I love chai teas but not when they have even a small amount peppercorn.
The rich complexity of oolong tea lays a smooth foundation for a majestic cup, packed with savory spice notes and hypnotic aroma.

I love chai teas but not when they have even a small amount peppercorn.
I didn't expect to like this tea because I'm not a huge 'cinnamon first' fan. But this one is enjoyable! It's got a lovely sweetness about it that helps the cinnamon not punch you in the mouth. I don't get the other notes mentioned in the description, but overall the tea is enjoyable.
Very strong on the spices, it was overpowering even for a chai.
This is a lovely chai with a strong cinnamon flavor. So warming and enjoyable. I enjoyed it with a splash of oat milk and a drip of honey. Very nice afternoon treat!
Very much cinnamon flavored and scented! The oolong is smooth and the spices give it good warmth! A good spice forward tea and a great intro to chai teas!
Dark, rich, spicy! I love this aromatic, flavorful tea. The spicy cinnamon shines through when it's hot, but slightly cooled, and with a dollop of sweet cream, the chocolate, cardamom, and clove sneak in as well. This will be added to my shelves!!
Excellent chai tea with a wonderful balance of spice. Really enjoying this one!
This is one of my favorite chai from Adagio! It is one of the few teas I have bought a large bag of.
CommuniTEA Sample: A very nice chai cinnamon blend. I have not had many Oolong Chai blends, but this one is pretty good. Unfortunately, the Oolong is a bit too far in the background, so you mostly taste cinnamon, followed by Chai, then the oolong. A good cup of tea, but could be a bit better with a bolder oolong.
One of my fAvorite Chai blends. Delicious cinnamon flavor and the Oolong makes this one a super star blend!
Great tea!
Oooooh, I taste the sweetness of cinnamon and the spicy too! I wish I had sugar and dairy to thoroughly enjoy this one, but it is just as good without it. The building I work in is cold so this satisfied the warmth.
What a satisfying cup! Warming spices, smooth oolong flavor. It’s festive and perfect for a cold winter day.
Decent chai blend. Primary flavor in this tea is a strong, sweet cinnamon, similar to a cinnamon candy flavor. Underlying notes of oolong and cardamom, not picking up any of the other ingredients but it is a pleasant cinnamon tea.
This is a blend that surprised me. I’m not often a fan of chais, but I love what this blend has going on! The earthy, mineral base of the oolong creates a different take on the traditional blend and I’m here for it. It has a warm, toasted nose and depth of flavor that is layered with spices in the sip. It’s not too spicy; it’s just right! Adding some sweetener takes this tea over the top. I will definitely be putting some of the raja in my cart soon and welcoming it to my court with a smile! Happy Sipping!
Glad it was chilly in Florida today, so I could enjoy the warming spices of this tea combo even more. What an interesting chai tea, my new favorite. Love this delicious chai blend of oolong tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, chicory, cocoa nibs, natural spicy cinnamon flavor, black peppercorn & cloves. A really complex, smooth and mellow chai. As it cooled different distinct herbal flavors came forward. Very nice tea blend.
Love this tea! Oolong is such a good backdrop for chai spices. This one is heavy in the spice!
Heavy on the cinnamon, light on the chai. Has a honey aftertaste. The cinnamon is just too heavy for my liking. I think other cinnamon teas (i.e. fiery cinnamon spice) are mor balanced.
Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Very strong fragrance of cinnamon with pepper from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F, I notice cinnamon, black pepper, and funky woodiness of the oolong and chicory. When I take a sip, I notice mainly cinnamon. It seems to overpower the other ingredients in my packet today. I don't notice the cocoa nibs or the other spices. I have had this tea before and it is very good.
A lovely chai with plenty of cinnamon. Great on its own but also flavorful enough to blend with a turmeric chai to get the added health benefits. The pepper is also supposed to improve the benefits. Truly delicious. I will be ordering more.
It smells nice, tastes like a spicy chai, but there’s nothing special about it for me. It’s just okay.
This is a mild, smooth chai. The underlying oolong makes it more mellow, and it's not too overpowering. It has a sweet cinnamon finish. This tea seems more subtle than most of Adagio's other chai and spiced offerings, and I like it better for that. It's great plain, and would probably be fine with minimal cream or sugar, though it's flavors might disappear in a latte. A nice holiday tea especially.
Normally I am not a chai fan, however, I loved this blend. It is just the right amount of spice without being gaggy.
I mix this with the Samurai Mate and it tastes just like the Teavana sample. It's my go-to daily tea.
not a fan of the artificial cinnamon scent. willing stay away from spiced teas from now.. was looking forward :/
Absolutely warm and enticing with it’s spicy cinnamon flavor.
One of my favorite Chais to date. It has a wonderful spice blend and pairs great with a bit of honey.
Delicious. Strong taste of cinnamon and spices, but also has just the right amount of sweetness. I just ordered a sample size, but will get more with my next order.
the cinnamon in this tea comes through so powerfully and sweetens this tea. cery strong and warming
If you love cinnamon or chai, get this. It is a flavorful tea perfect for this chilly season. With calming ingredients, but high caffeine I save this for snowy mornings between shoveling. @adagioteas
One of my favorite chai teas! Lots of cinnamon flavor and a bit of sweetness to it.
This is delicious! It delivers a mouthful of flavor.
Mix equal parts of raja oolong with the samurai mate and cinnamon chips and this is almost exactly like Teavanas chai tea. This is definitely my new go to.
This is a good, strong Chai. I like it hot but it is also good cold.
Just the right amount of spiciness I was looking for to get me cozied up for the cold months. I'm picky about my chai's and this one is definitely in my top 5. Perfect on it's own, but also with a touch of sweetener. I went through this too quickly so will be ordering a larger bag.
This is a pretty good Chai blend over all! I find I'm always a bit underwhelmed by the flavor one can get from steeping chai the same as other loose leaf teas, versus brewing chai on the stove how I do when I have more time. For a quick cozy mug of tea this is lovely though!
This is such a great, spicy chai. I love the well rounded flavour, and the zesty tingle of spices. Such a warm, comforting cup. @adagioteas
I love the spices in this chai. It has become a family favorite.
Deliciously flavorful but more mildly spiced than some chai blends. I can enjoy it without added milk or sweetener of any kind. With each sip I note an initial burst of sweetness that then fades away-- kind of a fun game for the taste buds. :) It almost tastes like licorice root, but that's not one of the ingredients.
Reading a description of this tea and the ingredient list, I was all in, but in reality it's too much. The natural cinnamon flavor and/or cloves could come out. It's too reminiscent of Red Hots or those cinnamon disk candies for my taste.
I have been looking for the perfect tea combo to recreate my favorite old Teavana blend. 2 parts of Raja Oolong Chai mixed with 2 parts Samurai Mate and 1 part Masala Chai is the money combo. Spicy, warm, and delicious with a touch of tropical sweetness from the Samurai Mate. Super delicious even though I am still trying to get my full taste back from having covid a few months ago.
A perfect replacement for the maharaja chai oolong from Teavana. One of the only chais I drink.
This tea is my favorite by far. I call this my joy in a cup. The spices really stand out for a full-bodied flavor.
This is a great cinnamon based chai tea. It's naturally sweet and warming without being too spicy. I'm not a fan of chai teas with a lot of black pepper or cloves so this one is perfect for me.
I mix this with the Samurai Mate for an amazing tea blend!
I know this is a cinnamon-forward blend, but it does overwhelm the other spices. There's also a cloying, sticky sweetness underlying the entire thing-- it seems to appear in a lot of common cinnamon-flavored blends, and I suspect it's the added flavoring, or maybe it's coming from too much chicory. I was very hopeful about the ingredient list, but ultimately I did not enjoy this as much as I'd hoped.
This is a really good tea with multiple flavor levels of spice and richness with a hint of sweet. It is close to an old 'raja' oolong I used to drink before they closed. I always add a bit of sugar to mine to help with the ever so slight bitterness if the spices.
Overall, this tea is very nice, though I’d probably recommend Masala Chai over this if you’re looking for a more Indian-style chai. The cinnamon in this drink is good if not a little overwhelming, so much so that most of the other flavors get covered by it. Overall it’s a fine tea, but there are defiantly better chais out there.
One of my new favorites- it tastes like Christmas and Fall and everything good.
I user a Ninja Hot and cold system and I use the Specialty chai setting and this Tea is AMAZING. i alternate between this and Marcela Chai. 10 out of 10 for both!!!
