Mostly cinnamon in flavor. On the mild side. Delightful with cream and sugar.

Reminds me quite a bit of the fiery cinnamon we tried in the CommuniTEA not too long ago. Very enjoyable. I didn't notice much in the way of the cocoa nibs or the other spices as cinnamon predominated. But I loved the smooth, sweet, and spicy flavor of this one. I'll have to drink this and the fiery cinnamon one back to back to really compare them.

It's a good cinnamon tea. I don't feel that all the complexities it states come though, in my cup i got a lot of cinnamon and that is pretty much all i could taste. Not complaining though it's a good cup of cinnamon tea.

★★★★★

Cinnamon tea with a kick of ginger and clove and a surprise of black peppercorn. Not bitter or overwhelming, it does not need any added sweetener, although it has been suggested that cream and sugar enhances it even more. This cup will warm you up on a chilly day. The one catch is that you must like cinnamon because that is the dominant smell and taste.

I found this heavy on the cinnamon, which overwhelmed the other spices, and made it hard to appreciate any difference this oolong base makes vs the usual chai base of black tea. It's fine, just not very distinctive.

★★★★★

I think i brewed it too weak as i like a strong oolong tea. But i mostly tasted strong cinnamon.

Let me start by saying I am cinnamon lover... and this Oolong with Chai blend is rather delicious. However noted as a Chai drinker, must say the Oolong tea has a more diverse flavor that stands out over the Chai. However It didn’t stop the Smells of holidays to dance around my kitchen, hints of spice yelling cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, chai with a hint of chicory. No cocoa noted☹️ but a savory & spicy cup of Cinnamony for communitea today! Glad to be able to sample so many different teas! (7mins since I like my Chai flavors @ 212f)

Love this Chai! This is the kind of Chai that made Chai my favorite tea for a long time. I wish this had been in the Chai sampler, I would have already purchased a big bag of this and been enjoying it for months. I love cinnamon and this has the perfect amount for my tastes. Sweet without added sugar. Perfect! I have seen a couple reviews that said this reminded them of a tea from Teavana, and that they mix it with another tea (just like Teavana did). I agree, I had a big can of that tea because it was my favorite. Still a tiny bit left, but the taste is fading with the years. That was a mix of “white Ayurvedic Chai” and “Samurai Chai Mate”. So happy to find this replacement! Teavana always sucked me in with their samples. I really miss those quick samples that led to lifetime favorites, and places to refill my cans of tea (I really wish there wasn’t so much plastic involved here). But the CommuniTea is a great way to enjoy those samples right at home!

This tea is a lovely cinnamon tea. It does not hav all of the flavors of a traditional masala chai, but that is just fine. The warm cinnamon is a great flavor for a cold day.

This is a nice oolong tea, but for me, the cinnamon was a bit overpowering. I feel that it dominated the overall taste, leaving little room for other flavors to present themselves.

This chai bites like a tiger, and I absolutely love it. The peppery taste lingers, and when tamed a bit with milk and sugar, it's a wonderful morning wake up.

This doesn't taste like chai at all. Upon first opening the packet, I was slammed with that fake cinnamon candy fragrance, and I don't like those. First brewed with a hint of sweetener, and it didn't taste like much of anything. Added a splash of heavy whipping cream and as someone in the CommuniTea pointed out, it ended up with a cinnamon-toast like flavor. Not bad, but definitely not chai. All the other complex flavors that make a chai CHAI got lost in the overwhelming cinnamon.

Very spicy cinnamon flavor with hints of cloves and peppercorns. Personally I would prefer even
More cinnamon but very good to warm me up on a cold winter morning.

I was happy to see everything present in my communiTEA packet today. The scent is overwhelmingly cinnamon, the kind that you get from a pack of gum or red hots! As a Chai tea, I find the flavours are unbalanced, the cinnamon overpowering everything else and obliterating the contributions that the other spices valiantly try to make. I can't even find a trace of the oolong tea taste, its just concentrated cinnamon throughout the entire sip and as the lingering taste. I feel that a tea that is labelled as a chai should give up more than one spice note, and I'm getting nothing else... If you are looking for a cinnamon tea, this is your pick, but as a chai, it is a miss for me.
I think that it could be used as a nice way to spice up hot apple juice, it will be a nice kind of mulled cider effect.

Chai of any sort is a favored cup, but this tea combines the fiery surprise of cinnamon with a smoothness at once soothing and substantial. Remarkably good!

A decent chai, though the cinnamon is a little aggressive.

Delicious chai! Very cinnamon forward with a hint of ginger and cocoa. May get this once I run out of the obscene amount of chai on hand.

I let this oversteep a little, and sweet cinnamon! There were a lot of complaints with the hot cinnamon tea that it wasn’t “cinn” enough, so those folks should try this one. I added some milk, since I knew it was going to be strong, and it was a nice and bracing punch to my tongue. So, if you want your tongue punched by cinnamon, try this!

Everybody sounded-off for roll call in my communiTEA packet this morning. I was really excited to see the cocoa nibs and black peppercorns sitting side by side planning their attack! I decided that I wanted the full Indian chai effect by adding some milk product and sugar. The oolong appeared to be a dark brown, so I had no issues on sticking with a 212ºF steep.

When hot, mild peppercorn zings, cinnamon, ginger flavors were noted. When warm, mild cocoa, clove and piney cardamom flavors were noted. Black peppercorns became more active with more zings nippin’ at my tongue. The chicory, cocoa nibs and oolong worked together to provide moderate coffee-like vibes.

This was very invigorating and wake-me-up morning sip. The half & half smoothed all the flavors together into what I needed to get me hoppin’ today! (5 mins @ 212ºF, 3/8 tsp sugar, 1 tsp half & half)

Okay, I am not a chai fan, so when I saw this was a chai and smelled the packet, I was sure I wouldn't like it that much. I don't hate them by any stretch, but I just don't like them.

THIS chai? This is my chai. It's not too dry, it's not so spicy that you lose the sweetness. There's an emphasis on the cinnamon, at least as far as my CommuniTEA packet went, and I can only imagine that with a splash of creamer and a little bit of sweetener, it'd taste a little bit like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

This one is so going on my wishlist. Love it!

This is a great chai. I taste something a little nutty in addition to the cinnamon. I’m guessing it’s the chickory. I am starting to really appreciate oolong.

This oolong has a natural sweetness to it from the cinnamon flavoring that is fantastic on its own with no added sweetener. It's almost like a strong cinnamon candy like fireballs or hot tamales, and reminds me a lot of the Harney hot cinnamon spice tea. Will definitely keep a bag on hand for the holiday season.

I've met my chai match! Really enjoyed this blend that is strong on cinnamon, but the cloves, ginger, cardamom and oolong are tasty as well. Didn't get much from the cocoa nibs, but they probably are smoothing everything out and grounding all the spunky spices. Added a bit of oat milk to the second half of my cup and enjoyed it that way as well. A winner for me!

Loved this tea and the spicy cinnamon in it. My first sip to check if it was sufficiently steeped was all chocolate, which I actually don’t care for (not a huge chocolate fan), but it didn’t come through much once I drained all of the tea into my cup (bottom draining teapot). I actually had a sample size of this one in my cart to try, so I’m thrilled to have it in my communiTEA today. I’ll definitely be ordering it.

What I notice most is the cinnamon. Both types, natural and flavored - maybe that’s cinnamon oil. Cinnamon. It’s good with lightener and sweetener. Cinnamon.

Combined with samurai mate. It's just like Teavana's chai. Mix before pouring, since sweetness sinks to the bottom. Not sure if I'm overbrewing.

I really enjoyed this tea! I used to get a blend from Teavana that I liked and could not get any more. Then I discovered this site and WOW I am impressed! I mix this with the Samurai Mate and for me it is a cozy cup of comfort. Thank you for making such great teas!

Very very good. Some say this has too much cinnamon flavor but it’s definitely one of my favorite teas. I add some heavy whipping cream and it’s *chefs kiss*

Raja Oolong Chai has a smooth tea base with complementary cinnamon overtones. A long steep increases the cinnamon bite while the oolong remains smooth and not bitter.

This one is too sweet for me. In the bag, almost only cinnamon. Tried this hot on its own, and it's also very cinnamony. I can taste the other spices, but it's not as balanced as other Agagio chai teas. It's also already very sweet on its own. I added milk and honey as I always do to my chais, that's how I like them, and it is REALLY sweet now. Not for me. I will finish the sample with just or on its own, but this will not be my go to chai. The Masala chai is a better balanced blend, and not as sweet.

Cinnamon-dominant chai, with the oolong being fairly hidden by the spices. Naturally sweet from the cinnamon, takes cream well.

Smells strongly of cinnamon, reminds me of a cinnamon broom. I like the spice mix, it's strong. Tea body is lighter than a black tea which initially turned me off but I actually think it's nice. I wouldn't put milk in this one, as I'm not sure the tea would stand up to it. The spices probably would.

This is a really lovely dark chai blend. I might personally prefer the roibos chai, but if you love a nice dark oolong tea & you love chai, you'll definitely love this, too.

I've used it for a chai simple syrup (which I add to coffee & cocktails), and its strong flavor is perfect for that.

This tea had a lot of promise from the description. There was a certain sweetness that I didn’t like - I’m not sure if it’s the cinnamon flavor or what. It reminded me of a strong cinnamon gum or toothpaste.

Love this tea. This is my weekend indulgence. You need to use a lot more tea than most teas and if you like the bite of the spices, you have to let it steep as long as possible; hence why I use it on weekends and not during the week. I add just a small amount of honey and it perfect.
