black tea in it. Love it!

★★★★★

brewed in milk. add sugar. wonderful. the spicey fun is fabulous.

★★★★★

A bold and assertive chai yet caffeine free! A perfect combination. The perfect warming tea, full of flavor. This blend has changed my mind about roobis teas!

★★★★★

This stuff is fantastic! It's my first experience with chai, but I was really unprepared for the diversity of the flavor that this tea has. The vanilla doesn't outweigh the spices, and the spices don't outweigh the vanilla. I'll definitely be getting this again!

★★★★★

Without cream or milk, you definitely get more of the clove taste, and as usual with Chais, it mellows out with milk. I actually like to oversteep this a little and add honey and whole milk or half and half. This way, the vanilla really sings.
